The city of Manali is a hill station on the Beas River in the Himalayas. It is very popular for the people of India and even international travelers thanks to its very cool temperatures, beautiful landscape, outdoor sports, and cultural sites. Bhuntar Airport serves the area, and it’ll take a taxi or bus ride to complete the final leg of the journey to reach Manali.

Being in the Himalayas, the city boasts its fair share of natural beauty and panoramic views. Rohtang Pass rises nearly 4,000 meters above sea level, providing magical views from above the clouds. There is a list of waterfalls that can be visited, and hot water springs can be enjoyed for some memorable relaxation. Solang Valley is a great place to go for the adventure-seeking traveler. Religious sites and temples of Tibetan Buddhist lineages and Hindu origin are abundant in Manali as well. Manali Gompa can be found here, with its large Buddha statue and wall paintings. Old Manali is located within close proximity to the city and will draw the history enthusiast with its ruined fort.
