Andamantra Resort and Villa Phuket (SHA Plus+)
Patong,Phuket - View on map
"We were only in Phuket for less than 24 hours, and decided on this large resort. We were happy to get into our room early, relax by the pool, and explore Patong Beach. The staff was so friendly, and the rooms were simple and comfortable, but the best part was the view!! We did not expect to have a full on view of the ocean, so it was a lovely surprise to see a balcony with a beautiful view of Patong Beach. We saw the most gorgeous sunset in Thailand from this balcony!! I absolutely loved the 2 pools (one with a waterslide), but the infinity pool is the real winner. With a swim up bar, and amazing views, it's the real star of this resort. I spent hours there in my less than 24 hour visit to Phuket, and don't regret it a minute! (Additional perk was that we had breakfast included, but were leaving around 6:30am, so they packed us our breakfast to go!). For a short stay, this is great!"

Cassia Phuket (SHA Plus+)
Bang Thao,Phuket - View on map
"Our room is a 2-bedroom loft with water view, which offered gorgeous view overlooking lagoon and the ocean, especially during sunset. I however did not give 5-star for hotel location, because the beach is not outside of our door. Instead, to go to the beach, we need to walk about 5-10 min, depending on how fast we walk. The hotel did provide a shuttle boat there though, which ran from ~8 am - 8 pm. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. However, they were trying to get us to stay in other room type at first when we booked our room 3-4 months in advance, but essentially after persisting on staying in the type of the room we booked, they gave us the room. Some other minor drawbacks for the place: quite limited food for breakfast and the room was somewhat smaller than expected. Overall, I really love the hotel and Bangtao beach, which is most peaceful compared to other beaches in Phuket, and I would definitely come back."

The Marina Phuket Hotel (SHA Plus+)

"I liked this hotel as it was clean and comfortable, however i made an error on my arrival date when booking. After receiving conformation i realised my error, instead of arriving on the 29th i was actually arriving on the 30th. I immediately emailed the hotel explaining my mistake and they replied they would do their best to resolve the situation, however they could not make the changes although the booking was weeks away and i had to book another room for my last day of a 3 day stay. This was very disappointing to say the least and i personally feel not good for customer service."

Kalima Resort & Spa (SHA Plus+)
Patong,Phuket - View on map
"Kalima Resort & Spa (5 star) is definitely the best Resort in Patong, Phuket. We stayed in Phuket for 6 days. Booked 3 days at Kalima Resort & Spa and 3 days at SM Resort (3 star) which is nowhere close to Kalima Resort & Spa standards. We checked it at SM Resort on our 4th day and checked out after 1 hour of checking in. I requested for a refund via Agoda and they told me that it's possible but they will be charging a day charge and can only refund me for the rest of the 2 night stay and we agreed. So we decided to moved ourself to Blue Ocean Hotel (4 star). Still not up to standard but it's alright compared to SM Resort. Feeling exhausted, we decided to stay in for a night at Blue Ocean and get back to Kalima Resort & Spa. The next day we checked ourself in Kalima Resort & Spa feeling so relief. Staff welcomed us back nicely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Kalima Resort & Spa will definitely be the same Resort I will stay in the next time I'm here in Phuket. No doubt. Service is excellent. View is breath taking And lastly breakfast was awesome with perfect sea view. Living in the Kardashian life for sure "

Serenity Resort & Residences Phuket (SHA Plus+)
Rawai,Phuket - View on map
"Unbeatable 5 star resort on Phuket. Booked a 1 bedroom sea view, but upon arrival found out they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom penthouse. 150m2 appartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 60m2 rooftop balcony. State of the art equiped with 3 lcd tv's, and 4 airconditioning units. Swimming pool great and restaurant excellent as well. The restaurant is relatively expensive, but that seems to be the trend for hotel-restaurants everywhere in Thailand. 2 minor points of criticism: - Each bed had 4 pillows, but all are of the same type. Rather hard and thick, while feathered pillows should be the standard. - The sea on this side of Phuket is not really made for swimming. Sand is very coarse and water shallow up to 300 meters from the shore. Keep in mind that these minor downsides are close to neglectable. We spend 1 month in Thailand, and stayed exclusively in 5 star accomodations, of which none came close to the Serenity Resort"

Maya Phuket Airport Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Phuket Airport,Phuket - View on map
"Everything was great until we tried to book a taxi to the bus station. I asked for a taxi to phuket bus station terminal 2. the person behind the desk confirmed and said it would be 200 baht. i thought that was pretty cheap as grab was showing 650 baht so I asked again is that the price to go to phuket bus station, terminal 2? to which she said yes. the guy who was taking us in the taxi came and I asked him as well, to phuket bus station terminal 2 correct? and he said yes. 10 minutes later he tries to force us out of the car at a local bus stop that was 30 minutes from where we had to be. He told me I would have to catch the local bus to get there which ws ridiculous. It took about 10 minutes and I had to speak to his boss at the hotel several times on the phone to resolve. First they demaned I pay 550 baht more, which would make it 750 baht which is way more than the grab, so i said no and after a lot of back and forth, I had to pay 450 baht more making it the same as the grab."

The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa (SHA Plus+)
Patong,Phuket - View on map
"My wife & I were on our honeymooon. We first stayed at Royal Paradise in Phuket and then went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and stayed at another hotel. So we were able to compare the two hotels. By far, Royal Paradise was far superior to that other hotel in KL. The price difference was also rather stark. We paid a very low rate per night for Royal Paradise (a 4 star) and a rather high rate per night for that other hotel in KL ...also a 4 star. But the difference in room features & quality of furnishings was worlds apart. In other words, in case of Royal Paradise we got an excellent deal at a very low price. Hence we started missing our hotel in Phuket while staying in KL at the other hotel. If we make another trip to Phuket, we are quite likely to book with Royal Paradise as it's unlikely we would get such a deal & pleasant experience elsewhere."

Allamanda Laguna Phuket by RESAVA (SHA Certified)
Bang Thao,Phuket - View on map
"Upon arrival, we are met by the concierge staff was there to welcome us. The front-line staff greet us with a beautiful smile and they are very professional in handing of our request. We do not have any problem with our check-in. The housekeeping staff handle our rooms very well for our 4 days stay. We also like the mini-mart staff who has helped me in chasing the dog away as I am afraid of dogs. The cafe staff always greet us with a great smile. The cafe served a good spread of breakfast and we really enjoy the breakfast very much. Both my hubby and I will come to Best Western Allamanda Laguna Phuket Hotel in July 2010. Looking forward"

Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Bang Thao,Phuket - View on map
"This was my first visit to Phuket although I have a home in Thailand and am a regular visitor to other parts of the kingdom. I wanted a hotel away from the masses but, at the same time, we wanted somewhere near to "civilisation" for my visiting teenage children. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We priced up the cost of getting a limo from the hotel (1350 baht) against a taxi meter (350-500 baht) having read the reviews so it was a no brainer. The taxi meter stand is on the right on leaving Phuket airport. The hotels location is in the Laguna complex which houses 5 or 6 major hotels. Access to other hotels is via ferries or shuttle buses so transportation within the resorts is easy if you fancy a change of scenery. Outside of the complex are a number of restaurants, shops, spas and bars but it is no Patong Beach (although nor is it typically Thai). We booked Club Rooms which were spacious and fairly luxurious. A Club Room gives you breakfast, complimentary soft drinks from the mini bar as well as extras such as free cocktails at the bar between 6PM and 7PM. This proved a bonus and actually ended up saving us money so well worth it. On reading previous reviews, I noted comments about the price of food in the restaurants but, frankly, I feel that it is unrealistic to compare the prices in the hotels restaurants against, say, a restaurant in downtown Phuket. Its a bit like comparing prices for a meal in Southend to a meal in the Dorchester (sorry for non Brits reading that). You have booked into a quality resort so you expect to pay over the odds and I did not feel ripped off at paying less than £100 for 4 people to have a 3 course meal with wine and drinks in either the Italian (which by Thai standards was excellent) or the Thai restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience "

This venue boasts an Excellant restaurant that offers delicious Thai/English breakfast with lunch and dinner as well. The Shovel coffee shop is second to non. More about Phuket

Being one of Thailand's most famous islands, Phuket is positioned off the southern coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea, featuring the golden sands, calm blue waters, and coconut palms associated with the perfect tropical vacation. Phuket Town is the island's main commercial area, and accommodation in the city center is cheap.

Phuket's most popular resort area is Patong. Fully redeveloped after the 2004 tsunami, Patong's main roads are lined with restaurants, shops, and countless bars and clubs. The nightlife here is legendary in Asia, and many book a hotel in Patong just to experience its lively after-hours scene.

South of Patong Beach is Karon Beach – a much quieter town with shops, restaurants, and bars that cater specifically to tourists. Kamala also offers a good range of accommodation and infrastructure with resorts becoming progressively more upscale towards Bang Thao, Surin, and Pansea beaches.

On the other side of the Phuket lay the islands of Koh Yao Yai, Koh Yao Noi, and Nakha Yai. Resorts on these islands assure secluded beaches and high levels of service.

Phuket is served by Phuket International Airport, about a 45-minute drive from Patong Beach and Phuket Town.
