Idea Hotel Milano Malpensa Airport
Malpensa Airport,Milan - View on map
"Free shuttle included and breakfast which opens at 5am..In room safe and refrigerator. Cons: There was no information in the reservation about the shuttle pick up at the airport. Was unable to contact the hotel in spite of an online telephone number and had to have local Italians at the airport contact them for me. The way the Milan airport is set up, it was very confusing to figure out where this pick up was. Exits are marked on the sides and outside with different numbers from the inside. Even a local gave me wrong directions. Airport information services claimed to know nothing about hotel shuttle pick up areas, and I speak Italian, LOL! "

"When we arrived the staff were very nice. We then went to our “rooms” and it was fairly comfortable and clean however the bathroom had a pair of underpants left on the floor all day all the way until the next day. We only stayed one night, and when we checked out my friend accidentally left her kindle in the locker. We realised the kindle was left at the hotel when we reached the airport we tried to contact them and didn’t hear back till the next day in which they told us there was no Kindle. If the room was cleaned after we checked out the kindle should have been found by a staff member but the fact that it has now permanently gone missing obviously we are not happy about that. "

"We book this hotel because it has good value for money and is situated 10km away from Milan central. We arrived late for check in but there were still a long queue. The receptionist did a good job to check us in within 5 minutes. Our room was clean, bright and adequately spaced out. The breakfast was great with good variety of bread, cereal and fruits..and the coffee was good too!. There is a wifi charge but otherwise, excellent value for a 1 night stay."

More about Milan

Milan is often referred to as Italy’s second city, famous for its catwalks, unparalleled shopping, and trend-setting entertainment. The city has its fair share of historic cathedrals and museums, but Milan is always on the short-list of those on the cutting edge of the fashion industry.

The Duomo, a gothic cathedral that took centuries to build, looms over a few of the most luxurious hotels in Milan. This is the world's fourth-biggest church, and it deserves all of the attention it demands. Construction on the Duomo began in the 14th century in what is now the Centro Storico, or historic center.

The Milan shopping scene is north of the Duomo. Four major commercial avenues converge on what many would say is the world's best shopping district. Chic designer flagship stores and boutiques are widespread, and fashion exhibitions are staged on local catwalks throughout the year.

Like much of Italy, Milan is a city rich in world-class art such as the Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci.

Hotels in Milan fill quickly most times of the year, so booking early is essential.

Milan Malpensa Airport is the major international gateway in Milan, but the city also operates the regional hub, Linate Airport. A popular alternative for those traveling through Europe is to take the high-speed train to Stazione Centrale, north of the city center.
