Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Its just a shame the French are sometimes a tad unfriendly, some are great but a few.
.. The highlights of our trip were a river cruise with Bateux Parisiens, visiting the Roden Musuem, The Eiffel Tower and its surrounds and shopping on the Champs Elysees! Despite our fears after the recent terror attacks, we saw no evidence of trouble, life has returned to normal in Paris and we really enjoyed the trip.
The metro is the best way to get around and if you know you will use it a lot get the 10 ticket pack or the Paris visit pass.
It is quick and easy to get around on the metro to all the museums and sights you want to visit. Stop anyplace and find a cafe or restaurant. It doesn't mater what area you are visiting or where your hotel is as long as you are near the Metro everything is easily within reach. Visiting the Louvre is a no brainer and may take more than one visit to be satisfied. One surprisingly interesting (although macabre) attraction for us wereThe Catacombs (the Paris Ossuary).
Very beautiful city but you need to prepare when you take the metro as there is a long distance when you change the line
a incredible city, many delicious food especially the seafoods. Good for shopping and I've buy a pretty Chanel classic flag bag.
Modern Paris owes much to its late 19th century Second Empire remodelling by the Baron Haussmann: many of modern Paris's busiest streets, avenues and boulevards today are a result of that city renovation.
Paris is an expensive city. The centre of Paris contains the most visited monuments in the city. It is home of some of the largest fashion houses in the world. Many activities and events take over the city, offering fun for everyone and families.
Paris is not a stroller friendly especially at the Metro stations. Get a light buggy or babywear your child.
Get a Paris Visite Pass for unlimited metro/RER/bus usage, but remember to keep the receipt after you have purchased it. Go to Eiffel Tower during the weekdays and buy the ticket online.
the attractions are walkable. what i meant was we literally walked from Notre dame to Eiffel tower and back from there too.
we do not need to travel by train or bus. our pairs of leg are all we need to get to the other places. food are decent.
Wow Paris, i think this city is overrated but still it's Paris, hahaha, i will definitely go back here to explore the museums church streets etc, history is very nice to learn, see u again PAris
The place has many historical buildings to admire and photography is recommended in this city. Always get the 1 week pass to travel around in Tram, Bus, RER and Metro is the most efficient package
Paris is a city you feel more when you know more about it's story and history. A lot of details are hidden behind those historical and magnificent architecture.
If you prepare more, you discover more.
City is very good for sight seeing, but beware of pick pockets. I got pick pocketted at Nation metro station of all my money.
Paris is really a good place and you must spend about one week there to enjoy everything - food, culture, museum, etc.
I love Paris, during my business life I was lucky enough to visit Paris on many occasions. This trip was to visit with friends of Paris, one of which was a victim of the Paris shooting 13 Nov 15.
well, not too bad. basically everybody speaks english. it is just a matter of how well they speak only
romantic city beautiful sights expensive otherwise but worth the trip food choices are limited good for couples and friends
Every thing ok but train station very bad smell. And direction way to train route signs are quite confusing when you look at a map, it's different, I think system plans no good just making to confuse
Only Eiffel tower & shopping make up of this city. Train station dirty & smelly; just like what other travellers mentioned.
ordinary french people on the road are friendly and helpful, as opposed to french business retailers who are quite rude, realistic and unhelpful in directions etc.
unless you buy from them. EVERYONE SMOKES!!! I felt suffocated throughtout my whole trip and not for asthmatic people. Metro subway is convenient though quite dirty. SERIOUS SHORTAGE OF PUBLIC TOILETS even in major attractions! Generally not very tourist friendly in infrastructure: lack of tourist booths/centres and lack of asian or other food. All these aside, it is enjoyable and relaxing enough
Travel books and websites will tell you a lot. But I love my stay in Paris. The metro was a huge help in exploring various parts of the city.
I definitely will be back there.
I just love Paris, so much to see, so much to do. My favourite city in the world. Can't wait to go back!
Paris is a great place for sightseeing, romantic place. the public train are convenient and easy. France people are not really friendly and helpful
Paris offers lots of tourist attractions such as Eiffel Tower and museums for those interested in sigh-seeing and historical buildings.
Those interested in shopping would find Champ Elysee a good spot as it's a long street with lots of brands outlet.
We loved Paris! Get as many days as you can. We took 10 days and we didn't even scratch the surface. We didn't have time to see the D'Orsay museum or other things.
We went with a toddler (3-year old) and Parisian people were so kind and welcoming to our toddler. We love Paris and will be back!
Paris a city of love.. well that's what we thought after seeing lot of pictures and movies. But reality is quite different.
If you are going to travel Paris please be careful with pick pocketing, security, do not travel in the night and always buy some water in the evening before all grocery store close down. There is not even a single store which can open 24 hours. People are arrogant, unfriendly and rude or we can just say they are french. Don't expect any hospitality from them. They are not used to such things. If you are a budget traveler always prepare in advance and always go at airport at least 3-4 hour before. because These people are lazy as hell. Always leave your document such as passport, important documents at hotel in safety box otherwise chances are you will lose at metro.
try to stay few days in the city and spread the sight seeing over these days and just enjoy walking in the city
Since it is one of the most famous cities in the world, it is a busy one and perhaps expensive too. But it is worth it.
Very nice place to visit, however beware of pickpockets, avoid talking to street vendors. Also if travelling on weekends, try put most of the sightseeing on Sunday, as most shops / restaurants will be close.
It is a romantic city with a very rich cultural heritage. It has all the trappings of an exciting city with so many things to offer.
The only thing that is not so good is its lack of cleanliness with rubbish and papers strewn all over the city.
Paris is a place that you can do freely such as going to the museums, walking day and night is safe and the people are friendly
We bought a pass $86 euros from the tourist centre. A bit expensive but it includes an hour boat trip on the Seine and a tour on the double decker bus + free bus and subway to get around.
You get to see the location of most of the central attractions and you can then decide which ones you will want to visit. The pass also saves you from waiting in line to get in to various museums. This saved us 1 hour wait time at the Louvre. With the pass we walked right in.
