Best hotels & accommodations in Margaret River

We were very pleased when we entered the room as the rooms are well-designed. We booked the special access room as we have young kids and thought it would be better if we do not have stairs in the room. It was a wise decision. The bathroom was very spacious and there was a spa bath tub and a standing shower in the bathroom. The king size bed was enough to sleep 2 a...

This motel has all that a visitor could want and need at an affordable price. From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the fantastic well appointed motel room we stayed in this place is the best we have ever stayed at in Margaret River. The restaurant with its warm fire place is the spot to park yourself after a day of indulgence at the wineries, brew houses, ...

We arrived fairly late at 630pm, after visiting the vineyards in Margaret river. The reception was friendly and had upgraded us from a studio to a 2-bedroom. The rooms were very clean, spacious and very comfortable. Beds had electric blankets and we had very good sleep on them. The rooms are equipped with cooking pots and utensils, so you can cook here. However, you w...

Pullman Bunker Bay Resort is located on a stunning beach, tucked away in a natural bush land setting. Easy access to all the Dunsborough / Margaret River region has to offer. Restaurant really good, great breakfast and well appointed rooms. Looking forward to visiting again.

We're pleasantly surprised by the environment of the resort hotel. It's a real resort with beautiful garden, several indoor and outdoor pools, gym, tennis court etc. The room is nice and spacious and we also had a balcony. It's also next to the beach. It's about 7km to the CBD of Busselton but we don't mind at all since it's quiet and relax here and also closer to Marg...

If you are visiting around Margaret River region, I highly recommend this resort. I stayed in the 5-bedroom villa which faces the sea and has a heated private pool. The villa has two living rooms, one on each of the two floors. The second floor has a larger living room which my family utilised for the three nights' stay. There's plenty of bathrooms for my party of 7 ad...

Stay was excellence. Its less than 10mins drive to Bussleton City Center and famous Jetty. 40 mins to Margaret River, Augusta and Cape Naturaliste Lighthouses (Depending on traffic). The resort is fully equipped and huge space for our brother (who is on wheelchair) to move around easily. Most of all, this resort has the most friendliest staff we met. We had a late check...

Very easy to find and 50 metres away from the start of the main street in Margaret river. Some locations described as Margaret river are actually miles away from the town. Staff were very helpful and secure parking beyong access gates is free for resident guests. Our room was immaculately clean and the balcony which had a table and 2 chairs overlooked the pool. We retu...

The location is great and the rooms are lovely. Modern facilities. The service was less than impressive though. Lamont's has recently moved here as the resident restaurant. It's one of my favourite Margaret River treats, but the service at the Smith's Beach location was less than great. The apartments themselves are lovely but for the price they need basics such as sa...

We loved our stay at Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay, this place was even better than the reviews. The farm is a short 5 minute drive from town but feels like another world! We stayed in the studio and it was spacious, spotless and well equipped (including a welcome bottle of wine and the most delicious Orange Juice ever!). The Manager Lisa was extremely helpful w...

Stayed for 2 nights at Eight Willows when we were in Margaret River region. Central location for us to drive to Dunsborough and Margaret river wine valley within 30 mins. 15 mins to Margaret river town. Lots of fantastic place to eat there and beautiful coast line to visit. I had the 2 bedroom unit which was huge and very well kept. Plenty of space to cook dinner and ...

We were a 12-person family with young kids staying in 4 different rooms. The accommodation was everything we needed for our 4 night stay at Margaret River. The varying rooms suited each family's needs though our favourite was room 9 (2 bedroom suite) as it was spacious enough for everyone to hang out and had a full kitchen! Location was fantastic! Woolworths was jus...

It provides excellent accommodation in the centre of Margaret River, which has been thought out with the needs of visitors to the region in mind. It provides spacious accommodation, with sitting room and important little touches like umbrella and ironing board. It also provides the basic facilities to eat in when you are overcome by the visits to the local wineries ...

Spent three nights here in a two-bedroom apartment during a Thanksgiving Holiday visit to Australia with my wife and young adult daughters. The apartment was well furnished and had a great view of the ocean from the second floor balcony. The resort is within walking distance of the beach in Gnarabup, a mile from Prevelly Beach, and 15 minutes from Margaret River. We...

Nice little place to stay, a quite comfortable self-contained cottage you can use the cottage as a base and come and go as you please visit the Margaret River region, go and see the amazing caves and just immerse yourself in the wonderful sights and tastes that make up this amazing part of Western Australia.

Our stay was amazing. The villa we stayed in was fantastic and the rooms were spectacular. All having corner spas in them. The only downside was the resort spa that we went to first for a pamper package. I wouldn't recommend going to that spa at all. My friends were cut during manicures and pedicures and the workmanship was shonky. The manager/owner booked 5 girls in k...

Lovely resort conveniently located on the outskirts of the Margaret river area. Studio room as well as the resort were very well equipped, suitable for both individuals and families. The room facillities include microwave, toaster, kettle, small fridge and also comes with spa bath. I can't comment on restaurant food quality as we didn't eat there.

Excellent - we just would have wanted a plate and some minimal cutlery. I.e. as its in Margaret river we went on wine tours & purchased some cheese - however there wasn't any cutlery in room - but staff were happy to provide on request. Just feel this should be include (1 or 2 plates and minimal cutlery). There is a neighboring restaurant connected to another hote...

this place is just beautiful. perfect location to just getaway. you could spend the whole time not leaving the estate but it is in a great location if you do want to explore the beautiful margaret river wine region. staff service was like no other we've encountered in our travels. it was like staying at somebody's home for hospitality and friendliness yet all the priva...

Forest Rise Eco Retreat is a great place to go for a short retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We got a clean, spacious chalet with all the amenities available such as cooker stove, pots, pans, microwave oven, etc. It is also located near the Margaret River Wine Region, which we visited. We had a great time and will be back for sure.

Situated off the main Margaret River area was this delightful retreat. Spacious room with comfy bed, large ensuite. Lovely garden views. Restaurant overlooking the lake served amazing food locally grown... some at the back of the property. Staff very obliging. Soft drinks provided by the pool (self-serve!)One of the highlights was afternoon tea and home made cake serv...

Dirk and Pam are wonderful and welcoming hosts who have created a lovely place to rest and relax while exploring the Margaret River area. They are more than happy to suggest insightful itineraries and offer advice and equally happy to just leave you in peace and let you get on with it. The breakfast is simple but extensive and extremely well done. The kids loved hav...

We arrived not sure of what to expect from a bushland retreat but we need not have been concerned! Our cottage number 6 excelled our expectations and was self contained with great facilities, even a gas fired bbq on the porch. The open plan sitting / kitchen / diner was spacious and there was a welcome package of Margaret river wine, cereals, milk, orange juice and bre...

This is one of our favourite places to stay in the beautiful Margaret River Wine area. It is a short walk to dozens of food and craft shops, and the centre of the picturesque forests of South Western Australia. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it is great value for money.

We revisited Caves House after 28 years and were charmed back then. But now it has undergone an enormous renovation which is sympathetic to its heritage listing. There are fewer rooms now and I think we had the best room (Room 1 - keep it a secret) - it had a lounge, bedroom with King Size bed and an amazing ensuite with a spa bath which overlooked the magnificent gard...

We were meant to be staying in Margaret River but slight change to Busselton. The room suited my family- 3 adults and a child, nice and clean, huge bath, comfy beds and room to move around. Location perfect for us- close drive to jetty, lighthouse and caves. Easy access to all types of food. Staff very lovely and friendly. Will be staying again.

We loved the isolated location, views of the sea, wildlife in the garden, proximity to all the best places of the Margaret River region. Comfortable fully self-contained apartments with good facilities. Perfect for couples, but really good for families.

That is one of the best "hostel" we've stayed for a family of 3. The toilets & bathrooms were super clean. The communal kitchen has all the utensils, fridge, oven and we even asked for a little cooking oil for cooking our dinner and breakfast. We also relaxed at the TV room too. The people running this property were very warm, helpful & friendly. Bedding was very comfo...

We stayed at the Dunsborough Beachhouse Backpackers only for one night so it probably isn't fair to draw too far-reaching conclusions about the place but we had no complaints. In fact, we had a great time at the communal area mixing it up with the other guests so as far as the athmosphere was concerned it was great. Certainly not a place for a family with young kids ...

We had a fantastic time at Riverview Tourist Park Cabins. We had 2 couple cabin by river which we shared with my son and his girlfriend. Barbecue facilities were just beside us and were cleaned immaculately by staff daily. We also hired canoes on river. One of the quaint things on this site is how tame the ducks and parrots are and how peaceful and relaxing the who...

Best Value Accommodation from value for money, location, cleanliness, staff and facilities. Room was clean, neat and tidy. Management went out of way to accommodate Triathlete special requests during Ironman WA. Laundry facilities available for cleaning clothing. Spacious grounds with well maintained Swimming pool perfect for recovery.

Fancy in all the right places! Has to be one of the best places I've stayed. The staff are excellent with a genuine sense of hospitality. While we didn't use the full communal kitchen and dining area it would be great to meeting other guest as well as visit with a large group. The rooms are spacious, simple but modern. What I loved most is everything smelt clean and fr...

Easy check-in and check-out. Good location as Red Rooster is just next door. Rooms are always cleaned. Right in front of highway yet by 6pm, highway is not busy. Very accessible to Dunsborough and Margaret River, and the iconic Busselton Jetty is less than 10 minutes away

A charming property in the heart of Busselton. The rooms were quaintly decorated in nautical themes and the bathroom seems newly renovated. The motel is just five minutes drive to Busselton jetty and restaurants. You may also choose to walk to those places. Last but not least, the owner is very friendly and provided us useful information on getting around and where to...

This is a nice older style hotel with stunning views overlooking the river and down to the ocean. It is centrally located on the main street through town and it is a short walk to the IGA across the road, up the street to the newsagent and bakery. From the back you can go down across the expanse of lawn to the walk along next the river and watch the pelicans and othe...

Was close to everything and reasonable price compared to other accommodation in Margaret river region. Stayed at the stern for 2nights. Amazing place, clean house with full kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and well kept. Toilet was huge, luxurious feeling. Do not be deceive by the pictures on Agoda, this I place is definitely much nicer than on the picture. ...

This place was a bit hard to find as it was the 2nd floor of the restaurant. You have to check in through the restaurant and get the key from them. It's located in the town of Margaret River so you can easily go somewhere. Especially, I loved the spa bathroom! So relaxing !

Hi everyone and your lovely cat, "You"? Haha She was absolutely lovely and she came to visit us in our Merlot room which was great because we love cats! We had a wonderful stay and we felt spoilt having the shared lounge area and kitchenette so we could make a cup of tea. Our room was lovely and cosy which was great with the cold weather! Everyone was so welcoming and...

We loved our 3 night stay here, staff were awesome to deal with and very friendly, my 8 year old daughter loved the playground and we all loved the location, nice and close to the centre of Busselton and the waterfront. The rooms are clean and well maintained, we really had a great time and couldn't fault the place - thanks, we'll be back :)

It was just an over night trip to Margaret River region and we stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We will definitely stay here again. We actually had the front Villa (3) that faced the road & next to the reception area, it was quiet (apart from the local magpies warbling in the a.m) the bed was large and comfy , plenty of extra pillows, the shower nice and ho...

We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of owners Serge and Sally, who went our of their way to make you feel at home, whilst also giving you your own space to do as you like. The rooms were lovely and spacious and we enjoyed spending time in them whilst being tucked centrally in such a good location, easy to venture out throughout the day. I love the touches like fresh ...

We stayed here during school holidays as a base for exploring around the Margaret River area. It is a campground (caravan park) type of arrangement with several chalets of various sizes. We had four people in a two bedroom chalet and it worked out well. The units are clean and well maintained.

The Dunsborough Motel was exactly what we wanted. It was affordable accomodation and located at the start of the Margaret River region in the heart of Dunsborough. The room was clean and spacious. We had a dining table and microwave and fridge in our room. It was nothing fancy but we were surprised at some negative reviews. For the rate per night it was top notch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hidden valley is tucked away and secluded. We had privacy and comfort yet we were still not too far from dunsborough, margaret river and other surrounding towns. We would highly recommend a visit to hidden valley!

hidden away from the bustle of the margaret river main drag this was a perfect respite for a weary couple and a baby - silence only broken by the kookaburras, watching the possums eating the carrot we left out, spying wild kangaroos on drive way - paradise!

We had a great one night stay- was more like staying over at a friends villa than a hotel room. We stayed in the Shiraz room - had its own spa outdoor patio which was enclosed with a gate for pool access. Perhaps not the best for privacy as you could hear the guests in their patios. Everything in Yallingup mostly closes up after 5pm but this place offered a great littl...

We were a family of 5 adults and totally loved this very clean, easy to access and well equipped apartment. It's a mere 8-10 min walk to Margaret River city centre and it's a great place to be based to explore the region. There are great wineries within a short drive away. I liked that everything worked and went well, hassle and problem free place and stay. Very pleasa...

A lovely break in a beautiful place. It is situated in the perfect location to explore Margaret River and staff are really helpful in directing you to the best spots. A really cosy and comfortable chalet with great views. Couldn't have been better!

We booked one of the nicer rooms at the back with the view of the forest, and it was beautiful. Woke up to the scenic beauty of the karri trees, my friends went out for a walk in the early morning and enjoyed themselves, and the room was in such close vicinity to the main town. It was on the same road, in fact! Breakfast was meh. I liked that they had local produce lik...

This place was relaxing and decadent with stunning views, a great spa that overlooked the hills where you could see the sunrise, in a studio that attracted natural sunlight all day long. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottages. We were in town for a wedding, and stayed three nights in Possum cottage. Stayed in this cosy B&B for 2 nights. The room was fantastic: nice and clean with a big comfortable bed and the door even opens up to a nice little front porch facing a lawn. We just had a fantastic time staying at Adamson's the room and bathroom were very spacious and we had a nice little outside sitting area in front of our room, but still pretty private. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Losari Retreat, in a Botanica Spa Villa this July, with our 3 month old daughter. Nothing to fault!!! We enjoyed everything from the moment we arrived. Walked straight in with the gas fireplace already going & straight to the fully stocked wine fridge. Traveler impressions of Margaret River
Great place to visit, especially for nature lover. We had a great drive in the countryside. Really enjoy walking in the forest parks.
Rent a car so you can take a leisurely drive along the coastline. The beaches are beautiful, uncrowded, and unspoiled.
I love the Betteney's Margaret River Nougat Company. The nougat and nougat liquor drinks are really nice and awesome.
Go to the wineries which provide amazing view. Don't forget to try the lavender ice cream which is very unique
Our highlights were 1. The Leeuwin Lighthouse tour in Augusta 2. The Gloucester Tree climb and others nearby.
Lots of nice wineries there. Choose one or two most famous wineries to visit and taste a variety of wine.
It's more advisable to stay nearer to the wineries. Advisable for those who are interested to go winery visiting.
Margaret River is one of the best places in Australia. There are lots to do even if you are not interested in wine.
Beaches are beautiful and pristine, fishing is fantastic, caves are definitely worth checking out and eco resorts provide truly unique accommodation and experiences
Nice place to relax and enjoy the many wineries and animal farms are a great attraction to children who will have chance to interact with the many animals close up.
visiting some of the local shops for great gifts is a must. consider driving to visit hamelin bay and cape leeuwin lighthouse.
This place is fantastic for family fun and very relaxing. The whole stay at Margaret river is enjoyable!
Margaret River has many nice places for sightseeing, including the wineries, breweries and factories.
Margaret River Wine Region is the place to go when you are in Western Australia. Fall in love with the wineries, breweries, factories within the area.
Great food, and great wine. Mid level spending (so not dirt cheap but still relatively cheap). Be prepared to go on the walks and tours - they are spectacular.
A great place to relax and enjoy the simple life outside the city. Very friendly people. Good food and wine, of course.
They have really biult up a region with interesting winerys and brewerys. Each one has it's own character.
Redgate beach is one of the best around and a visit to the wineries particulary the Watershed winery.
Many classy wineries and restaurants, although the wines are on the expensive side. The attractions are spread over a wide area, so there is quite a lot of driving required to see it all.
Nice region to visit for the food and wine experience. Food in the wineries are not exactly cheap but is a must-try experience!
We stay in the animals farm during our visit in Margaret river. We get to feed all types of animals. We even witness the birth of a piglet.
it is a place suitable to sight seeing esp if wine lover, one should try their wine :) superb place for wine tasting .
The Margaret River region is very picturesque, with beautiful beaches and fantastic breweries and wineries.
The best wineries that we went to were: Leeuwin / Voyager / Vasse Felix and Fraser Gallop. Out of which, Fraser Gallop was a private boutique vineyard and we had lunch in the middle of the wine storage ie; next to the barrels.
This area actually is one large vineyard. i was amazed by the numerous vineyard that entertain tourist and have wine tasting activities.
Very picturesque. Whale watching in Augusta is a must. Cape to cape track is also an essential stop.
There's always lots do do in the region. Visit wineries, restaurants and boutique shops. The beaches are stunning and never crowded.
Margaret River is well known for its wineries, restaurants, caves, beaches and forests. These days you can add quite a number of breweries.
This region is very well know for its fabulous wines, freshly pressed flavoured olive oils and gourmet dining.
Make sure to leave enough time to visit both the wineries and the beach. Diving the HMAS SWAN is also an amazing experience.
