Beware of public transport as employees at the bus company will do their best to rip u off. When you get on the bus make sure you have an unused ticket, and you validate it immediately as soon as u get on board the bus, otherwise they'll fine you.
I bought my ticket from the driver and because I didn't validate it immediately I got fined within five minutes (the fine is more expensive than in the capital!!!). I was a victim of unfair control cos they could see I was tourist. The places to see are not that many, but if you stay at Laterum hotel you won't want to check out it's that good. No matter which hotel you stay at, make sure you ask them about rules and regulations to avoid being turned into a victim.
Pecs is a nice little town. Unfortunately, I went there in January and many things were closed or closed early.
My nights ended too early because of this. I would go back to Pecs again but not in the winter time. Even though, I was still able to enjoy myself. There are many things to see. The Mosque Church is amazing. There is so much history there. If you like history, I would definitely recommend Pecs.
Apart from the many beautiful monuments such as the Bishop's Palace and St. Peter & Paul Cathedral, there are many splendid historical houses, museums and gardens.
I really liked the fact that the flower beds in the main square were planted with herbs. If you want to see everything you need more than two days.
