"When I went to check-in at 4:30 PM, the clerk had to walk upstairs to see if the room was ready. The hallways smell like smoke. Unfortunately, the other guests have disrespected a nice hotel. A child had drawn on the bedroom walls, there was still two oily handprints on the bedboards, and there was some sort of dark splatter on the ceiling. 20% of the bathtub paint had peeled away. It's ok for one night. The ice machine didn't work. Fridge and microwave was in the room. "

"I needed a room where I could decompress after being on a cruise for a week, yet still be able to get out and enjoy a little more New Orleans before going back to reality. The Pelham was perfect! I was able to walk a short distance and be in the middle of everything and the room was a haven when I came back. Welcoming staff and facility. I'd stay again."

"I booked 3 executive rooms with 2Queen-beds. However only one room was particular bigger than the other two rooms which we had no problem with but we paid for the same price. Would've thought we will get the same size rooms. Check in was smooth, they were able to accomodate our early check in and late check out. Complimentary welcome drinks was awesome, rooftop pool is beautiful, and rooms are very clean with kitchenette set up, and not to mention washer and dryer unit is a great perk! Will definitely recommend other to book from this hotel for the modern and new rooms!"

"This hotel location was excellent. I got an amazing deal and we got an upgrade when we arrived which was amazing. The cleanliness for the calibre of hotel could have been better but nothing that was offensive. The staff were really friendly and the bayou bar and hot tin roof are excellent spots to try out. Overall I would stay again if I got a similar price point! "

"The Monteleone is a beautiful grand old hotel in the midst of the French Quarter. I understand that it's still owned and operated by the same family since its beginnings. It is immaculately kept and quite comfortable, in my opinion. Service was very good, and our river view room was beautifully appointed. I will say though by modern standards storage was a bit limited in our base priced double room. Nevertheless I couldn't be happier with my recent stay. Besides for those that stay there, the hotel itself is a tourist destination. Its Carousel Bar, famous for being one of Gov. Huey P. Long's favorite haunts, attracts visitors and natives alike to come on in for a drink and is quite busy. Although we didn't dine there a good friend and French Quarter resident for nearly fifty years gave high praises to the hotel's restaurant. I feel that I got a wonderful deal booking through Agoda, and the next time in New Orleans I would gladly stay at the Monteleone again."
