London is an interesting place to go. It is full of majestic and pre-historic places to go to. Though it is expensive place to visit, it it worth visiting.
I think London is a great city for a 3 to 4 day visit but more than that is just not necessary. You do need to leave time to stand in long lines.
It is completely worth it to always pay for the fast track tickets. It will save you hours and hours of time.
London has many places of interests to see, we were only there for two nights and there is a lot to see, so I would recommend to give yourself about 3-5 days to explore London.
London was not what I ever expected. Never thought it would be that beautiful. It definitely is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
London might look unreal on your web browsing but when you are there everything makes sense and the city is complete. Both river sides are beautiful, one more historical and the other is the modern one. It is worth a really long stay. 2 nights were not enough for me. Even those attractions that you might consider overrated worth a visit. Please don't focus only on monuments. Places like Chinatown also deserve your attention and you will be impressed.
London is a wonderful place - you can do anything you might want to do - walking in the park - travel on boat on the river - go to musicals or theaters - concerts .
There are all sorts of museums and attractions. The Eye lifts you high over the city - Tower and Westminster are great. It is useful to buy a Oyster card and download an app to help you find your way. People are generally polite and friendly. I will certainly come back :)
Has so many attractions, shops and restaurants that is difficult to choose for a short trip. Very busy.
Full of people everywhere. Beautiful contrasts between old and new. Great public transportation. But weather was dreadful in November and people were not particularly nice, some certainly snobby and arrogant. I observed a lack of facilities for the handicap. Expensive due to a 20% tax and the currency exchange. Metro is expensive as well, but museums are free with voluntary donation. It rained and was cloudy almost every day of my one week stay. I was told best time to go is summer for weather despite the crowds.
London is always a city that you need to visit just like Paris and New York, you can not do without it.
It is a city full of many historic and interesting places just like Sherlock Homes, Harry Potter, Museums, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadily Circus etc.
London is a very stylish city, with a stunning business district, beautiful river side and excellent shopping opportunities.
Initially I thought I would get bored if I stay longer than 5 days but in fact even after 11 days I still haven't quiet visit the whole parts of London and the great tourist spots around UK.
Be sure to check out the Beatles shop, The Sherlock Holmes Museum, The Tate Modern Art Gallery, Notting Hill & Portobello Market, take the tour to visit Windsor castle, Bath and the Stonehenge is certainly a worthwhile experience. Don't bother taking taxis to go around the city, if you wanna save money just take the tube and use Oyster card coz it is much cheaper.
London definitely exceeded my expectations. The locals are very friendly and helpful. One of my favourite places I visited for a concert during my stay, which I feel is underrated, was Alexandra Palace.
London has the most amazing and efficient transportation systems in the world. Everyone should visit London at least once in their lifetime!
This is definitely to me the best city to visit. Its a must. Its vibrant and racially integrated. The city is filled with iconic building and has so much history.
For a city , it has an awesome food dining experience for all cuisines and too many things to see for all walks of life. I lived here for 11 years and would still come back here just to experience the life of london.
Det er en travl storby med rigtig gode metro/ bus muligheder. Mange spændende attraktioner/ markeder etc.
Man får gået en del;)
London, in my opinion, is something like a city in the park. So many parks here to relax and feel the nature.
London is a beautiful place with historical things. You should not miss enjoying one opera and it is amazing!
My number one choice of cities ( side by side with Sydney, Australia ). You can never feel bored in London and it is where you can find just about everything even if your Bank Account is low.
Central London is nice as it has a good blend of the modern city against some of its well preserved historical buildings.
It is a bit busy though. Areas outside Central London like Egham, Windsor are much less busy. Good areas for sightseeing and soak in the daily lives of the locals. The train network is very good though got to watch out for the bumpy schedule.
There is so much to do and see in London but it has become incredibly expensive and except for the museums (many of which are free) is now exceptionally poor value for money when compared with alternative destinations.
Personally, compared to other great cities to visit, including say: New York, San Francisco, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, Edinburgh, Istanbul, Delhi, Cairo, Cape Town, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Edinburgh, Rio, and countless other smaller places, London is a big waste of money.
Visit east london and Portabello road during weekend if you are looking for some flea market and vintage stuffs.
London weather was unstable. On a rainy day, changing guard at Buckingham Palace was cancelled without prior notice.
I visited Queen's Theatre and watched Les Miserables. It was really good! I would highly recommend tourist who are visiting London and a fan of musical to catch at least one musical in London because it is really worth it.
It's a choice that you will never regret. There are a lot of musicals available in London, available about 5 days a week and there are 2 timings in a day (afternoon and evening). The crews there are awesome and really friendly. Though the theatre might be small and cramp but it's really good if you managed to choose the right seat! Also, if you are in London for more than 3 days and if you travel more than twice a day, it's cheaper and more worthwhile to get the 7-days unlimited pass for the Oyster Card! One trip would probably cost you about 3.50 Pounds!
Central London is very different from south or east london. The things in central is very expensive whereas the south or east is relatively cheaper, but still it is not so cheap as my country.
I recommend central london for tour and sightseeing as in the east there is nothing attractive.
One of the reasons I love London it's my love for Musical. I would be more than happy to stay in London for more than 5 nights, however I have other places to visit.
Musicals are available almost every other day. Hence, I would highly recommend tourist who love catching musical back in their own country to at least try one of the musical in London. I'm pretty sure that's a choice you make and will never regret. They have lots of Musical going on every single day as they have so many theatres. Just pick one online, buy the ticket and go. However, beware that the theatre might not be very big and not all views are perfect. You will understand what I mean, once you watch at least one of the musical. :)
For travelers looking for sight-seeing, London had plenty to offers such as Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, football stadiums such as Chelsea and Arsenal and London bridge.
All of these places is reachable from its subway station.
For those who visited the UK for the second time, I would like to recommend to try The Legoland at Windsor resort.
No whether of age will enjoy this amusement park. During my visit, the ticket from the National train from London to Windsor can be used to buy a half price of Legoland ticket. Please check out this promotion before you decide to go there.
Like any other big city, London also big and crowded city but it's got culture. Many historical buildings such as Palace with its history and many old buildings as well.
They say if u like Paris u wont like London, I liked Paris and loved London. It is a fun city; defently a bussy one, but non the less interesting.
Great transport netvork, a lot of possibilities. A great city will wisit again...
beautiful cities, with lots of activity to be done such as sight seeing, trying new food, shopping and relaxing by the park and coffee place
