Jesmond Executive Villas
Jesmond,Newcastle - View on map
"Great place to stay, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our booking had not been recieved and although they were extremly busy this was not a problem for the staff especially the young gentleman on the desk he just organised an apartment and advised he would sort out the rest. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable, just perfect for what we wanted and close enough to John Hunter Hospital (approx 3km. There is a shopping centre across the road and is only 15 mins from Newcastle City centre. Would highly recommend Jesmond Executive Villas. Only thing to watch out for is the entrance is just after a round about and very easy to miss the first time and you have to go back around the block to get there. Thank you "

"Really happy with the hotel, the facilities, the staff. Our spa room was wonderful and clean. Its about a 10-15 min drive from Newcastle itself but we had a car so not an issue. Secure car parking, lots of options for dinner. Would definitely stay again! "

Quest Newcastle West

"The hot water ran out very quickly while javing a shower. I was in room 101B so it was a bit of a hike each time i had to go to my car. On departure nothing was said about the return of holding deposit its been 6 days and i still dont have it. I contact them via email and was advised my bank was holding it and i had to contact my bank. I went into the bank and showed them the letter and was told they have had this happen many times before but no it wasnt the bank it was the hotel. I have emailed them again and haven't received a response. If i had of known all of this prior - I would not have chosen to stay as there were mamy other suitable options available. Lesson learnt. Unfortunately i wont be visiting quest again and feel strongly about my opinion of it was a waste of money and highly disappointing "

Alloggio Newcastle Beach

"Surprised by many of the reviews here - if you're looking for a 5-star at this price, you will be disappointed. If you want a clean, comfortable, budget hotel within minutes walk of the beach and central Newcastle, then this is ideal. I was fine with the check-in process being automated and when I did have an issue, someone answered the phone in about 5 seconds to help me. All in all, great option!"

Shortland Hotel

"A bit if negative I found a dirty pillow case in my room, bedsheet gave me a bit of rash not sure if it's the cleanliness or the quality. I found that a couple used a girl bathroom apart from using for shower. (I know it's not the hotel's fault but safety still a bit questioning. "

Honeysuckle Executive Suites

"This stay worked out OK but be aware that there are no staff at the complex, checking in and out is done by text messages and a letter box at other complex with a combination lock, information is text to you. Make sure you book car parking when booking your stay, could cause you a problem if you don't."

"I always stay here when in Newcastle for business. the location suits me, if you need to travel north, east, south or western suburbs it is very easy to access from this location. The rooms are large There is a large car park that is safe and having on site managers they keep an eye on things as well. The managers are great, very friendly and know Newcastle well so if you need help finding something they are willing to assist. Over all the for the area this is great value for money, they will see me again."

Traveler impressions of Newcastle

More about Newcastle

Newcastle is the oldest seaport in Australia and sits at the mouth of the Hunter River. Newcastle Airport services the area, and flights from Sydney are said to be more scenic than convenient. Reaching the city by car or train takes about the same amount of time and also provides some nice views along the way.

The city of Newcastle is an ideal destination for lovers of surfing, bush walking, wine, and history. The largest surfing competition in Australia, Surfest, is held here annually and attracts surfers from around the world. Redhead Beach and Dudley Beach are both ideal for surfing, and Nobbys Beach caters to the kite surfer. Ocean baths are a common form of recreation and can be enjoyed at sites such as Merewether Ocean Baths or The Bogey Hole. Travelers looking to take in the more natural elements of Newcastle can visit the Hunter Wetlands Center or Blackbutt Reserve. In between excursions, a shopping trip can be had at Darby Street in Cooks Hill or at the Hunter Street Markets. Darby Street also offers a number of restaurants and cafes, and Beaumont Street in Hamilton is another popular dining destination. For views of the city, head to Queens Wharf Tower or the Christ Church Cathedral.
