More about Nice

The city of Nice is an ethnically diverse port city considered to be the capital of the French Riviera. Travelers from all walks of life come here for the city’s welcoming and charming radiance as well as the beautiful landscapes. There is said to be something for everyone, starting with the incredible views that can be seen when flying into Nice Airport. Airport express buses make it convenient to access the city from here.

Taking in the views of the city might be the best way to get started when in Nice. In this way, travelers can be mesmerized by the gorgeous views and come to terms that they are in a Mediterranean paradise. Mont Boron is the best vantage point for views, and the old fort and nearby villa of Sir Elton John also offer fine views. On the way to Manaco is the village of Eze on a small mountain with a beautiful cactus garden and some spectacular views. Views of the city will certainly include the beaches which make for some nice recreation or leisure. Nice beaches are mostly covered in pebbles or large flat stones, but a few private beaches offer the sand with sea, and a few nearby towns also have a more authentic seaside escape. Colline du Chateau overlooks the Baie des Agnes and harbor, and several museums are worth a stop throughout a journey here. The origins of the city can be explored at The Archeological Museum of Nice-Cimiez, and the old town is an explorer’s delight with a maze of streets and alleys. If looking for a nice stroll, a number of parks dot the city, and a cliff walk around Cap de Nice makes for a beautiful journey.
