Crest Resort & Pool Villas (SHA Plus+)
Patong,Phuket - View on map
"When we drove up to this resort, I was thinking wow this is an amazing property, wish it's where we are staying. Then I saw the sign and we all got excited. It has some serious curb appeal. We drove up, parked our car and saw a lot of construction still going on. Security called for 2 golf carts to come down and pick up our luggage and the 3 of us. We took a steep and dangerous ride, passengers in the back need to hang on for dear life. The reception desk is located outdoors under some of the architecture. A pool wraps around the front of some of the pool access rooms. It's beautiful, but in an Ikea sort of way. Our room, the sea view room, while somewhat stylish looks great with a wonderful view but that's just the surface. If you stay in the room, you will find that there's only about 2 outlets inside and 1 outlet on the balcony. The wifi signal was a bit weak but I speedtested it and it measured in at 5Mb up and down. The finishes in the room are pretty low quality but I've found that with a lot of Phuket hotels. The restroom facilities are bad as they give you pretty much no privacy. I wouldn't recommend it for a family stay. With only 2 outlets, you have to plug in the hair dryer outside of the restroom area. The doors are glass and frosted in some parts but lend very little privacy. The toilet room is separated from the shower but the door only goes part way up letting every little noise you make out into the living space. Water pressure was low on the rainfall showerhead. The bathroom counter hardly had any usable space, you better learn to live tight. Beds are super firm. There wasn't much consideration with regard to safety so you better watch your kids. The ride up to the property was dangerous as is the property itself. Every doorway has a ledge so the moment you step out, you are falling down and you can really hurt yourself if you're not careful. The pool is amazing, views of 2 beaches and it has a bar area. Some rooms will have pool access at thei"

Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Bang Thao,Phuket - View on map
"This was my first visit to Phuket although I have a home in Thailand and am a regular visitor to other parts of the kingdom. I wanted a hotel away from the masses but, at the same time, we wanted somewhere near to "civilisation" for my visiting teenage children. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We priced up the cost of getting a limo from the hotel (1350 baht) against a taxi meter (350-500 baht) having read the reviews so it was a no brainer. The taxi meter stand is on the right on leaving Phuket airport. The hotels location is in the Laguna complex which houses 5 or 6 major hotels. Access to other hotels is via ferries or shuttle buses so transportation within the resorts is easy if you fancy a change of scenery. Outside of the complex are a number of restaurants, shops, spas and bars but it is no Patong Beach (although nor is it typically Thai). We booked Club Rooms which were spacious and fairly luxurious. A Club Room gives you breakfast, complimentary soft drinks from the mini bar as well as extras such as free cocktails at the bar between 6PM and 7PM. This proved a bonus and actually ended up saving us money so well worth it. On reading previous reviews, I noted comments about the price of food in the restaurants but, frankly, I feel that it is unrealistic to compare the prices in the hotels restaurants against, say, a restaurant in downtown Phuket. Its a bit like comparing prices for a meal in Southend to a meal in the Dorchester (sorry for non Brits reading that). You have booked into a quality resort so you expect to pay over the odds and I did not feel ripped off at paying less than £100 for 4 people to have a 3 course meal with wine and drinks in either the Italian (which by Thai standards was excellent) or the Thai restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience "

Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach Resort (SHA Plus+)
Naithon,Phuket - View on map
"I don't use to write often a review but this time I wanted to share with you our experience regarding our stay in this facility where I booked initially 2 days to stay but decided to extend to one week despite some negatives aspects described below: Let me start with the positive points: Wonderful hotel, wonderful view, extremely quiet, Incredibly clean, you feel yourself out of the world, the only sound you hear is the wave of the ocean, the sound of water falls everywhere around the hotel and the birds signing.. If you are in honeymoon or in romantic escape then it's the place where you need to be. Check-in is fast, welcome is warm, staff is friendly like everywhere in Thailand. Room are big, well equipped, decoration is ZEN_attitude style which is matching the spirit of the hotel. Mattress are new and comfortable, Nespresso machine with enough complimentary water. Rooms are spread around the facility and not in one building where you will cross all customers in corridors or elevators like in most of hotels or resorts, you feel yourself in pedestrian village within a tropical green and flowers. Most beautiful pool view in Phuket, fantastic Gym facility overlooking the bay… The breakfast is great with all kind of food, fruits and drinks are fresh, it is a lunch itself… We went to many places in Phuket but nothing could equal this Hotel in term of location, environment and services. Negative points: Fare from everywhere which is normal if we are looking for a quiet place. The most inconvenient point is the food, actually they have very limited choice of restaurants, only 2, one is open all day and second (the Italian restaurant) open only at lunch and dinner time and last order at 10h30 so if you are in the city and arrive late then the only choice is to have room service!!! If you stay more than 2 days then the food becomes a challenge as you will be almost eating same thing every day.. For the bar, it's really disappointing as they close at 11pm, incredible when "

Andaman White Beach Resort (SHA Plus+)
Naithon,Phuket - View on map
"The Andaman White Beach Hotel might be the best value for money hotel in Thailand but definately on Phuket! Beautifully laid out with lots of eye for detail, the Andaman White Beach has well appointed rooms overlooking a beautiful stretch of beach that is completely private due to its location between too hills. Comfortable rooms with even more comfortable beds with crisp, white, soft linnen bedding and orchid flowers everywhere. Bathrooms are large and most have an outdoor shower. There are several levels where the rooms are situated, from right on the beach with your own private pool, to higher levels on the hill with stunning views over the ocean. There is a lot of good food to be found at Andaman White Beach. From Pizza's from the lounge area, right on the beach, to authentic Thai food in the main restaurant overlooking theocean, the resort and the romanticly lit, large swimmingpool You can't go wrong here. This is one of the few places on earth I will come back to again and again. The staff is very helpful, from Mr. X, the breakfast chef that makes you deliciously fresh wafles or pancakes in the morning, to the front desk staff that can help you with trips and transportation. Andaman White Beach in Phuket is not to be missed if you go for some R&R in Thailand! "

SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort (SHA Plus+)
Mai Khao,Phuket - View on map
"We stayed at SALA as part of celebrating our anniversary. Phuket was last destination in our Thailand trip and we had inconvenient timings in terms of check and check out. Guess services were exceptional and they went great length to help us check in early and checkout late. The check-in process literally took 5 min including 2 min walk to the villa :) The villa probably has better privacy than any city apartment, resort design is seems to be mix of simplicity and elegance, yet it has all amenities you may need from a beachfront resort. We experienced exceptional service from every employee such as reception, restaurant etc. We are vegetarians and restaurant staff was prompt to identify that and provided a vegetarian menu. Food was tasteful and my favorite is their breakfast, pan cakes were absolute divine. We booked vehicle from resort to see different places in phuket and our trip came to a beautiful end because of this decision. Although resort may charge little higher price it is well worth to book from them. Firstly you have lot more security of your stuff in the car, our driver was very knowledgeable and they will be more than willing to help you since hotel reputation is at stake. Finally travelling by resort’s vehicles helped us to keep thugs away. Resort is at unexplored beach in phuket so do not expect sports activities or buzzing crowds or shops at this beach. This is best suitable for couples like us who wish to unwind and have peaceful romantic time. Enjoy there!! "

Kalima Resort & Spa (SHA Plus+)
Patong,Phuket - View on map
"Kalima Resort & Spa (5 star) is definitely the best Resort in Patong, Phuket. We stayed in Phuket for 6 days. Booked 3 days at Kalima Resort & Spa and 3 days at SM Resort (3 star) which is nowhere close to Kalima Resort & Spa standards. We checked it at SM Resort on our 4th day and checked out after 1 hour of checking in. I requested for a refund via Agoda and they told me that it's possible but they will be charging a day charge and can only refund me for the rest of the 2 night stay and we agreed. So we decided to moved ourself to Blue Ocean Hotel (4 star). Still not up to standard but it's alright compared to SM Resort. Feeling exhausted, we decided to stay in for a night at Blue Ocean and get back to Kalima Resort & Spa. The next day we checked ourself in Kalima Resort & Spa feeling so relief. Staff welcomed us back nicely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Kalima Resort & Spa will definitely be the same Resort I will stay in the next time I'm here in Phuket. No doubt. Service is excellent. View is breath taking And lastly breakfast was awesome with perfect sea view. Living in the Kardashian life for sure "

The SIS Kata Resort (SHA Plus+)
Kata,Phuket - View on map
"Being a self controlled freak I have very high standards when it comes to hotels and booking of them! #HotelSnob! My fiancé booked this hotel and my expectations were low. How I was wrong, very wrong The set up of the hotel architecture and design was lovely, super cool, super current, super fresh. The hotel was clean, the service was great, the pool was lovely, the food was good, the beds in the bedrooms were like fluffy clouds which take you away for a nice sleep and rest. I read previous comments regarding “The hill” as a curvy girl, yes the hill was a little nightmare to walk up but it’s less than 4 mins of energy which is super worth the safe heaven hotel. #Getsomeexercise! Would I stay again? YES! And I have already arrange for my friends to come to Phuket next April and we will book this hotel again. "

Cassia Phuket (SHA Plus+)
Bang Thao,Phuket - View on map
"Our room is a 2-bedroom loft with water view, which offered gorgeous view overlooking lagoon and the ocean, especially during sunset. I however did not give 5-star for hotel location, because the beach is not outside of our door. Instead, to go to the beach, we need to walk about 5-10 min, depending on how fast we walk. The hotel did provide a shuttle boat there though, which ran from ~8 am - 8 pm. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. However, they were trying to get us to stay in other room type at first when we booked our room 3-4 months in advance, but essentially after persisting on staying in the type of the room we booked, they gave us the room. Some other minor drawbacks for the place: quite limited food for breakfast and the room was somewhat smaller than expected. Overall, I really love the hotel and Bangtao beach, which is most peaceful compared to other beaches in Phuket, and I would definitely come back."

"this 3 star hotel gave us great pleasure when visiting phuket, very good location, you can walk to patong beach like 5-6 mins, and lots of local restaurants nearby, very cheap but the seafood is well cooked. the swimming pool is the highlight of the hotel, very nice to stay even for the whole afternoon, service is ok, and breakfast is good. generally speaking this is value for money, maybe not the best choice of phuket in general, but a really good one."

Burasari Phuket (SHA Plus+)
Patong,Phuket - View on map
"We had a wonderful time here in Patong thanks to the staff of Burasari. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Patong, Phuket. We actually booked two hotels in Phuket to see the different beaches but between Burasari and Sawasdee Village, Burasari won. The excellent services it provides, the wonderful staff, especially Oil our receptist was extremely accommodating. Burasari is a hotel that is centrally located, right next to Patong beach and very close to Bangla. It is very close to all the actions and yet a quiet oasis rest place to relax The best part of this whole experience is the fact that the staff made us feel very welcoming, they always have a great smile on their face when greeting the guests. Thank you Burasari for such a wonderful wonderful experience. We will definitely come back again. For those who needs a free airport transportation, you have to book it through their site to receive it. It cannot be a Agoda, Booking or any other affiliate sites. It cost 1,100 baht to go to the airport so roughly 35 dollars which is a reasonable price. "

More about Phuket

Being one of Thailand's most famous islands, Phuket is positioned off the southern coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea, featuring the golden sands, calm blue waters, and coconut palms associated with the perfect tropical vacation. Phuket Town is the island's main commercial area, and accommodation in the city center is cheap.

Phuket's most popular resort area is Patong. Fully redeveloped after the 2004 tsunami, Patong's main roads are lined with restaurants, shops, and countless bars and clubs. The nightlife here is legendary in Asia, and many book a hotel in Patong just to experience its lively after-hours scene.

South of Patong Beach is Karon Beach – a much quieter town with shops, restaurants, and bars that cater specifically to tourists. Kamala also offers a good range of accommodation and infrastructure with resorts becoming progressively more upscale towards Bang Thao, Surin, and Pansea beaches.

On the other side of the Phuket lay the islands of Koh Yao Yai, Koh Yao Noi, and Nakha Yai. Resorts on these islands assure secluded beaches and high levels of service.

Phuket is served by Phuket International Airport, about a 45-minute drive from Patong Beach and Phuket Town.
