"Location and pricing made Barefoot Beach (Club/Resort/Hotel all were stated) good four our short 2 day stay. Very close to Johns Pass where food, shopping. and day cruises are plentiful. The one bedroom king was a converted hotel room so the living area was good, could have used another end table or coffee table to put drinks on. The room had a microwave and dorm refrigerator and very small sink/ counter area. Some hang up space also. Hotel staff were very nice."

"This place was very basic. It was clean, had cable tv and WiFi but that was about it. The pool was nothing like the pictures. The fitness center had 2 hand weights and a couple of machines. It did have 2 couches if you wanted to go in and work on your sitting skills. There was no “spa” that was open. No beach towels were provided. We had a view of palm trees and beyond the trees was another building. I understood that although views varied you would get marina or gulf. The advertised “restaurant and bar” were not even onsite. Nothing was provided. No coffee, toiletries or anything else. It was bare bones. I’m not a picky traveler but this experience is worth warning others about. For the same price I paid to stay here I could’ve stayed many other places. I chose this place based on the advertised amenities and view. I wanted a resort style vacation and thought that’s what I was getting. I was wrong. And stuck. I don’t recommend Madeira Bay Resort. Too many other (better) choices. "
