"Stayed 4 nights in a standard cabin and was very impressed by the holiday park. It is only a small place, but friendly, well-run and also with a fantastic location. The beach literally starts from the corner of this place, which makes walks along the long beach very easy. Location is lovely too, you drive a few km alongside an estuary to get here, yet Owaka (small supermarket, petrol station and cafes) is only 6km drive away. Friendly and helpful owners too. Despite being only a standard cabin, it came with a fridge, TV and also a DVD player. In the office they have a great selection of DVDs too. Cabins were warm, clean and big enough and because the park is only small, then were also quiet. The main kitchen/lounge block is also good, books and games there as well as a TV. It was cleaned daily and was always very clean. For the price paid, it was a bargain, and more pleasant than some other nearby places that we have stayed in. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended "

"To be honest, I actually hesitated booking there because of the location. I mean, if it was not about the Sea Lion Colony and Nugget Point, and Slope Point, we would've not gone to that far south side, ESPECIALLY DURING THE WINTER WITH THIS BIG RISK OF SNOWING WHEN YOU RENT A 2WD CAR. Well, that's our decision, the car but It's actually worth to stay with that long journey from Mossburn. I took selfies with animals, not in a cage but wild ones. Penguins and Baboons in South Africa, Monkeys and Asian elephants in Cambodia, etc., and of course I wanted to take one with Sea Lions (but they could be dangerous lol). So yes, we checked in during the day time and this nice guy (sorry I forget people's name easily) told me where to go to see them. But maybe we got no luck, only could hear their sound at night (it's actually really scary, think of this way - you can see nothing in the dark but this lion sound from the darkness) But yes still we loved staying there. Especially the location!"
