Best hotels & accommodations in Lumbini

I enjoyed my stay at Ananda Inn. The location is great and it is right in front of the gate of Maya Devi Temple. I took bus from Pokhara and the bus stopped right in front of the way to the hotel. The restaurant served Nasi Goreng ala Indonesia which suprised me and many other choices with reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and they even provided me with a brea...

I and my friend had a very nice stay in Mirage Inn. We booked one night but then extended one more night because Lumbini has many things to discover and the hotel is in a very central location. The Mirage Inn is located just right there near the Gate 5 to Maya Devi Temple so we walked to the temple twice, one in the early morning and one late at night. The bus stop is ...

Very much enjoyed our three night stay. My brother and I visited Lumbini for the birthplace and monasteries, but even more, for a quiet contemplative low-key couple of days. This was an ideal choice for accommodations as it's a few km outside the main town, and very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is undergoing some impressive upgrades to the landscaping and facilitie...

Very good value for money in the Lumbini Bazaar. Basic but lovely touches such as the owner brought us incense sticks in the evening to get rid of mosquitoes. The shower in the un-attached bathroom worked well and the hotel was near many eateries for breakfast and food. Stayed for 2 nights which was enough time to see the Lumbini attractions, and the owner helped us wi...

My stay in the Stupa hotel was pleasant. The hotel is new and modern and the staff is very helpful. There was a strike on in Nepal at the time so not everything on the menu was readily available, but the kitchen did their best to accommodate my eating habits. Highly recommended!

Terrible service, careless staff. After many attempts to communicate with the staff, we finally checked into a room covered with mold. The smell was just horrible, and we could almost feel ourselves getting sick. It took a long time to make them understand that we would appreciate another room, and when we finally succeeded, we were given a room just as gross. The ceil...

I stayed 1 day to visit at Lumbini area. Location is very good to entrance gate. At timing I visited festival at the garden had been held. Hotel staff guided me out to it and birthplace of Buddha. They gave me very kind hospitality. But room facility(shower, bed, air conditioner and light) is not good. I think it is just common level as local basic hotel.

Traveler impressions of Lumbini
I went to Lumbini 20 years ago & was horrified at how trashed it looks now. Rubbish all around the walls of the religious site.
Apart from Lumbini park, the area really don't offer a lot of excitement - it is a very very small country side city, with houses of mud and grasses.
Must see the place...important and the great place for Bhuddist...must spend more time for visit and chanting/pray at Lumbini Park, Lord Buddha Birth Place.
The obvious place to visit is where the Buddha was born, which is within walking distance of the hotel.
