"My favourite hotel in ooty. This was my second stay in this hotel and this time with my parents . And believe me you can't find better hotel in ooty compare to it..what a location , brillient rooms design.every room is a small two room cottage. One is bedroom and second ine is living room. 24 hrs hot water. Clean beds .one cot and two sofa with four chairs dining set in living room. Near to lake and city centre. Every thing is perfect, only restaurant i find little bit expensive but food was good. Must try idlies in breakfast. I asked them to give me room with no stairs ( bcoz of my parents) and belive me rooms were ready and in first row. Last time we booked superior room so in that a fireplace was there. Tjis time fireplace was missing . So asked before booking if you need bonefire. "

"hi Stayed there last week for 4 nights. View is great and no pollution of the town centre. WIFI did not work for the whole stay. Staff said due to weather there was problem. I feel they were not stating facts . WIFI does not cover the whole 12 rooms in the mini resort. Restaurant cooking is spicy and cook does not follow guests instructions for cooking. Ordered a dry vegetable and was served with gravy i do not know what I was served . Ordered non spicy and was served spicy once more. Thus for the last two nights we carried our food on our way back from Ooty. Food order takes minimum 60 mins or sometimes can take even 90 mins. You need to chase them. Breakfast is good, timings are 8 am to 9.30 am only. Rooms and Toilets are neat and clean. Sheets are not changed on daily basis . Since the curtains are polyester material fungus can be found on the same. This leads to room stinking a bit. Housekeeping needs a lot of more staff or else management to get work done. "

"We (me & my wife) had travelled to Ooty in the month of June 2016, and decided to stay at the Fortune Sullivan court. The hotel has a very vintage feel to it, nice cozy rooms and warm staff. Breakfast in the morning was always a nice spread with a good combination of South indian, North indian and Continental dishes. The location of the hotel is also good, it is right next to the Rose garden and has all important market locations such as ‘Charring cross’, ‘Commercial road’, etc... within a 15 min walking distance. Great place to stay for family. We also took a tour package from the hotel, this was at a reasonable cost and the driver was very professional and knowledgeable about the area. The only area which I felt needs to be improved is the lack of communication/sync between front desk staff and the rest of the departments in the hotel. Example (one of the few examples): In the description on the fortunehotels.in website it clearly mentions under ‘Fortune Club Rooms’ - “Guests will enjoy complementary usage of steam/sauna for 1 hour, once during the stay”. Now, I am not the type who will be stingy and ask for freebies (esp. where none is offered). I’d rather pay in full and enjoy the services. However, in this case it is clearly offered and mentioned in the website. So I enquired about it. The front desk staff ‘Ganesh’, first of all refused and said they don’t offer any such thing. I said it is mentioned on the website (it still says the same on the website) and showed it to him on the website. He said he will get back to me, and inspite of following up multiple times no one bothered to get back. This was a clear indication to me as the customer that the front desk did not have any clue. In the night I enquired yet again, we were informed that now the sauna is closed but we can use in the morning. Since we were supposed to checkout the next day, we booked the Sauna session for 8am with the front desk so that we can relax for a while before we checkout. Howeve"

"We were a group of 6 people with 2 couples. We arrived on Saturday noon to King's Cliff from Bangalore. 3 of us rode our bikes & a car. The staff were extremely generous through our requests all weekend. One of them being a secure space to park our high end bikes. The place has a cozy & calm vibe to it. It takes you back in time ! Every element in this place is very vintage, yet has a contemporary appeal to it. I would urge travelers to opt for their Deluxe room as primary option. The view from the window is mind blowing. Its worth every penny. The restaurant Earl's secret is the best part of this place. There is no better place to step out in Ooty for a grub other than Earl's Secret. Make use of it as much as you can. Had a wonderful weekend & looking forward to return soon."

"Good cosy hotel in the hill station with great value for money. Room has a small relaxing lounge area to put your feet up and enjoy the view of the scenery below. The gardens and pool area are well maintained. Dinner was good and service was excellent. I enjoyed the Indian cuisine and advice by the waiters let me enjoy the best food of the south. Improvement is required to the bathrooms and carpets should be replaced as this is a popular hotel when compared to the other hotels in ooty. Make sure you carry some warm clothes as the area is generally cold with very little to do but relax and enjoy the scenery."

"Had stayed for 2 nights here on a family trip. Hotel is located on a hill top and Is at walkable distance from the tea factory and about 10mins drive by car to boat house. As its on a hill, this isn't in the heart of city type hotel with small roads and congested traffic which is what I had wanted and you get a very nice view from the garden especially during night with all the lights in ooty. Also the hotel staff is very helpful and there is car parking facility in the premises. Lobby area and large garden are their plus points and they also have a kids indoor play area where you can let your kids alone to play on their own without any fears. The play area also has a good badminton court, TT table, Snooker, chess, carrom and also a cardio gym with sauna. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The restaurant food was OK, but if you're a hardcore tandoori chicken person and want a large variety of food, best to eat out as the hotel does not provide tandoori items. We had ordered some parathas, Chinese chicken and daal which were good. Breakfast options were decently good , specifically liked the puri and sambar. Overall a good place to stay on a family trip and excellent value for money for the 3500/- per night room that I had stayed in👍"
