The room is a little old, but the room is large and comfortable and room is clean.The breakfast is good and many choices, of course most of it is Myanmar style food, not much western food, but I will say the breakfast is taste good. About the staff, they are not well in English, but they are helpful, friendly and polite, they provide a welcome juice and let us early check-in and no any charge. The hotel is in main road, but not noisy, it is very easy to walk to the downtown and the famous sightseeing. many tourist guide say Moe cherry restaurant is the best one in Mrauk-U,i will say is not true.I highly recommended this hotel restaurant; it is the best restaurant in here. I have lunch and dinner in hotel restaurant for 3days, try over 10 difference Chinese style dishes, and all is tasty. Also the fruit juice is tasty. I highly recommended Shwe Thazin Hotel restaurant. The restaurant has aircon and clean, food is tasty, the price is cheap. They open at 12:00 to14:00 /18:00-21:00.

pros: cheapest hotel in Mrauk U (using online platforms), booked an 8bed dorm but they put me on a 2bed dorm, huge room and T&B plus with a veranda/balcony, rented a bike for more than 6hrs but they charged me for only half a day, free bottled water upon check-in, plenty of breakfast (2 crepes or pancakes in their terms,1 toast, 1 banana and Burmese coffee) in their garden, a bed net is provided against mosquitoes which is very rampant in Mrauk U cons: fixtures need some updating, location is just by the hi-way so you could here the buses etc passing by (though this doesn't hinder me from having a good sleep)

Given the bad location, and even worse, the fact that the boat transfer from Sittwe is not included in a room rate of more than USD 300 when booked via Agoda (they try to charge us another USD 300 per pax), this hotel turned out to be one the most obvious rip-offs we have ever experienced (and we are traveling a lot). On the upside, the staff is really attentive and endeavored.

This place is awesome. Located slightly out of town but still close to everything as Mrauk u is relatively small in size. The main front desk man named Nyi Nyi spoke great English, was super nice, and also worked as a tour guide and was more than helpful answering any questions we had about the temples or Mrauk u itself. When I came down with a sickness, he went out of the way going to the market for me to pick me up medication to help, all without asking or anything. This man deserves a medal.
