"Quaint room in the "Chalet" (Really? Has the person who named this been to the Alps? I have, and this ain't no "Chalet" - Suitable Cottage, maybe, but not "Chalet") had a brass "No Smoking" plaque on door. Good. Except for that fact that it reeked of Marijuana. Took us all night with windows cracked, to get rid of the THC reek. Then (not the hotel's issue, but the whole Hippie State of Vermont's) we had to ski through a reek-cloud at the top of Stratton almost every time we summited. Vermont: the Stoner State of the NE. That's why they though it a good idea to make Bernie Sanders their Gov. And what's with these Podunk motels calling a disappointing bunch of carbos "Continental Breakfast". A "Continental Breakfast" originates in France and includes, fresh butter baked Croissant, fresh squeezed jus d'orange, fresh fruit, yoghurt and coffee. Cheap cereal & bag-bread is what you get in the USA. Ski Gore in North Creek, NY, and Whiteface, in Lake Placid, instead of VT. "

"We knew we were staying in a 2 star hotel but I never expected it to be this bad-- stained bedding and floors, and ants everywhere-- in the middle of winter. They must have been living in the walls and were all over our room when we woke up in the AM. The staff did nothing to help when we reported this. Never again!"

"An easy place to stay in the Manchester/Dorset region of Vermont. The people were agreeable and helpful, the room more than gracious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent. A large screen TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker were included in the room and the center of town was a short two-mile drive. I'd stay there again anytime I needed a place. "
