Find Hotels in Nairobi, Kenya

My partner and I stayed in one of the studio rooms for two nights. The location is great for visiting the Nairobi National Park, and close to the rest of town by car *if* you aren't traveling during rush hour. Serah and Ronny and the rest of their family are fantastic hosts - they helped arranged a driver to take us around town for a day, were always available for assistance and advice about what to do around Nairobi, and they provided delicious food and excellent conversation. I highly recommend this facility for a Nairobi homestay experience.

We really like Wildebeest Eco Camp as it felt like a retreat from the busy vibe of Nairobi. We stayed at the Camp in a Cottage Suite upon arrival in Nairobi from Vancouver. Long flights and needed a place to recoup from Jetlag before we left on safari. This was a great place to do just that. Food was nice. However I'd recommend sticking to the traditional fare vs any western versions of dishes. Staff was super nice and the property was calm and peaceful. Lots of birds.

I was really delighted. Last time (I travel to Nairobi quite often for business) the hotel was not nice. Please let me disregard the name of the other place. And Sirona was a nice change. Good value for money (work for an NGO and always travel on a small budget; the less we spend on ourselves the more we can contribute to our beneficiaries, and they really need such contributions, work in Somalia). Helpful staff. Friendly. Modest but good food (breakfast) included. I have actually recommended the Sirona Hotel to become our designated hotel for our personnel who transits through Kenya. In one sentence? Good value for money. Cheers! Guys I had to choose an option, the question was: What would you recommend the city of Nairobi for? There was no option I would like to recommend so let me add it here - city crime!

LOVED the friendly staff, sumptuous breakfasts and spacious rooms. Wi-fi was available, albeit excruciatingly slow. I stayed in 3 different rooms in 3 weeks, and all were large but one was filled with clunky furniture, had no hangers and a TV that did not work. Hotel is in the auto mechanic part of town so as a solo female, I opted to hire a moto guy to take me to Nakumatt for shopping instead of walking. (The staff also recommended this). Staff booked the moto and taxis for me, kept my bags safe when I was away for a week, and had breakfast ready in a bag when I had early departures. All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay at the Eron, and will definitely stay there again when I return to Nairobi in the future.

at eron we got great value for my money. The staff where so kindnot forgetting the manager Franco Wandabwa who was so willing to compromise anything for the comfort of th client. The girls at the recieption, and all th security when extremely helpful. He hotel is a very budget friendly place and the meals are great. We felt at him and would definitely go back.its in the middle of tow which is said not to be a very safe place but it has tight security so at the hotel, you would worry about nothing although being in the center would mean that moving at night oil don't be so safe for family with children. Although the kind manager Franco would warn you about these facts. Also the location was convenient for us to access any place in to. By foot or by matatu. We would easily walk back to our hotel.it sure is a place to be , plus e hot water and fast wifi.i just can't thank the staff enough . Asante and I will sure return

They allowed me to sleep (as I arrived at 5:30am) before checking in. The facility is so quiet I dozed off as soon as I’ve reached the bed. You can hear the birds chirp and the sound of your breathing lol. It is that quiet. Big area for walking and just breathing nature in. They offer full board including tea time so you don’t have to go outside. It is located in Karen, my taxi driver told me it is the most exclusive area in Nairobi where rich people live. Very near the giraffe center and the elephant Orphanage. I loved my stay there as a solo traveler.

I have been very happy to find a B&B so nice and with an extremely friendly staff. I lived in kenya for many years in the past and traveled to Nairobi many times and this time i decided to look for a mid range guest house that made me feel like like i was in my former house. I chose this place online just by chance, and i have to say i was surprised, as the villa really reminds me the house i had been living in the past years. Great garden, quiet rooms with clean (and in decent shapes) bathrooms, warm and available staff (including the night watchman) and free access to the kitchen at anytime. I will definitely go back there again and i take the opportunity to thank James, Sos and Ruto for their amazing welcome kind support and friendship.

On very fist day they given the second floor room room is ok but there is no water for washroom.. after several request to front desk, they gave a room in first floor and it was good.. breakfast is good... issue on this hotel is its location and its very hard to approach by taxi even for local drivers.. you need to give proper instruction with google map to driver otherwise you will round around the hotel zone( one-way roads)

This is a budget hostel and you really get what you pay for. The double room was small with limited room for two people and their luggage but, luckily, we were travelling light! It was basic but the room was cleaned everyday to a good standard. The top covers of the beds were stained - they may have been clean but the stains were a little off putting. Along the open corridor, there were two sofas and a table. This became our 'office' as were were a group of 4 travelling together and needed a space to meet and work. There was a wifi connection to each room, which was largely reliable. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was included and was okay. We asked to change rooms as the bed was so uncomfortable. This was done. Our new room had a more comfortable bed but no toilet seat. Overall, the rooms are a little run down but could be fixed up cheaply.

While the location is very out of the way of the action, our stay at Upperhill was fabulous. We experienced excellent service from the start, with the check in process very quick. After spending 7 weeks in Africa experiencing dodgy internet, we were relived to find the wifi free and fast. Beers in the bar were cheap, and we got some free crisps with the beer. We had just stayed at the Hilton the previous night for twice the price, and the Upperhill was far superior in its service, value for money and quality of the room, which was modern. We had a very early flight to catch in the morning, and the staff had organised a cab, and came up to knock on the door as a wake up call, without being asked. All in all, highly recommend if you're after somewhere that's inexpensive and a little quieter than central Nairobi.

I have been to Nairobi many times for the embassy but I wish I would have found this place before. So close to the US embassy and so close to village market. We walked there a couple times in our stay and only took us 15 minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly and so helpful. We ran into a problem right away with our money and they helped so quickly. Thank you! And I will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

There is no lights in hallway to rooms. the shows did not work in two rooms. broken windows and can not close the windows. I was there for 2 nights but will say staff was very friendly and helpful just shame about the hotel it self needs a good overhaul and clean up from the owners side. It was very hard to find at time I landed 23.00 time I tried to find it was 00.30 I got there but only 3k from airport when booking they need to send maps with booking. I did try to phone from UK several times but no one was there to take calls I was disappointed with this hotel very much

We arrived at 11 pm and were welcomed and taken to our room at once. Neede to let our tour group in the different hotel know that we arrived - no problem, needed to have breakfast at 5:45am - no problem - in fact, nothing was. Feeling at home so far away from home was great - our big thanks to the duty manager and all the people at the hotel that were so kind to us.

the Hotel is newly built (2011) and although very basic it has everything you could want - the cleanliness was exceptional and at only $41 dollars a night they still insisted on changing the bedsheets and scrubbing the bathrom everyday. Staff are all very friendly and was pleased to have a white man staying there, i was told they dont get that many and i was just the 3rd to have stayed there. It was nice to get away from the corporate hotel scenario for a few days and go local.

I wish to comment on this Hotel only for one and only reason that another traveller should be aware of this. Easily you could book a good room in many hotels in Nairobi City for around USD 50 but I did this booking since it's very convenient for me all these time. I have booked many rooms before and this is the first time I got caught to a trap like this with this La Jardine Hotel in Nairobi. Very small room with a commod and one Wash Basin. No A/C & No remote control for your TV. All those were OK since I was there only for one night till I get my flight next day morning but can you believe there is No Water or No Toilet Paper in your room !! I did not wait for any b/fast hurried to another hotel to get myself ready for the flight.

It didn't get off to a good start when they had no idea of my booking and I didn't want to wander around Nairobi looking for another hotel, so I had to spend the rest of my cash on the room and then a few months trying to reclaim the money I'd already spent on the booking. The hotel itself was nice though and typically overpriced as most hotels in that part of the world seem to be.
