"We have just stayed more than a week in Hotel Benaco in Torbole at Garda Lake. The hotel itself was great located. Our double room with a lake view across several building roofs was quiet despite the life on the streets but was a bit too small with a tiny little bathroom where even the toilet could not fit. No existing or really poor air ventilation and the size of the bathroom made taking the shower a really hot and humid experience. I also did not like the restaurant layout. It felt like a canteen with no privacy at all so each time having the breakfast we had hard times to choose the right table to fit our needs. Parking lot at the hotel is small and cannot satisfy guest needs but the hotel offers parking on a fenced private place several-minute-walk from the hotel. "

"We had a great experience both with the hotel and the Torbole area in general. The room we stayed in was in the annex, not in the main building and was well appointed, clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing and the family who run the hotel are very nice. Location is good, very close to downtown Torbole, but far enough that you don't get the noise from cars and people partying. The best part of the stay was meeting Luca. He's a great guy to answer questions about outdoor activities in the area. Keep smiling brother!"

"we stayed for 4 nights while exploring the stunning local via ferrata and hiking routes. this hotel is in a superb location close to the lake and breakfast in the restaurant included a fantastic view of the lake. it doesn't have quite as friendly atmosphere as the family run hotel we stayed at in melcesine beforehand, but it is clean and very pleasing. our relax room was spacious and comfortable, with kettle and drinks provided, although i was woken a few times by sounds of water pipes or light-switches travelling through the building from other rooms, which was a surprise as there is a sense of space and solidity in the traditional, refurbished building. a few bits were tired - such as a non-working bathroom light and tired bathroom tiles. we were also really disappointed not to be able to use the outdoor hot-tub located on a terrace - apparently reserved for other rooms (missed these as an option when booking), but unused for the 4 nights we were there. there was also no information supplied at all about the wellness centre - not sure where that was! also, outdoor activities were advertised, such as cycle rides, but you needed to hire a bike from elsewhere, and it didn't seem as eventful as advertised (perhaps a low season thing). the restaurant serves good food at prices equivalent to local restaurants, but with a smart, contemporary ambience and friendly staff. overall it was good value and a lovely time was had by us on our late sept holiday."
