Air Rooms Madrid Airport by Premium Traveller
Barajas,Madrid - View on map
"I arrived in Madrid at 9:30 PM and had an early morning flight at 7. Because time was 'key' I choose to stay here. I was VERY IMPRESSED! Super easy to walk to on the bottom floor of Terminal 4. Very friendly and helpful staff who gave e me several suggestions for restaurants. The room has a very comfortable queen bed, TV, and very modern bathroom with any excellent shower. Everything is quite clean. There also was an expresso/coffee machine and had 2 cups to wake up in the morning. Yes - the fee was approx.$150 U.S., and I could have gotten a hotel 10 minutes away by train (that you get in T4) for perhaps U.S. $75, but - seriously - time was precious AND this hotel is Very Good value!"

Hotel Chamartín The One
Chamartín,Madrid - View on map
"This is the only hotel I know in Madrid. Whenever I go to Madrid, I stay there. It is very convenient for me because the metro and the train station are there. You can go to the airport by metro and it takes only 30/40 minutes. Also, if you travel to the rest of Spain (Avila, Salamanca), the train is also there, forget the hassle to find a taxi or a bus, or carry your luggage for more than 5 minutes. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are clear and with big windows. The bathroom is also very clean and the shower has a lot of pressure (even if you are on the 7th floor). There is a breakfast buffet with a lot of food. For me is perfect. The variety is great. I have read some reviews from customers that said that the food was not good. Well, in this case, these people have to go to a 3 starts Michelin. I recommend it and I will go again in March. "

NH Madrid Barajas Airport
Barajas,Madrid - View on map
"The NH Barajas Hotel is located conveniently close to the Madrid airport. The hotel is clean and simple. Internet access needs to be paid in the room but is free in the reception area. If you have a room in the main tower (lower floors) you might still use the free internet of the reception area. No dinner, but there is a nice local restaurant around the corner. Breakfast is OK. "

Eurostars Suites Mirasierra
Fuencarral-El Pardo,Madrid - View on map
"We were looking for a comfortable spacious hotel for our group vacation and found the Eurostars at Mirasierra to be actually much more beautiful than we expected. The beds were really comfortable and we really enjoyed to have a bath-tub and full mini-bar. One thing was a bit disappointing, as we had specifically looked for a hotel with wellness facilities and realised at the location that the use of the pool was not included for hotel guests and would be an additional 18 Euro per person (sauna and turkish bath were included, but the turkish bath was unfortunately not working properly and had a very unpleasant smell on the vapor of the room - probably bad waters. So we only used the Sauna, which had no temperature meter as well, I can tell you it was very, very, hot). We walked every day 10 minutes to the Metro-Station and took the train to the center of Madrid, an additional 35-40 minutes depending on which route you take. So that is also something to take in consideration!"

Vincci The Mint Hotel
City Center,Madrid - View on map
"In 3 weeks traveling through Spain this was my favorite Hotel. The staff were friendly and informative, fast service and a real sense of generosity about this property. Very quiet rooms even though we were on the main agran Via Road. Free coffee while waiting for check in substantial breakfast served until 2 pm. I would have loved if it had a small gym and pool however there are other options within Madrid close by if you need these facilities. "

NYX Hotel Madrid by Leonardo Hotels

"Nice hotel, well placed, just far enough away to make it a bit of an adventure to reach the city center. Great themes and decor, 80's-90's retro arcade games were a brilliant throw back. Good vibe, great bar, amazing breakfast, rooms were nicely styled to give a boutique feel. Would defo recommend and if in Madrid, would certainly stay again. Thank you NYX & staff. "

More about Madrid

Madrid is Spain’s capital city, and a favorite among world travelers. The modern metropolis is home to some of the most stunning architecture and artistic heritage in Europe. The city attracts many visitors, and there’s no shortage of accommodations or activities in this cosmopolitan city. Gothic cathedrals and immense neo-classical buildings are abundant throughout the city, while the centrally-located Plaza Mayor functions as the city's public meeting place and administrative center.

Hotels near Madrid-Barajas International Airport are linked to Madrid city center via metro, or travelers can easily find a Madrid city center hotel around Opera and Sol, the two most popular zones in the city center.

The major museums in the city are located near metro stops and sightseers can walk from one to the next. Many Madrid hotels are near city attractions, including the famous Museo Del Prado, which is home to an impressive classical art collection. Art enthusiasts would do well to visit the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum of Art, which contains masterpieces by renowned artists such as Van Gogh and Picasso.

Among Madrid’s stunning architecture is of course the Palacio Real , a massive palace where one can spend hours imagining what life must have been like for Spain’s royals.

Madrid’s Park of the Pleasant Retreat, known locally as El Retiro, is a massive public park offering a natural escape in the middle of the city. It’s easy to see why this natural treasure is often referred to as the Central Park of Madrid. There’s no shortage of exciting nightlife in Madrid, and the locals are just as active participants as the vacationers in the city.
