"We enjoyed our stay very much. Very attentive and friendly staff, good service and great food in the restaurant and beautiful views from the room as well as the restaurant. All the stairs (no elevator) are a bit of a hassle if you are traveling with a 7 weeks old baby. The provided babybed, babybath and bottle warmer are great service! "

"We (2 adults, one child) stayed in the upstairs apartment in July 2013 and loved it. We would definitely return. The apartment has a giant balcony with an expansive and stunning view of Lago Maggiore. We were pleased to have a kitchenette, perfect for making breakfasts (to be enjoyed al fresco of course) and there is a charcoal grill outdoors. There is a decent grocery store in the next town (just north of Colmegna) on the main road. Residenza Leonardo is a fantastic option for families. A larger group might want to rent the whole house. Easy walking distance to the town plaza with a park & pizzeria. The house has parking for 2-3 cars. Access issues: Note that the house is located on a steep cliff and requires a fair bit of stair climbing. Also, finding the apartment is a little difficult. There is no sign on the road (no street number, no apartment name), and nothing in the documentation tells you that the apartment is actually associated with the Hotel Camin Colmegna across the town plaza, and that you need to go check in at the hotel. This turns out to be great as you then have access to hotel facilities (including beach access). "
