"The budget motel is where I stayed and for $125.00 it didn't even have a microwave oven and light breakfast. Air Conditioner was too loud and so was the air vent in the bathroom which is on the same switch as the light so I didn't use either. Too close to the RSL Club, you could even hear the announcements and see some of the poker machines. The luxury motel is 4 star, the budget motel is only two stars. Went through a bit of trouble to find the Reception as it is right near the luxury motel. I stayed at a Motel down the road which was better. I wouldn't recommend the budget motel as there are better places to stay in Mittagong. I strongly advise travellers to check the room first. The Motel I stayed at for my second night was $129, light breakfast included, microwave oven, electric blankets, chairs to sit on outside the room. For just $4 more it was worth it. The hairdryer was like one you would find in a hairdressing salon. It was a home away from home."

"We really enjoyed the Fitzroy Inn. Our room was fantastic. It was very clean, nicely decorated, private and comfortable. The gardens around the inn are beautiful and perfectly kept. Perhaps the highlight was dinner at the restaurant on site - the food was fantastic with a good quality, affordable wine list. Apparently it was the new chef's first night on the job, he certainly hit the ground running!"
