The Westin Rusutsu Resort
Rusutsu,Niseko - View on map
"We got upgraded to a deluxe unit because the hotel was at full occupancy. The room was clean, spacious, well-designed, and had a great view of the mountains. The hotel surroundings were peaceful and quiet, which made it a nice getaway. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was linked to the Rusutsu Resort by monorail, and there were many facilities in the vicinity (shops, eating places, Yotei gondola etc.) We had the dinner buffet at the Atrium, which was pricey but did not have a good spread. That was not very value for money..."

"A very nice cosy hotel in niseko with free shuttle bus to and from Kutchan Station. A little distance from Annapuri and Hirafu Ski Resort but with walking distance to Moiwa Ski Resort. Room is spacious and clean. Booked room with dinner and I get 2 nights of delicious course meal dinner. Superb. "

"According to our kids: "One of the best vacations". Niseko is around 3 hours bus ride from Chitose Airport, but it's worth the travel. I personally like the area which is away from the usual crowded city life. In Niseko, we connected with nature and I can't get enough of the beauty of Mt. Yotei, its cap is still covered with snow. She is so beautiful. It's off ski season and most of the resorts are closed, but luckily Grand Hirafu Ski Resort was open. We had a great family time. The kids learned to ski, thanks to our instructor who patiently taught first timers like us. Free scheduled shuttle is also available for hotel guests who would like to explore Niseko. Don't miss to drop by the Milk Kobo, just a 3 minutes shuttle ride form the hotel, they offer the best tasting cheese cake, ice cream and cream puffs. We also enjoyed The Village which is located beside the hotel. Food was great and the scenery was incomparable. Hotel staffs were very accommodating to our requests and questions. They offered nice breakfast but choices were limited. We ate mostly the same line up for 3 days. Our room, which was at the top floor, was small compared to other hotels we stayed, but it was clean and the view was amazing. I hope we can go back in one of our future vacations and truly enjoy the white season."

Traveler impressions of Niseko

More about Niseko

A popular destination for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, Niseko is located on the island of Hokkaido in Japan. Niseko is best accessed by bus from the nearby Chitose Airport in Sapporo for regional and some international visitors, or a train journey may be necessary if arriving from major international airports in the area.

The most prevalent activity in Niseko revolves around the snow, and climbing the mountains nearby. The area sees a great deal of snowfall during winter, providing plenty of powder for those who are here to ski or snowboard at one of the several ski resorts such as Niseko Village Ski Resort.

The Japanese hot spring spa known as Onsen is another favorite activity among visitors and locals alike. Many of the onsen are natural hot springs, and most hotels in the area offer their own for their guests. The Natural Spring Water of Niseko is located in the town center, with many hotels surrounding the area, so visitors can make good use of this natural resource.
