“Nice hotel! With a great Waterpark. The hotel is huge with a confusing layout. Took a while to get our bearings and how best to get to room, car, pools, etc. The staff was extremely friendly and the waterpark was great. Dont plan on bringing your own drinks to the park. You need to buy drinks from the bar (no big deal.) My 5 year old was bummed he was not tall enough to go on the slides. Believe you need to be 48". Park closed earlier than we liked 5pm and 6pm on weekends. Overall was a great trip. The family had fun and the kids did not want to leave. Good value as the room was larger than expected. Clean with friendly staff. Thank you AZ Grand Resort & Spa.”

“The Talking Stick resort has a lot going for it, including 5 restaurants, nice pool areas, a large parking garage, and a very good high-end restaurant with good food and an amazing view. The rooms are modern, comfortable and well designed. And the resort is located near a major highway that gives access to anywhere you want to go in Phoenix/ Scottsdale. Gambling and gaming is an added bonus if that is an activity you enjoy. In all, we liked the Talking Stick and would stay there again.”

“The only con was that I booked this place primarily for the pool and it was closed for remodeling the week I stayed here, and didn’t find out until I was checking in. Other than that, this hotel was super cute. I loved the decor and the room. The restaurant/bar Tranquilo downstairs serves delicious food and margaritas, and has great ambience. I will stay here every time I stay in Phoenix!”

“We recently stayed at the Omni at Montelucia the second week on March. Not knowing anything about the Pheonix/Scottsdale area, I researched dozens of properties looking for a property that would work well for our family (2 adults, 9 yo, 7 yo). There are a lot to choose from but because of the deal on the Omni, we ended up going with it. We are so happy we did! The property is beautiful, pictures on line don’t do it justice. We had a room in building 9 in the back side (single story). It had a yard area in the back that the kids would run around and play in. I read some reviews saying the buildings were forever apart...it was about a 3 minute walk to the main pool, so I guess those people don’t enjoy walking and enjoying a beautiful property. The resort has 2 pools, the main pool and an adults only pool. We spent time at the main pool. Again, loved it...no slides or anything crazy like that but put a kid in a pool and that’s all it takes. A great time and will be back!”

“We booked this room because our daughter had a liver transplant and we needed to be close to hospital after her release. Unfortunately she wasn't released but it was too late to cancel. So my husband stayed most nights and I one night. The room was a 2 room king suite. I thought the couch was a hideabed but when we removed cushions all we found was popcorn. Other than that room was very clean. We booked this hotel for daughters 3rd week but cancelled because even though room was nice (nice furniture, bed, etc) it didn't have a very homey feel to it. My husband described it as "HARD". Dark furniture,floor, heavy drapery etc. Also the bathroom was too far from bedroom (for our daughter to have gone) and there were only 2 light switches . Rest of lights were lamps you would have to go turn on. I would think a business man would love the room but not so much if you like "soft" homey rooms. We were looking from point of view for daughter couped up in room for week.”

“This resort is in a great location in Scottsdale, AZ. Newly renovated but still lacking some things. In our 1st room, the garbage bins was still full with garbage from previous guest and the used bath-rob in the closet was tangled into a ball of the floor. The 2nd room was missing some towels. All rooms have only one small desk chair, and one luggage stool which is not enough and makes the room look empty... Half the rooms of the resort facing the inside court/pool and the other half, facing the resort exterior which is a parking lot 😔”

“I stayed there twice within 10 days (each time for a night). What I really loved about the hotel was their location (near the airport) and the staff. I had accidentally left my bag (wallet, passports, etc.) at the cafeteria and panicked (this had not happened to me before) when I found out after about 10-15 minutes. However, the staff had noticed it and kept it safe for me. This was right at the beginning of my trip and I was meant to be on the road for 3 weeks in AZ and Mexico. I am grateful to them. There is a small gym, which I didn't get a chance to try out. During my second stay, I used their laundromat. Very convenient -- I would have carried fewer clothes had I known in advance. Overall experience was good. My only request is to put more lights in the rooms. It is difficult to see anything that drops onto the dark carpets. Cheers.”

“This is the best value in Scottsdale. Easy and fast check-in. Driven in a golf cart to our room. Rooms was spacious and clean. Loved having courtesy van giving us rides. The grounds are beautiful!”

“Location is perfect, but rooms are terrible. Old, tired with low ceilings. You get one window that looks out onto the hallway. Useless as the window is, you cannot use it unless you want hallway people gawking into your room. We had a king room and were extremely disappointed at what we got for the money. Room looked like something you'd get at a much lower class hotel.”

“This hotel was conveniently located to the airport which is what I needed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable! I liked everything about this hotel and will be booking it for my next stay. In fact, I will be looking for Best Western whenever I travel now. ”

“Our visit started very poorly, but wound up ok. Key cards were not properly programmed, had to go back to desk and have new cards programmed. Wifi did not work, even after trying the desk (and IT) multiple times. No joy on day 1, but the wifi was back on day 2 and remained for our stay (5 d). Morning of 2nd day, there was no hot water in the shower/bathroom. Also, when we returned to our room at end of day 2, housekeeping had not even been in the room. After tweeting at Hilton, and multiple volleys of conversation, by day 4 local management stepped in. They made it right, giving us an appropriate discount on the visit. All issues had been resolved. Slow, but correct response. Staff didn't seem to be as responsive as they should for a Hilton hotel.”

“We paid about $45 for one night. Room was very big with lots of space. However we got there it was hot. Not like AC unit just on 72/75. Like AC off until you turn it on. Then took hours to cool down the room. Staff was not the most friendliest, but hey they got the job done. Overall it was just a solid night. ”

“You realize quickly the hotels around you have a lot more going on. If you plan to be out and about then this is the best place to stay. Location is excellent and staff were very friendly! Sound in front rooms could be challenging with the club and hotel adjacent are busy until the early morning. ”

“Although my stay this time was only overnight, I have stayed here previously and can highly recommend this Hotel. It is in an excellent situation and within easy reach of Scottsdale Old Town, Fashion Square, and the Phoenix/Scottsdale Metro Area. Although the Hotel offers breakfast and has a bar service it is in easy reach of the many restaurants in the area. The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable with a large sitting area and although It could be argued that the toilet is small you don’t spend all your time in the toilet, at least you shouldn’t.”

“Stayed in two different Casita King rooms on two separate nights. Both rooms were clean and very large. More like a studio apartment than a hotel room. Staff was very helpful. Subtracted one star on cleanliness due to old furniture and appliances stored in the tennis court out back. Really not a big issue since you only see it from the parking lot or if you peak out the back window. Just something they could improve. Subtracted one star on facilities due to no ice machines (you can get ice at the restaurant a short walk away) and no specials on breakfast or golf for guests that I could find, but honestly never asked the front desk so there may be some. Would definitely stay here again.”

“We love the Boulders. Best value for the money. Great couples place. Wonderful golf course. Rooms show a bit wear but not bad. Sliding doors to outside don’t slide well.....all tree years of stats. Some tiles/rocks in floors ate loose (every visit). Best to stay on Casita without room above you. Sometimes a bit noisy. Great food and service. Fantastic golf but not good golf carts until they replace them next year. Bug mistake yo. It carts made in Asia. Don’t hold up like E-Z Go carts. Batteries can’t handle the heat. Troon Nirth and”

“Booked a King standard room for our 10 year Anniversary. During check-in they mentioned our room was upgraded to a King Suite at no additional cost. The room was amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was in the middle of nowhere but that was a good thing when we wanted alone time. Casino was just down the hall from our room. Can't wait to book another stay.”

“Ive stayed a few times....I would say it is an at home atmosphere. The staff is very helpful if you need anything. The breakfast is not great unless you are just interested in coffee, fruit, boxed cereal...oh, they do have a waffle maker. Its not the "regular" morning breakfast you might find elsewhere. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.”

“The staff were wonderful, the rooms and facilities were great. It was my wife's birthday and everyone went out of their way to make sure it was memorable. Management sent a bottle of wine with a card signed by the staff to our room. We never left the hotel since everything we needed was available at the resort. The restaurant and bar had great food and drink specials, no need to go out. The grounds are beautiful and we felt like we were hundreds of miles away in an exotic place when we were only a few miles from our home. We will definitely be coming back every chance we can.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights. We came in very late the first night and got a king bed suite despite having reserved a 2 queen bed suite. The gal at the front desk was super accommodating though and told me to check in with her the next morning to see if a 2 queen bed suite became available. Well there was no need to follow up with her because she called me and let me know a room had opened up. Front desk staff was very sweet and helpful and did what they could. As for other aspects of the hotel, the beds were pretty comfy and it had what we needed. We were also very impressed with the complimentary breakfast which included 2 types of scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage links, waffles, and breakfast potatoes--in addition to the usual fare of cereal, coffee, juice, etc. The cleanliness left something to be desired though, particularly the pull out sofa bed and sheet it comes with. It was gross to say the least. Overall, if I'm staying in the area and want to save $, I'd stay again.”

“This is not a hip hotel. It's plain, but cheap. Don't expect much as far as amenities, but if you don't need a pool, gym, or spa, this will do. If you're in Scottsdale and hanging out at the hotel - well - that just kind of explains itself. The staff are friendly and facilitating, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. No major issues. I've stayed here dozens of times and haven't seen any bugs other than a non-native fly or two.”

This part of Mesa, Arizona is certainly not a tourist destination, however if you need to be in this area, this is a great value and I would definitely stay here again. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised that my room had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, and I took advantage of the jacuzzi and fitness room.”

“This property is a great value airport hotel with a free airport shuttle. One can see the airport tower nearby, however, on roads, it's probably a couple miles to the entrance of the airport, about 8 minutes or so. There are closer hotels, however, they seem to get seedier as one gets closer and I don't know their prices. I got an excellent, large well appointed room for $54, an incredible buy in PHX. The property had wonderful staff, an adequate breakfast, a nice pool, and the rooms have everything, fridge, microwave, AC, a large HD TV, radio, queen bed, iron and iron board, etc. They could have charged double! I highly recommend it. DRC”

“There were too many things not working in the room - window won’t open, door won’t close/lock, shower knob was too tight and was leaking. Hotel attendant had to come multiple times to fix problem which I think he was aware of. Then as we were sleeping, we smelled something coming from the vents. It smelled like marijuana from people upstsirs. That scared us and we stayed all night as we were scared.”

“This is a nice hotel and I love this location. I used to live in Phoenix so maybe I'm a bit biased as I've lived in that area. I was given an upgrade because as it turns out they needed to have a room available for a person with disabilities and since I had none, I was given an upgrade. It was a nice room, however, a bit dated. But still no complaints.”

“Had the absolute best time at the Saguaro. Loved the location, my room was clean and looked out over the pool, bright and fun decor, and the restaurant was fab. Our bartender Sasha was amazing and gave us lots of good suggestions for fun places to check out. Will for sure be staying here next time we are in Scottsdale. ”

“The part that took us by surprise - the price included breakfast - we called to check that it included for All of us 2 adults and kids as the website mentioned ‘max 1 adult’ - they confirmed it is a mistake and it was for All. At check in time we were told Breakfast was not included at all and they did not have any instructions until I showed them email confirmation. At which time Trish who was helping us check is said we will offer for only adults but the voucher she gave us was for 2 breakfast items for max $26 instead of 2 Adult Breakfast vouchers she also mentioned that the breakfast more than enough for 3+ which is very inappropriate to say and not honor what we had included with our stay. The manager across from check in was overhearing every thing but chose not to act. Quite unpleasant and unprofessional. After All this they were I interested in selling us time share at their property??? Please correct your website and make sure Property selected gets the right instructions.”

“We have stayed before with our children and loved it so much we came back for an anniversary trip! Within walking distance to the Chase Stadium, AMAZING restaurants, and all sorts of fun adult night life. Our particular view was lovely, mountains one direction, stadium the other. The staff was great. We enjoyed the fun social and complimentary hours on the 2nd floor. This has become our automatic place to stay.”

The only issue was that the windows are east facing and the window coverings were not room darkening, so our rooms lit up at 5 30 every morning!! The location was Great! “My stay at the Renaissance Hotel went well. There were some positives and few negatives listed below. Positives: 1). Hotel Staff were very professional, caring, and made you feel right at home in the hotel. Staff would greet you with a smile. 2). Variety of mini-shops within the hotel was great to have without having the need to go out and find places to get stuff. 3). The restaurant was beautiful, with a variety of food items to pick from their menu. 4). The hotel room was clean, beautiful, and had an outside balcony with chairs and table provided for a single room. 5). The other areas of the hotel such as the lobby, elevators, and floors were beautiful, clean, and spacious. Negatives: 1). Some of the music from Westgate would filter in where it could be hard for some sensitive to noise to sleep. 2). Small areas of the hotel needed stuff picked up from the floor that people would leave around. 3). Food is very pricey compared to other hotels. Overall was a great stay.”
