Find Hotels in Phang Nga, Thailand

I love to stay away from bustling town, Phuket. That is the reason I chose this hotel. The beach is nice. The swimming & hot spring are superb. The service is ok. Wifi is a bit slow. My room is clean. The architecture seems like built in 90s. It has feeder bus to near by town Khok Kloi every two hours. Tours to Phang Nga bay, Koh Phi Phi & James Bond Island can be arrange at hotel reception. Foods are a bit over price. Continental buffet breakfast is nice. You can take breakfast box as well.

The hotel is individual and has character. It is a beautiful setting, built around a lake and the staff are very helpful. The restaurant serves the best food we have eaten in Thailand and we ate there every night. The swimming pool is in a magical setting and is beautiful. The excursions organised by the hotel are well organised and take you to see the real Thailand, a little of the beaten track, with an excellent guide. The location is great, as you are not far from the coast or rainforest. The snorkling trip was the highlight of our holiday. There is a small cafe next door which serves great sandwiches and you cijan buy snacks and drinks. We will certainly be returning.

The WOW factor was the first thing we got upon our arrival at the Resort. It is located in the grounds of Katathong Golf Club. The Resort was six star with a three star price, maybe as there were not many people booked in. We were greeted by Tony the Resident Manager who made our check in very easy. Tony was full of information about the Resort and what to see in the area, Located only one hour from Khao Lak you will need a car or arrange for transport. If you are a golfer then this is the place to be. We would recommend Katathong Resort to anyone wanting to escape the "rat race" of Phuket and to sit on your balcony looking over the golf course and mountains. Heaven. We shall be back again very soon.

Cheap and cheerful, but don't expect too much in the way of entertainment or choice of restaurants. A good way to visit the Phang Nga national park area, as there are plenty of private ferry boat operators and fishermen in the area. The swimming pool is out of service, but the adjacent beach is adequate, although it could use a clean up. Local people are very capable of providing taxi service, laundry etc.

I chose this place as this is an old style building converted to be chic accommodation,but very clean. It provides public area to sit, talk and see some Historical places in This city. Owner who run business give some interesting recommendations to visit places in Phang-Nga town. It' s near fresh market, where easy to find local Southern food. The deck of hotel provides panoramic view of Moutain surrounded. My mom & I were impressed with hospitality of owner.We would go back next trip in Phang-Nga.

Bad 1. When we arrived, they said they did not received the booking from Agoda 2. They asked if my price from Agoda is included VAT... 3. I didn't realize that my booking is pay-at-hotel type. Instead of refer to the booking they should have, they asked to take the photo of my booking and ask for creadit card slip at 10pm!? 3. Breakfast fast is bad. We booked two rooms. Eggs and sausages are not even for three people just a simple math. And we paid the same price! 4. Wifi is no working 5. For this price you only get two bottles of water in the room 6. The first room we booked got a thousand ants in the room so we asked to change to another room which us same size, same everything. But they charged me more... Good 1. The view.

I don't think I should be writing this review because I don't want to ruin how special and secret this place feels by attracting more people to it. However I think people should know about it as it was one of the most special places Ive ever visited and stayed. Far away from the busy tourist trap towns that seem to now dominate Thailand this was the highlight of our 3 week trip to this beautiful country. Don't expect night markets rammed with tourists all eating westernised versions of Thai food because this is the real deal and a much more quite and relaxed way of life. If you want to know more you have to go there and find our yourself!

Take the room upstairs. Great view and huge size. Room is good enough for 2 stars guesthouse but very clean. Absolute best part of our stay is thanks to owner. He guided us for the day trip to phang nga islands trip. As photographer enthusiast like me, we went together to see sunrise in fishermen village. Then we did the classic day trip with all normal destinations but he arranged to get us there before every others tourists groups. I was quite reluctant to go to see James Bond island because overcrowded. Better we went there thanks to him and the very first people on the place. Such a pleasure. I really advise to go in phang nga and stay there. I don't think that this small city has many guesthouse. But I definitely recommend this one as a must go but the nice room upstairs and great owner/guide

Really great place. My husband and I felt right at home. When we arrived, they showed us all three rooms and let us choose. We chose room #2. The ac worked great, wifi was strong, bed was comfy, and the bathroom had an amazing view from the shower. It was a great place to stay to take a boat tour of Phang Nga while avoiding the huge crowds of Phuket. They helped us book a trip with Sayan Tour, which I highly recommend. We had also looked into hiring a boat driver from the visitors center, and we are SO glad we went with Sayan instead.

We slept in tents, in the jungle, next to a lagoon! The tent are large and high and under a roof. It sounds like you re right in the jungle, its cool at night without fan and you re looking straight at a lagoon. Food is amazing and cheap. There s a temple and pizza nearby in case you re not into thai food every day. Nice waterfall to the north. Massage can he ordered. Should be less than 1k from airport. We were alone at this huge areal with just three staff. Its the best value i ve ever had and I am sad I left it for the expensive lone island where portions are small n pricey and tourists a plenty.

A very relaxing stay at the Villa during the low season with a really good price at agoda. We stayed 3 nights here in the mid August. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I will never forget eating the tasty sweet durian together. staffs are friendly and helpful. They help doing everything during my stay, including preparing breakfast and sometimes dinner and all the dish wash. The location is good for who travel with a car. Otherwise, You could ask them to give you a ride, 300 btha, two ways, to a supermarket to buy the food you want so that they will cook for you in Thai style or you can cook by yourselves. As the villa is very closed to phang nga bay, the owner is enthusiastic to give you information about tours to phangnga bay, including long boat riding, cave temple visit and etc. She also invited us to go to a hot and cold spring place nearby with her too. All in all, it is definite a relaxing place to stay, especially for those who wanna visit phang nga bay. Two tips, 1.Bring your insect repellent with you, as I got some mosquitoes bite during my visit. 2. Visit their facebook and you can talk to the owner directly. My friend's Comment, Binge watching dr who and swimming (pretending) for three days hidden in a mountain. Quite peaceful and restful... Friendly staff. Cook yourself or staff could prepare meals for you. Nice clean big size room. Large spacious comfortable common living room for those who is tired of staying in the bedroom. For one thing, don't try to hike in the wood less you are prepared for an onslaught of mosquitoes with bug repellent if it work and plenty of anit-itchy cream... They are ferocious...

Turned up after an hour trying to find the place (map wasn't great and sign posting not great and asked some very friendly local people) and there was a guy who didn't speak much English (our Thai terrible) watching tv in one of the rooms and the resort didn't seem to be open for business (no reception, bit run down, no staff). Great loacation though by the river and looked good if there had been some general maintenance and cleaning. Maybe closed for the off season? but I had paid for the room already and it had been a Long drive by bike so decided to go to Krabi as there was no room at the inn! Not good and will be asking for my money back as the guy was very confused about us being there and was obviously no room available so we left.

Great value for the money. Comfortable beds, excellent location (beside a night market and close to the falls) tons of channels on the TV if you are just clicking away before bed. Love the nice light breakfast with toast and mangosteen! Staff were very polite and helpful. The motorcycle rental on site was a definite bonus. Downside is there is no water heater for the shower. After being in Thailand for a while the water is never cold cold so if you're used to very hot showers this is not the place for you. Will stay again!

The staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful. The room however was not at all as described or shown in photos. This place is mainly a transient 'hotel' that either serves for long stay business workers or short stay home seekers. At this point my boyfriend and I have been travelling for over 2 months and never had such a horrible smelling room. As soon as we entered to room it smelled like old dead fish and we could not figure out why until we smelled the table in the room. It REEKED. As we decided to investigate the room more we discovered that the blanket had wet stains on the outside which were not water and hand prints covering the inside of the blanket. After informing the staff of the two problems the blanket was quickly replaced however we slept on top of them instead of underneath them as we didn't trust the cleanliness. The smell unfortunatly continued to be a problem as the juices had seeped into the cracks of the tables and throwing the table into was not an option...

The location is to secluded and there are no taxis. Only stay here if you are doing the James Bond island tour ( do not get it from mr.kean at the bus stop! He will promise the world but won't deliver). You are better off staying in the main town of Phang Nga as there are at least a couple of good bars and places to eat, as well as the brilliant monk cave temple. Finally the room was very nice but it faced the road and the walls are paper thin! On top of that the owners would be up at 5.30am cooking and chatting very loudly. Kitchen is out side! Very noisy. STAY IN TOWN or better yet just arrange your James Bond tour from Phuket!
