Compared to Manila, Legazpi is a sanctuary. The pace is slower, the air is cleaner, there is much less traffic, food is good and authentic, and people are friendlier and more honest.
It's fun just capturing Mayon Volcano from the areas around it.
the bicolanos are really friendly and compassionate person... I met 2-3 locals thru the plane and jeep that I rode, they showed me real meaning of being hospitable and helpful.
They made good impression of true Bicolanos are made of and proved it... My hats off to Bicolanos, one of the most cordial people i have met. Will definitely go back if there will be airline promos again
Beautiful city, nice people, good FOOD. I really love their unique food. Try First Colonial Grill, Bigg's Diner and most especially Small Talk Cafe.
Go to Cagsawa Ruins too!
Legazpi is a perfect place to visit. Whether you like sightseeing, sports and recreation, beaches, nature, religious interests, dining, relaxation.
. the sight of Magayon alone will leave you breathless.. i highly recommend visiting Legazpi to see the magnificent creations of God and the wonders of nature.
Everything is within a short trycicle ride. Locals helped find a bureaux de change on a Sunday without trying to take advantage of our ignorance.
Love the place! Mount Mayon is majestic! Lignon hill took 20minst to walk up and capture the view. Stunning. Lots of bars past the Embarcadero with lovely huts sitting in the side of the sleeping lion hill. Best to stay for more than a couple of days. Not the time to do everything.
Legazpi is a nice place to enjoy extreme sports activities, nature I've also recommend to those couples who are planning to do a trip.
Great place to hike, scuba, see whalesharks. I was there during the Magayan festival and there was always something going on.
I stayed three nights should have stayed four or five to do all the main attractions.
this city captured my heart from the moment i landed, the amazing landscape, the simple houses and the easy going life style.
make a place that i cant wait to come back to. the city is very easy to get by, Jeeps are every where. food is fantastic, and i strongly recommend forgetting about all the fast food chains, and hit the tiny local weataries, food is just amazing there. and don't be scared to eat in the streets, its pritty safe. there are bars around for night life lovers however they close early. and dont forget to hit the Legaspi Bulivard, and amazing sea side walkway, packed with tiny restobars, Mayon volcano , Kagsawa ruins, lignion hill, and loads of churches are just a part of what one can see in this little city. definitely highly recommended.
Me and family had a memorable stay at Legazpi Hotel. The staff are accomodating and we have a perfect view of Mayon Volcano.
Very laid back city, malls close very early. The Mayon volcano and the sunken church is a good place to see.
