Where to stay in Marmaris
Marmaris hotels & accommodations

we like the hotel very much, which starting from friendly staffs including helpful reception and front desk until the kitchen crew members especially the chef(s). The food are fresh, very tasty and tailor made authentic Turkish cuisines. All in all we recommend and will come back to this hotel next time.

We had a really enjoyable stay here. Big family room. Very clean. Great service especially the breakfast and dinner. Staff went out of their way to cater for us (3 vegetarians). Only gripe is the wifi didnt work in our room so we had to use it in the restaurant.

After this holiday I'm in love with Marmaris and Icmeler itself where the hotel is located. Petunya is a perfect place to stay for a couple. Nice and quiet within a reasonable walking distance from town centre and beach (about 15-20 min walk). There is a bus going every 15 min if someone prefers. The room was pretty and clean and the staff really nice. One minus some o...

The hotel was very close to everything, shopping, beach, supermarked etc.We love the staff who is alwAys so helpful & positive, especially Ibrahim. The pool was clean and it was good to relax.I would recommend this hotel more to couple than family with kids. Would definitly stay here again:)

A room with so much charm, and comfort, in the old part of town. Easy walk to many restaurants and the castle museum. Bit difficult to find, even with Google Maps, and no vehicle access but car parking is only 150m away. Owner, Ali, was most helpful, especially when we left our passports, and he couriered them to our next destination.

Location is great. Minibus from Marmaris drops at İçmeler just around the corner of the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean and spacious enough with a balcony to chill out . Breakfast is big with toast, butter, honey, jam, various local cheese, olives, tomato, cucumber, seasonal fruits...... Beach is one blok away and entrance is free of charge as we...

I arrived at the hotel and learned that the hotel did not have my reservation?????? I asked the hotel manager to contact Agoda customer service. he did and told me that the service had machine one and that he could not contact anyone. I was told to wait....I short, Agoda re-booked me to a different hotel. I wasted a several hours waiting and being nervous about the pos...

Large room. No air con in bedroom though, only family room. At least a 15 minute walk to beach/ nightlife/ restaurants. Pool area very crowded. Ok hotel if you enjoy the all inclusive type deal, however we stayed on night then left to stay at a nicer place on the beach. Hotel much too far from centre of town Very basic breakfast

When we bought from agoda, it was stated that the only thing that was paid for the hotel was the safe. but when you go to the facility, everything from air conditioning to internet is paid. The manager's description is dahil everything you won't find in this price is included. “Well, you can find out better for the money they want. The older sisters were very good c...

My Dream hotel was just the opposite. Booked as not been to !armaris in over 18 years. Booked superior room and what I believed to be AI. However the manager told me I had booked basic room. I proved that I had paid for superior room the manager eventually sorted it out. Found the staff unapproachable uncles you were under 25 and wore a skirt. The WiFi didn’t work prop...

The city's historical significance is evident in its ancient ruins and landmarks, such as the impressive Marmaris Castle, which dates back to the 16th century. This castle not only provides a glimpse into the past but also offers panoramic views of the harbor and the surrounding landscape. As you stroll through the old town, the vibrant atmosphere is palpable, with local markets, artisans, and the sounds of traditional Turkish music filling the air. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, Marmaris promises an unforgettable experience.

When to Experience the Magic of Marmaris
The best time to visit Marmaris largely depends on your preferences for weather and activities. The peak tourist season runs from June to September, when the sun shines brightly, and temperatures soar to the mid-30s Celsius (mid-90s Fahrenheit). This is the ideal time for beach lovers and those looking to enjoy water sports, as the sea is warm and inviting. However, it can get crowded, so booking accommodations in advance is recommended.
If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting in the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and fall (October to November). During these months, the weather is still pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius (68 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit), making it perfect for exploring the area's natural attractions and historical sites without the hustle and bustle of peak season. Additionally, local events and festivals during these times can enhance your travel experience, offering a deeper insight into the culture of Marmaris.
Essential Travel Tips for an Amazing Marmaris Adventure
When visiting Marmaris, understanding local customs and etiquette can greatly enhance your experience. Turkish culture is known for its hospitality, and a friendly greeting can go a long way. Additionally, dressing modestly when visiting religious sites is a sign of respect.
Another important tip is to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun, especially during the summer months. Carrying a reusable water bottle is a great way to ensure you remain refreshed throughout your adventures. Familiarizing yourself with local transport options, such as dolmuş (shared minibuses) and taxis, can also help you navigate the city more easily.
