This hotel is the nicest hotel in Pakse, by a large margin. I'll preface this by saying I've stayed here several times but only in the "1 bedroom suite" room. Very comfortable bed and linens. Well maintained and clean. Serviceable internet, 2-3mbps which isn't insane but will be quite sufficient for emails and some video streaming. I've not swam in the pool but it looks clean and well maintained. The staff are very pleasant and eager to assist. Free shuttle to and from airport, which is a nice large airconditioned van. There are much cheaper options in Pakse but this is the "fancy" hotel in the region.

Although Pakse Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Pakse City it has managed to stay beautiful, clean and well maintained; it continues to exude its old world charm. For the price we paid we were not expecting too much that is why as soon as we entered our room we were delighted to see how spacious and tastefully decorated it is. Wi-Fi was strong enough to ensure a decent internet connection. We checked the rooftop bar to enjoy a good view of the surrounding area. The Frenchman at the reception helped us arrange a tuktuk to visit Wat Phou Temple. He was also very responsive to our request for info about the cereal served at the buffet table. Breakfast was acceptable although it can be improved by adding more items to the menu. Overall, my sister and I enjoyed our time at the Pakse Hotel. Highly recommended!

Great hotel for the money, the bathrooms do need updating but not a problem as clean. The beds are the best in Pakse and very comfortable. This is a great little hotel with the owner on hand and great staff. Breakfasts are wonderful on the roof restaurant with stunning views to 3 sides. I have read a few negative things about this place re the cleanliness of the bathrooms and house keeping in general. All have a little substance but please don’t let that put you off, everywhere in Laos is dusty and it must be incredibly hard to keep anywhere away from dust. This hotel is one of the best, small personal and great position. Sure things in Laos could be cleaner but remember Laos is not a western country, anyone expecting western standards haven’t read up about south east Asia. We stayed at Le Jardin Hotel in Pakse twice as a stop over on our trip to the 4000 islands. The hotel is incredibly well run by Ms Noi who will greet you by name and together with her staff will make sure you enjoy every moment of your stay. The hotel provides a nice breakfast (eggs made to order, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, baguette, jams), has a good sized pool to cool off, airconditioned rooms and comfortable beds. The details in this hotel are nicer than in any other hotel we‘ve encountered on our trip, everything is thoughtfully designed and executed. Since the hotel is outside of the core of Pakse they provide a free nightly shuttle into town for dinner and will recommend good places to eat. All around a lovely place to spend some time.

We stayed here for 2 nights as our first trip to Pakse. Before coming to Pakse we didn't know about the city, where is actually the 2nd largest town of Laos, and after that we enjoyed the stay there, it is a good place to stay relaxed, there have some good restaurants. The hotel is very new and modern designed, and is rare in Pakse such a modern designed hotel. The balcony outside the room, facing the swimming pool, is good for enjoying drinking, such as BEERLAO or Laos spirits "LaoLao" after dinner. I strongly recommend this hotel to stay, and if we have another opportunity to visit Pakse, we want to stay again this hotel.

we enjoyed our stay at the arawan riverside hotel. it is a beautiful hotel next to the mekong river ! suggest you book the river view room … you will be glad you did. the service staffs are exceptional ! great breakfast ! with lots of selection. great restaurants … quiet ambience … i give the service staffs at the arawan riverside hotel two thumbs up … way up… they are exceptional ! this is truly a five stars hotel and we would stay here again on our next visit to pakse.

We stayed here on three separate occasions coming in and out of Pakse. The guesthouse is centrally located to restaurants, bars , tourist agencies and motorbike rentals. The rooms and lobby were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and they allowed us to leave our bags with them when we went on a four day motorbike tour. We also stayed their after our tour of 4000 Islands. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse not only for it's location but also for the value. Great springboard to get to locations outside of Pakse.

This is a first rate operation well organized which spares no effort in looking after guests. Our tour director and all the staff and crew were unbelievably nice. The food was delicious and abundant and beautifully served. We had time to visit several villages along the way and even visited a primary school and sang a song to the kids. One of the highlights of course was the stop at the Wat Phou the fabulous ruins of a former Hindu site related to Angkor Wat. We had perfect weather. The only challenge is the several hour SUV and longboat trip to meet the boat. But it made the serenity of the river all that more welcome.

The owner was very friendly, lovely and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast and especially the dinner were super delicious!! We ate every evening in the hotel. We rented a scooter and bought bus tickets for a sleepingbus and every thing was fine. When you are in Pakse to visit the Bolaven Plateau just rent a scooter. It is NOT importent to have an accomandation near to the Center!!!! Even better to have this one, it Is calme and you can relax!! :-)

The hotel is not on a walking distance from the centre or "boulevard" and after 21.00 hrs there are no tuktuks to find in Pakse! Breakfast is not included which means an additional 50.000 kip per person per breakfast. We had to change the reservation (change the already paid second day to a date later in the week) which was no problem. Communication was, so somebody was called who did speak English and some minutes later everything was okay! If you rent a motorbike we suggest the shop next to Bolaven, the restaurant/terrace on Route 13 (center).

Sitting in an old French Villa turned Sala Champa Hotel in Pakse, Laos on the covered veranda in ancient lacquered rattan chairs, smelling and watching the rain blow in from the Mekong. The grey laden thunder clouds rattle as shopkeepers hurry to pull food, clothing, red Laotian flags and assorted wares into the shelter of their darkened stores. The end of the dry season embraces the beginning of the rains like the welcome caress of a lover. Erase the buzz of the motorbikes and cars hurrying to get to their destination before the drenching and one can easily be transported back to the French colonial era when this house stood sentinel to the wealth of rubber and luxury it provided its owners. The incessant whirring of fans mingles with the call of birds from their wicker cages and the soughing of leaves as the thunder dominates the sky. Lighting flashes and the rain is released in a torrent. It explodes in sheets beating on the tin roofs, ratta tat tat. The air swells in a profusion of ions and welcome cool. Motorcyclists have given up on staying dry, the brave ones no longer seeking shelter, speed thru the rain. The cadence of the downpour is reassuring that crops will grow, trees will flower and cisterns will fill. And slowly the pace of the rain drops ease off, leaving bubbles of water popping in pools on the tiles in the courtyard. The thunder rolls on to its next destination and the grey sky begins to show patches of clearing. The surrounding concrete buildings which have since replaced the former teak structures, drip with black mildew down the edges of the structures not recently painted to ward off its onslaught.....the fight already won. Mold the unanimous victor. The mottled grey black seeps down the sides of all edges claiming ownership,a Jackson Pollack monochromatic expression, the fantasy of restoration lost

It's the worst hotel i've ever stayed in, in my entire life all over the world. It says city centre and it's anything but. It's on a side street from a really horrible main road far away from centre.At the airport they didn't even know the hotel existed.The staff only know one word in English, "passport" otherwise unless one speaks Lao,one will be completely lost. We asked about, river,city centre, even milk for the tea, all we got was blank stares and giggles. We had no breakfast on both days, just tea. Again when we enquired , we got blank stares. The least i expect from a hotel that receives tourists is basic english. Room was ok though mirror was covered in water drops. If i were the Lao minister of tourism i would close it down immediately.

This hotel is good value as Pakse is an expensive town to stay. It is also a building site and so is this hotel. My room was finished and very nice. My friends had a twin which was not so nice but in due course will be renovated. The staff were not so helpful but this was mainly due to no English being spoken apart from the son when you can catch him. Pakse is a base to go off on bikes on the waterfall loop. Which is amazzing. But Pakse needs to be finished then maybes has something to offer

Booked online w/non refundable rate thru agoda. On arrival was told don't do online reservations so I paid cash for 2 nights. Via Agoda website had email for Manager who very promptly apologized said he would meet me next afternoon as I had touring plans and didn't want to miss while dealing with this issue. When I returned at about 3pm the desk clerk, same as on check in, apologized and promptly refunded my duplicate cash payment in full. Communication is challenging however Managers prompt and pleasant resolution was/is greatly appreciated!
