Booked 3 deluxe rooms and we stayed on 13th floor. This hotel has great view over the city. What impressed us most is the staff of the hotel who are very friendly and helpful. Overall Muong Thanh Lao Cai is a good value hotel and our stay was comfortable.

Bed bugs (seriously bites on my arm), airconditioning didn't work, boiler wasn't turned on, so cold showers. Nobody spoke English (not 1 word). Wood termites ('kloptor' in Dutch) were eating at the wood at night, which kept us awake (besides the blistering heat). The western breakfast was not good (wet eggwhite with one crushed baguette). In short: I would not recommen...
