"I honestly wondered if the reviews I read for this hotel, prior to booking, were true, because I thought the price was great. They were. The hotel is in a small town, but beautifully located - go for a walk to the visitors' center if you have time. The room was very clean, with good amenities; breakfast was very good - I thought the scrambled eggs were more moist than at most places that serve them. Also, the pool and hot tub are open until midnight, which is wonderful for people who have had a long day driving. I was tired when I arrived rather late, and it was really great to actually have time to unpack and eat before heading to the hot tub. Also, I found the staff to be exceptional; super friendly and very helpful. Thanks Grand Vista for a very enjoyable stay. "

"Overall the hotel was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars all the was across was because there was never anyone at the front desk. I had to ring the bell (and ignor the "Use Lobby Phone for Assistance") and wait for them to come to the desk every time I needed help, which made me feel like i was intruding on their breaks. Also they offered a coupon for free "nachos" which consisted of a handful of potato chips (not tortilla chips) a pinch of shredded cheese (not queso sauce), olives, jalapenos and salsa. Not nachos even by gringo standards and the chips became soggy as soon as the other ingredients touched them. I threw mine away. "
