"If you drive, there's a parking lot but it's written in japanese language only so it's quite hard to find the hotel car park. However, after parking there is a shuttle bus pick you up and you can directly get off at the hotel (you dont have to get on a shuttle boat) I have try onsen their located in a cave near a sea. Sound of wave with warm onsen water in a cold weather...nothting better...One place you should visit in a lifetime. About construction there, not so noisy just a mess around walk path to onsen."

"Less than a 10 minute walk from Kii-Katsuura station, this hotel was a very good deal. I particularly enjoyed arriving in my room for the first time to find it had a great view of the nearby beach, and was close enough to enjoy the sounds of the waves breaking on shore, which is something I find particularly soothing. Note that light sleepers not accustomed to those sounds may find it difficult to sleep under those conditions, so bear that in mind. The room was big, came with a convenient toilet and small sink, the shared bathing facilities clean, and thankfully the onsen on the 2nd floor was at a temperature I could deal with. There was also an open air one accessible through a side door. I did not eat at the hotel, so cannot comment on the food. Note that most of the restaurants in the area are a bit of a walk."

"I stayed here after hiking a portion of the Kumano Kodo. It's next to the train station, which can take you back to Osaka. It's also near bus lines which go to Nachi and Shingu. The facility had the feel of staying in someone's house. There is an onsen on-site. I don't recall of there was a common room. The staff were helpful in giving me ideas on how to spend a lazy day in town. I only wish there was free luggage storage after you check out. "
