Eurotel Pedro Gil Hotel
Malate,Manila - View on map
"I have stayed at numerous Manila hotels in the past 20 years on my way to and from a second home in Cebu from NY-USA. For me a small, efficient and affordable accomodation convient to NAIA such as the Eurotel Pedro Gil is fine, especially if you are traveling solo. Wouldn't recommend for families as rooms are smaller sized on the order of the old European hotels of the post-World War II era. "

Regency Grand Suites
Malate,Manila - View on map
"My Filipina girlfriend and I decided to book 6days in the Regency Grand Suite and hoped it would be perfect for my last weeks stay in the Philippines. We were NOT dissappointed! We were greeted by the friendlest receptionist called Joseph who did everything for us from check us in to fixing the WIFI connection :) from there the stay in the hotel just got better. The location is perfect if you want to be central to Malate and it's right next to the mall. We stayed on the 32nd floor so obviously it was very quiet if you wanted to get away from the nightlife. The gym and the pool (very cold water ha) were great perfect to sit beside and relax. There are plenty of lovely Asian restaurants next to the hotel and the hotel is only short drive (100php) from Markati and the Fort. The room (a suite) was perfect it had plenty of power points (universal for 3pin plugs) a kitchen area with a microwave, kettle and fridge perfect for making snacks. The shower room was cozy and modern (don't forget to switch on the water heater) and after switching the water heater on the hot rain shower was wonderful. The view was magnificent from the 32nd floor balcony viewing out onto Manila bay and the cities beyond. The bed is huge but the space around the bed is limited but never the less its very cozy and perfect for me and my filipina girlfriend. The room also had a very modern flat screen TV with satelite channels such as HBO and PBO and other filipino channels. In short our stay in the Regency Grand Suites was wonderful and we shall most certainly be booking to stay here again on my next holiday. Special thanks to Joseph on reception who was amazing at getting us settled and was so attentive throughout our stay there. Many Thanks to all the team."

City Park Hotel Manila
Bonifacio Global City (BGC) / Taguig,Manila - View on map
"I was positivly surprised by the size and standard of the rooms. Being a experienced traveller in the Philippines, I am used to lower standards and lacking cleanliness. The staff was very friendly, good breakfast buffet and restaurant with entertainment on the rooftop must make this the best hotel in this area. If you avoid traffic time morning and afternoon, it's just a quick few minutes drive to Global city or McKinley with the Venize Piazza. The parking garage is quite small, but fits 8-9 cars and lots of motorcycles. But it's quite tight and you need to move the car sometimes if anyone is going out. Not really a big issue and does not make the overall impression any lower. I would definately stay here again when I drop by Manila. "

Valero Grand Suites by Swiss-Belhotel
Makati,Manila - View on map
"To start with the minor inconveniences. The shower in our room seemed to be pulled of the wall and the knob for changing between main- and handshower seemed to be stuck. Also watertemperture, even when running longer, changed from hot to cold and vice-versa often. In the hallway and the room there was a funny smell. What we really liked about the hotel was the location in the CBD of Makati. Super convenient. We chose this hotel primarily because of its location, but were surprised about the luxury look it had. Room felt like a condo, it had an own kitchen complete with flatware and cutlery. Many thanks to the very accommodating security staff Erwin. When looking for a hotel in Manila again this sure will be it. "

JMM Grand Suites
Malate,Manila - View on map
"Was allocated a room in the 31st floor. Wonderful location because hotel is adjacent to Robinson’s Ermita Mall where wonderful restaurants and shops are. The streets within the perimeter of the hotel is dirty and busy with lots of pubs and bars around the area. Security is great as access is only permitted to cardholders or those booked within the hotel. The room is spacious, with everything you need in it to make your stay comfortable. It has a kitchennette, TV cable, fridge and ofher basic amenities such as toothbrush, slippers and soft couch. Bed is comfortable, bathroom is spacious, hot and cold shower is strong and good. One of the few budget hotels in manila and makati that has a microwave to heat your food! Floor is wooden tiles that makes the ambience of the room so cozy. Service by staff is great! Negative feedback is that the room is adjacent to the trash room of the 31st floor which stinks in a hot and hunid weather. Aircon is noisy which kept me awake all night! "

Privato Ortigas
Pasig,Manila - View on map
"First time to stay at the Privato Hotel in Manila. The Staff was 110% and really went the extra mile for us. It is located only a short walk from a major shopping area with a large family orientated park. Lots of armed security guards in the area. The food at the hotel is average at best. Would not eat there again. Only two elevators for 23 stories of rooms so this service is poor. There isn't any air conditioning in the elevator or in the hallways. The A/C units in our room worked great. There isn't a door on the shower, like many hotels in the Philippines, so the bathroom or comfort room floor is flooded when you take a shower. The water is never hot but at least it was warm."

"It's my first time trying Red Planet hotel, wasn't sure what to expect, but I am pleasantly surprised. Like all other reviewers mentioned, it's very clean. It has all the basic amenities that you need. The staffs were very helpful and they looked after your safety too, which is highly appreciated in Manila. Would definitely stay again in a Red Planet hotel in Manila."

"Although it is a classic downtown Manila location dirty and noisy it is really conveniently located by Robinson mall. Staff and facilities were fabulous. Clean helpful good beds and shower tv channels good breakfast and reasonable alternative food options in the bistro. Definitely going back. Stayed in all of the 5 star hotels in manila before and just wasted my Money Kimberley all the way for me."

Hilton Manila
Pasay,Manila - View on map
"I am not a 5 star kind of guy so take this with a grain of salt. I stay only when I get a deal and want something extra. After a 16 hour flight that was the case. The Hilton delivers with great facilities and exceptionally well trained and friendly staff. The location by the airport is good if that is your need and if you're into highend shopping and casinos they are right across the street. Howeve, 3 out of 3 taxi drivers couuld not find it with out stopping to ask once inside Newport City. My preferred location in Manila is still Makati as are my favorite 5* hotels. "

More about Manila

The capital of the Philippines, Manila is one of the busiest and most densely populated cities in South East Asia. The city is served by Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and travelers have a wide range of accommodations from which to choose with many options available near the airport, Pasay, and Manila Bay.

The commercial center of the city is Makati, where a wide array of restaurants and bars cater to practically any taste and offer everything from Chinese cuisine to American cheeseburgers. In the middle of the chaotic city are many parks to provide a respite to locals and travelers, with Rizal Park being the most iconic.

Another popular attraction in Manila is the 18th-century Fort Santiago in Intramuros, which was once a prison but has since been transformed into a park.

Commonly considered one of the better amusement parks in Manila, Enchanted Kingdom is perhaps the most popular destination for young adventurers. Separated into themed areas, the park features a great many rides, including one of the tallest rollercoasters in the world. With many exciting attractions, culture, and historic architecture, Manila is definitely a destination not to be missed.
