The second time I have stayed here. I come for conferences in Archaeology which are held in the city centre so it is good to be able to walk from the hotel to the venues. So all I need is a room and breakfast, and for that it is fine. Unfortunately due to it being such an old building there were lots of stairs to negotiate in order to get to the room which could be difficult for someone with limited mobility. The reception is only open until 7pm and I arrived at 8:30pm, so I had to call the owner's handphone (number written on the entrance) to get the code to enter the hotel. The hotel has no lift. It's not walking distance from main station but just take bus #45 or #46 no need to transfer, also bus stop is in front of the hotel!! Breakfast is much better than I expected. It's not only cold buffet but also hot buffet!! Most of staff was so nice except 1 who checked in me.

Friendly and helpful staff, value for money and a short walk to the city, attractions and Danube. A really cost effective and pleasant option.
the arcohotel is okay, but nothing special. it is a little walk to the area with the restaurants, but the location is nice. not really worth the price though and much better ones can be found nearby.
OK. Parking was problematic, dense without maneaverability and exit from parking into the street too narrow. Construction going on nearby produced excessive noise and dust. Closing windows did not enable proper ventilation.
It is a student dormitory, but for a few nights it was alright. Though summer days quite warm inside, because there is no AC. The location is good, close to the Danube and close to the city centre.
Simple but comfortable, the breakfast and staff are the best of their hotel. The price is worthy.
Although the other ibis was closer to the centre, the 15 minutes tram journey (€4 day ticket - €13,20 weekticket) gets you to down town Linz in no time. Going out gives you a little rest, the noise of traffic isn't too bad and sounds more like a sea breeze but with a nice outside view you feel a bit out of town once you go back into the hotel. Very old rooms, smell disgusting, mix of cigarettes smell and humidity. The girl at the counter was not very friendly. For her it was normal to d have a room that smells like that. Good luck for the next travelers!
