"We were only in Phuket for less than 24 hours, and decided on this large resort. We were happy to get into our room early, relax by the pool, and explore Patong Beach. The staff was so friendly, and the rooms were simple and comfortable, but the best part was the view!! We did not expect to have a full on view of the ocean, so it was a lovely surprise to see a balcony with a beautiful view of Patong Beach. We saw the most gorgeous sunset in Thailand from this balcony!! I absolutely loved the 2 pools (one with a waterslide), but the infinity pool is the real winner. With a swim up bar, and amazing views, it's the real star of this resort. I spent hours there in my less than 24 hour visit to Phuket, and don't regret it a minute! (Additional perk was that we had breakfast included, but were leaving around 6:30am, so they packed us our breakfast to go!). For a short stay, this is great!"

"This was our 2nd time with Amari. This time, with our parents, so we booked the 2 bedroom Suite. I had built a certain expectation based on our last experience--but some things have changed. Cons - The Suites are now located on a hill, constructed several years ago. They provide a buggy to take you there. These glass condo suites weren't built when we were there last time, so I wasn't expecting to be so distant from the pool and breakfast area. In fact, the location of our suite was further up the hill (several loops) making it way too far to walk down the lobby. This means relying all the time on the buggy. Not a big deal, since you just call and they come after 5 mins, but not the most convenient. Second, our suite was facing another suite's roof. So, all the effort to be high up on a hill, tucked in there, only to face the roof of another suite, after paying 'much more' was a bit frustrating. They did move us to another location the next day. So, that was nice. Pros - they are very attentive in addressing your needs. My husband pulled a muscle and needed a chiropractor on a Sunday, and one of the ladies in the Front desk was extremely accommodating and called several clinics and hospitals until we found one. They did relocate us to another room and provided an Anniversary cake for my parents. They were very generous with replacing the water bottles, fresh fruits, etc. The breakfast was expansive. Huge selection and the location of the breakfast area outdoors really makes you forget everything. It's serene, peaceful and just beautiful. I think it's the best property in Phuket, considering the island isn't really the most beautiful or romantic. It was a great way to end our trip in Thailand here, to relax, enjoy the neighboring islands, etc. My parents loved it, so that's the most important. If this is your 1st time in Phuket, it IS expensive...so bring some goodies from Bangkok. Rent a scooter...because Taxi drivers ask for ridiculous amount for such sh"

"When we drove up to this resort, I was thinking wow this is an amazing property, wish it's where we are staying. Then I saw the sign and we all got excited. It has some serious curb appeal. We drove up, parked our car and saw a lot of construction still going on. Security called for 2 golf carts to come down and pick up our luggage and the 3 of us. We took a steep and dangerous ride, passengers in the back need to hang on for dear life. The reception desk is located outdoors under some of the architecture. A pool wraps around the front of some of the pool access rooms. It's beautiful, but in an Ikea sort of way. Our room, the sea view room, while somewhat stylish looks great with a wonderful view but that's just the surface. If you stay in the room, you will find that there's only about 2 outlets inside and 1 outlet on the balcony. The wifi signal was a bit weak but I speedtested it and it measured in at 5Mb up and down. The finishes in the room are pretty low quality but I've found that with a lot of Phuket hotels. The restroom facilities are bad as they give you pretty much no privacy. I wouldn't recommend it for a family stay. With only 2 outlets, you have to plug in the hair dryer outside of the restroom area. The doors are glass and frosted in some parts but lend very little privacy. The toilet room is separated from the shower but the door only goes part way up letting every little noise you make out into the living space. Water pressure was low on the rainfall showerhead. The bathroom counter hardly had any usable space, you better learn to live tight. Beds are super firm. There wasn't much consideration with regard to safety so you better watch your kids. The ride up to the property was dangerous as is the property itself. Every doorway has a ledge so the moment you step out, you are falling down and you can really hurt yourself if you're not careful. The pool is amazing, views of 2 beaches and it has a bar area. Some rooms will have pool access at thei"

"Where to start? First and foremost the team was amazing. Helpful, friendly and took care of our every need from transport from in-resort tuktuk to check out We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights in a Pool Suite. The view was incredible! Best ever. Baba nest has the best view in Phuket period. DO reserve in advance though - was not informed of this by the hotel management until we arrived and they told us that it was fully booked for the entire time we were there (would've been nice if was informed beforehand) Food was also incredible at BABA SOUL FOOD - ate there 3 nights in a row! The chef there is really talented. Avoid Baba Chino though - took expensive and mediocre taste. Good job Sri Panwa team! Best villa experience ever. (We have stayed at The Shore Katathani before and this place beats that place flat) A must stay, worth every freakin baht. Oh and FREE MINIBAR WITH FREE BEER !(never heard of this before) --> amazing "

"We stayed at the Seaview Patong Hotel at the end of March 2010, this being our second visit to Patong Beach, we stayed at the Amari Coral Beach on our last visit. We deliberated long and hard before booking this hotel as having had a wonderful experience at the Amari on our last visit we did not want to spoil our memories of Phuket by staying in a lower class hotel that potentially would not deliver the level of comfort and service that we had experienced before. We were NOT disappointed and for good reason 1) The location of the hotel is just about right, at the end of the resort so reasonably quiet with no noisy bars around, but a good 10-15 min stroll along the beach front road to the centre where everthing happens. Yes you will get bugged by the chinese lantern sellers, the market stall holders and the tailors along the way but this all adds to the buzz of the place and you simply say "no thanks" and they move onto someone who is interested in buying the latest fake whatever you fancy. There is a great bar called Komma a minute down the road that serves the coldest beers you will ever taste and superb food for cheap as chips prices - heaven after a hot day! 2)Patong Beach - Don't come here if you are expecting Patong Beach to hanker back to the old days - this resort has everything you may possibly want in terms of food, drink and entertainment - you can do a quiet or lively night out here no problem, its all available with Irish Pubs Scruffy Murphy's and Molly Malones providing outstanding live music in air conditioned comfort - they are well worth a visit. 3) The hotel - we paid just over half the price of what it would have cost to return to the Amari but felt we received service and facilities on a par with the higher priced hotel. As the Seaview Patong was a smaller hotel there were less noisy families around the two beatiful pools. The hotel provides a towel service which means you don't have to bother to pack your own. The variety and quality a"

"We were welcomed by Viren and the rest of the staff. They made us feel very special and welcoming. The resort is out of this world. It is amazing. When it is finished it will be 7 stars. We were really lucky VIren gave us villa 1103 it's on the the highest point meaning extra privacy. My husband could sunbed nude on our private lounge area next to our private infinity pool. Yes private infinity pool overlooking the clearest water in Thailand. On the other side all you see is a natural tropical forest. It truly is a special place. The food was good, the best part was the breakfast. Simply divine and overlooking the beach what more could you ask for. Staff were always attentive and friendly. The manager of the resort introduced himself to us. And treated m husband to another cocktail because they used the wrong sugar in the first one. We were not omplaining the first cocktail was perfect but the manager wanted it to be right. So they go out of their way to help and make yor stay special . Happy hour was cheap and you can actually taste the ingredients and the alcohol. Another highlight was the spa. They have spa happy hour. Who is not going to take that up. My husband and I booked foot massages during happy hour we got free back massages. I was in heaven my therapist Sao was just wonderful, Andy had Pa or was it Sa, not sure of the name. But they really looked after us. I can not fault it. I would love to return in a couple of years when the deluxe suits are finished. Which leaves me to wonder how amazing they will be because the suits there now are out of this world. Perfect for romance. I miss it there. Forever in my thoughts. Only two cons, the hotel transfer only happens twice a day, that's not good enough. Also it is pricey, cheaper if you take the hotel transfer too. Second thing, Tiny lizards also love the villas. They are harmless and the resort is next to a tropical forest so it is expected I just hate them. My husband on the other hand loved them. "

"This is a great value for a resort hotel in Phuket. The location could not be any better with the beach, shopping and a quick walk to Banglor street for the part action. The down fall is the interaction with walking by the taylor shop to get to the lobby. The guy working the shop almost will pull you into the store time after time after saying your not interested for five days. Hotel needs to fix this. Other than this it is a great place to stay and I would stay here again."
