Best hotels & accommodations in New Orleans (LA)

I really love Monteleone, it's beautiful, in the heart of it all. The staff is wonderful, I wish I could take them home. They have a variety of employees of all ages, and each one of them gives you such a nice impression. You feel at home staying here. If you're tired of being out and about in New Orleans, and you'd like to be close to your room and listen to some good...

Visited Hyatt Regency for my stay in New Orleans for my birthday. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are nice and the location of the hotel is near the major attractions in the French Quarter. The morning of my check out, there was a fire alarm and everyone had to evacuate the hotel. By the time we got downstairs, everything was figured out and we were able to go rig...

This hotel was the ultimate new Orleans experience . Quiet, traditional and with a keen desire to make sure your experience was perfect. Oysters one block from the madness of bourbon street and within walking distance of everything you might want to see and do in the french quarter. Would loved to have had a hot tub near the rooftop pool but that would be the only impr...

Hotel was fantastic. The only small complaint would be for room service. Vary fast service, but forgot little things like ice, cup, and straw for a bottled coke that was delivered. Other than that small critique, this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in New Orleans.

The hotel is absolutely wonderful- one of my favorites in New Orleans. However, it is quite obviously a very old building and maintains that feel. Thus, if you are looking for a pristine modern hotel, this is likely not the place you want to stay.

I arrived at hotel to check in 6 hours before check in and shared with front desk that I have some health issues that needed attention. They weren’t able to get me in room immediately as hotel was fully booked on Sunday a.m. of Presidents’Day weekend. However, they did everything humanly possible to make me comfortable until there was a room available about two hours...

The hotel itself was amazing. It was clean, modern, and very nice. My only issue was with Agoda. I had booked a room with what was advertised as a balcony and it ended up a sun roof or something. Basically, it was a front porch but had absolutely no view (as advertised) and when I tried to ask the hotel staff, they advised that those rooms sell out a year in advance. I...

This is a great hotel for someone to visit NOLA for a couple of days. It is within an easy walking distance from the French Quarter, Riverfront, etc., but yet not too close to get bothered at night by revelers. The room on the 4th floor facing the Riverwalk Mall was quiet, comfortable and very clean (with the exception of the coffee mugs). I recommend this hotel, ...

Like a lot of hotels in New Orleans, the Westin is a bit beat up, but the location is fantastic. I have stayed at this hotel several times, and would stay there again. I paid $119 per night, which is more than the $89 or so you can usually get it off peak times.

My wife and I grew up in Mississippi and are very familiar with NO. When I walked into Le Marais, it seemed eerily familiar. After talking with the staff, I realized it used to be The Marie Antoinette Hotel. It was my mother's favorite spot (great location), and I stayed there many times myself, until it got too "tired". It was a pleasure to stay there, well-refurbishe...

You're right beside the french quarter, 5 -10 minutes from pretty much everywhere you'd want to go. I liked that they had a pool/patio area, even though we only used it once or twice. I'd stay there again, it was good value for the quality of the hotel.

A bad start at reception after a 24+ hour travel to start our vacation in New Orleans. Only one of the two rooms we had booked and that were confirmed was actually available. Disaster management from here on in. It took a lot of time, well over one hour before the hotel management approved the only correct action to be taken and they provided the additional room that p...

Location is ideal, close enough to everything but away from Canal and Quarter crowds. Restaurant Luke is one of the finest anywhere. The staff were young and friendly and the jazz group Saturday night in the lobby was a pleasant surprise. Room furnishings could be warmed up and the toilet seat in my room was literally falling off. $45 a night valet parking is outrag...

Just on the back side of Jackson Square, the Bourbon Orleans was very convenient to all the best spots in the French Quarter. Every staff member was kind and helpful at the Bourbon Orleans. The rooms were clean with luxurious beds. We will definitely return to the Orleans in the future.

Luv! Luv! Luv this place. We will be back in New Orleans in January and I already booked our room. When we come back in February I was sad to find out no vacancy for that night. When you walk in the first thing we thought was the room was small but it had really high ceilings. The ceiling made the room feel bigger than a normal hotel room. we actually prefer the room...

This hotel location was excellent. I got an amazing deal and we got an upgrade when we arrived which was amazing. The cleanliness for the calibre of hotel could have been better but nothing that was offensive. The staff were really friendly and the bayou bar and hot tin roof are excellent spots to try out. Overall I would stay again if I got a similar price point!

Hotel was in the perfect location - walking distance to everything. Canal street, bourbon street, all restaurants, waterfront, and all the popular restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Short walk to the trolley on Canal Street will take you to the Garden District and CBD. Room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating....

At the advice of my travel agent, Travel Escapes by Heller, I stayed at the Troubadour, a concept hotel by Hilton. I lean towards Hilton properties and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is in an excellent quiet location in the up and coming Business District, yet is an easy mile walk from the French Quarter. The hotel is remodeled and mod with lots of character. Staff ...

The location, welcome byvstaff and THE BEDs were amazing. Royal St is divine, canal st at the end of the road and Bourbon St 2 blocks away it was just great. The beds and pillows were amazing. I mean amazing... I would go back again and would even think about staying at Wyndams in other states/countries.

We were there for 4 days and did not expect that the hotel has a good location. Its near the centre but not really in the centre of Bourbon St, which is really a blessing since it could be noisy around that area. The location is just perfect since you just need to do some 5-10 min walk to the tourist spots. They are also in front of the park. Breakfast is good. Th...

The staff was so very friendly here. The trolley stop was close by and we enjoyed being out from the French Quarter and having the trolley experience as part of our trip. The hotel was clean and quaint. The breakfast was phenomenal! Our room was a little small but it had a second vanity which was very convenient for our family of four. The free gated parking area was...

The room was massive and gorgeous with its own private balcony that overlooked the skyline, and had very clean, comfortable bedding. There were multiple televisions in the room, and the staff was, for the most part, with the only exception being the man that I originally checked in with, very friendly and helpful. There was even a woman working valet that showed us to...

First of all, the location of this hotel is very good if you do not want to stay in the noisy French quarters. It's only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the centre of action in the French quarters. We were initially given a room without any windows but the reception changed it happily when I went back down to ask nicely for a room with windows. So, make sure when you book you...

I had a fantastic stay at Site 61. It was very conveniently located. Although it's not right downtown or in the French Quarters, it's easy to get around via bus or street car, which is just a few minutes walk from the place. The place is very well maintained and cleaned (plus points that the owner is a fan of Firefly). Be advised though that you have to bring your own ...

I spent a night here, and I loved the place! The staffs were so friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was good for each guest. They serve breakfast ( complimentary) and offer a variety of activities inside the house. At the night I was staying, free jambalaya dinner was prepared for us. It was a very enjoyable night. I’d totally recommend this place for anyon...

My stay in this motel is satisfactory. They need to provide toothaste though. The room that I stayed in was very huge and clean. A small fridge and microwave are provided in the room. The staff were approachable and very helpful. Accessible by bus going to downtown New Orleans and vice versa. Affordable and meets the standard for motels. The place is gated which I think...

Check in - location is really great 2 house away from the public transportation, if you take the one going left it will take you to city center and cemeteries going right will take you to French quarter get off at bourbon st. The hostel are close to shopping mart, rite aid, family dollar, ideal store and for fast food there is mc Donald, burger king, Vietnamese restaur...

Wonderful stay! Really enjoyed our time at this delightful and comfortable bed and breakfast. We were welcomed by Brent who made us feel at home and cooked us two amazing breakfasts during our stay. Spoilt with a large room with its own little balcony. Facilities including use of a fridge, tea and coffee making as well as wine was a real bonus. The house is gorgeous an...

We loved that it was on an old military base. It is right next to the water. You could see the big ships just by looking across the field. It has lots of rich history. It’s just far enough away from downtown to get you out of the chaos. But just close enough for a 5 to 10 minute drive. We will definitely be staying here again if we travel to New Orleans.

Room was clean and comfy, although a bit cold, but easily remedied by turning off the A/C. Liked that it allows pets! Gym on 5th floor. Good - and free - breakfast with TV on. Staff was cheerful and assisted me more than once. Would stay there again next time I visit.

My husband and I were celebrating Valentine's Day together with a one night's stay at the Hyatt House. We were going to the Pelicans game on the night of Valentine's Day. The Hyatt House was perfectly located within walking distance from the Smoothie King Center and popular restaurants. The hotel was very clean as well as our room. We were upgraded to a King Studio, wh...

I needed a room where I could decompress after being on a cruise for a week, yet still be able to get out and enjoy a little more New Orleans before going back to reality. The Pelham was perfect! I was able to walk a short distance and be in the middle of everything and the room was a haven when I came back. Welcoming staff and facility. I'd stay again.

On arrival staff were friendly, check in was quick. Our room was fantastic, large, clean with plenty of toiletries. The hotel is lovely and the pool and gym were an added bonus. The breakfast was great, my only slight niggle is there wasn’t many healthy options. Hot drink station downstairs was a really nice touch, even the water was flavoured with fruit and cold every...

For the apparent age of the hotel, the rooms were surprisingly well maintained and clean. My only gripe is that the one and only elevator is ancient (takes a full 30 seconds to close doors and move after pressing button), and is situated such that both your parking spot and room (if on a different wing of the building) could be a very long walk away. A slight problem i...

Problems all over this building. This is a 10 story building with only one functioning elevator and no one in a hurry to fix it. Our room reservation was screwed up and my family ended up in separate rooms. The hotel has no parking of it's own, so it's an extra $30 per day to park in city parking behind the building (and you will need an app to do that). The location...

Room was not particularly clean, especially the bathroom. Door didn't lock properly. Our room also did not have any cold water, just hot and warm. Got charged $20 for some reason after checking out. Breakfast was pretty gross as well. It's a fairly good location, but I think you can find a much better place to stay for less or the same money in New Orleans.

I stayed there for 5 nights, partly business, partly leisure time. The hotel is located 2 walking minutes away from Bourbon Street, but still in a quiet area. The room was spacious and clean, room service was excellent. Breakfast was very good too, but (as so often) served on plastik and paper throwaway dishes. , but seems to be the standard in american hotels. Still,...

Being a Wyndham owner can't say anything bad about this location in New Orleans. Very nice recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable place to stay in the French Quarter area. Not far from Canal St. Not making this good statement because I am a Wyndham Owner if it is not up to par I speak on that also.

Very enjoyable, convenient to most tourist attractions, Bourbon street, restaurant, water front. People are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, bright and has good amenities. Have no issue to recommend to friends. Will stay there again when visiting New Orleans in the future.

4-star hotels in New Orleans (LA)

The Monteleone is a beautiful grand old hotel in the midst of the French Quarter. I understand that it's still owned and operated by the same family since its beginnings. It is immaculately kept and quite comfortable, in my opinion. Service was very good, and our river view room was beautifully appointed. I will say though by modern standards storage was a bit limi...

I booked 3 executive rooms with 2Queen-beds. However only one room was particular bigger than the other two rooms which we had no problem with but we paid for the same price. Would've thought we will get the same size rooms. Check in was smooth, they were able to accomodate our early check in and late check out. Complimentary welcome drinks was awesome, rooftop pool is...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. Our room was modern, clean and spacious; we felt very comfortable during our stay. The room did not have free wifi, but free wifi was available in the lobby. The hotel location was PERFECT: right across from the French Quarter, walking distance to all the restaurants and bars, also Bourbon Street was only a few blocks away. T...

We stayed at the CAMBRIA in Chicago last year and have always been on the lookout for other locations. Booking and checking in was a breeze, we noticed that the hotel has plenty of parking all around, along with friendly valet staff. We arrived prior to check-in time and were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and head out right away. The location of the hotel is...

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was well located in the French hotel. We parked our car up for the time we were there. the room was comfortable and funky in style with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Most things were in walking distance from he hotel. It was close to restaurants.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant downstairs is so so and over priced for breakfast lunch and dinner, but the bar has some of the best drinks we had in New Orleans and a GREAT oyster happy hour. My only complaint is that since it's in an old building we had only one very small window in our room. As a result...

I have traveled to New Orleans many times and have always been interested in staying at this establishment. I can truly say that it exceeded my expectations. From Steven at the front desk to the valets, we truly felt welcome. The view that we had also was excellent. I most definitely will be staying there again.

Yes, it is an older hotel. But it has been updated & very well maintained. We were very pleasantly surprised with the room. Bathroom is small, but functional. Staff was great. We were very surprised at some of the amenities, like a Chromecast on a very large tv, so we could stream anything from our phones. The TV home screen was personalized including name. Especially ...

There is only one receptionist at the counter doing everything, but she gave me warm welcome. The room is big and there is a small kitchen which has microwave, coffee making, and the best is washing machine. I stayed for 5 nights, so the washing machine is a need for me. There is the good wireless in my room. I took a shuttle bus from the airport and the hotel was easi...

this place is unique, a beautiful genuine new Orleans building, decorated to reflect the area, with each room individually themed. Nancy was extremely friendly and helpful, could not do enough to help, but not in your face. Breakfast was homemade and different each day, and probably the best we have had anywhere we have ever stayed. Walking distance to Frenchman street...

I had a business trip to New Orleans with a friend and we wanted to stay in an apt rather than hotel rooms. This apt fit our needs perfectly. It's a beautiful modern/warehouse rehab with loads of art on the walls. Two large bedrooms and a large living/dining area. The huge outside terrace with table & chairs looked wonderful but it rained the whole time so we didn...

Hotel was great. Love the free parking benefit with gambling. Bed comfortable. Room quiet. Access to casino easy. Feel room was pricey for a casino but worth the $$. So close to French Quarter & easy walking everywhere. We had a car but never used it. Had dinner buffet at casino which also was pricey but had lots of variety. Tasted fresh. Would stay here again!...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room we had was small but very adequate! It was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. One of the best aspects of this hotel was the staff. Without exception they were as friendly and helpful as they could be.
5-star hotels in New Orleans (LA)

Had such an amazing stay here. An absolute gem of a location on Frenchman Street. Rita is the best host in New Orleans, with easy, prompt communication and a wealth of knowledge about the French Quarters. The Jr Suite was large, clean and quiet. Would stay here again

Best hotel we went to during our trip across America. The room was extravagant, clean, large, the staff were so friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed choosing this hotel. The rooftop pool and was perfect, and so was the live music. So glad we stayed here and we would stay again in a heartbeat
Just booked
Traveler impressions of New Orleans (LA)
The streetcar system is great. You can visit all the major sights for $3/day. We even used it to/from the Amtrak station to our Canal St.
The city is a force field of positive energy! Loved the street performers, the vibe, the history, the architecture! I did notice that so many places were all about the drinks and most of the tourists are over 60! My husband and I would have enjoyed a more relaxed atmosphere to hear music during the day without it being a sleazy bar scene.
A vibrant, fun place and definitely on our "must return" list. The locals are amazingly friendly, the nightlife fantastic and New Orleans cuisine is outstanding.
I loved New Orleans it was all I thought it would be. We enjoyed the night ghost walk around the streets.
Very tourist oriented city, hard to meet real locals when you stay down town (French Quarter). Bourbon St is crazy but fun for a night if on the weekend, Frenchman st is better for week nights and has more locals.
Always feel like I leave a little bit of my heart and soul in NOLA. Always stay in the Quarter as I must have dinner in my favorite places.
A fascinating city. The French Quarter is a little too 'museified' but beyond a limited zone, there a great deal of authentic urban vibrancy.
Its a great city to see a wide variety of culture, music, and food. Everywhere you go there is entertainment.
