Its a simple secluded fishing village, good to have transport around to make travelling easier. Not really recommend walking along the roadside as some of the areas they do not have pavements and may be dangerous to walk along the roadside.
Its a good place to just relax, enjoy the peace and scenery. Slow down your pace whilst at work.
Nice little town but some developed area near the beach with a stretch of food and cafes. The rest of the town is still rustic and less developed which has its unique feel.
nice idyllic town with a few nice beaches (which are crowded on weekends). The PD town nearby has good food ie KFC, Papa Rich, Taiwan and thai food as well.
The best attraction is the Ostrich farm though. There are so many animals you can get close and personal there...there are ostriches, donkey ride, ostrich ride, dogs, rabbits, iguana, goats and snakes. You can feed them or see them being fed. And the dogs are wild fun to be with ! Definitely a must go ! Bring insect repellent please - lots of mosquitoes.... And also you can get rides on the APV. And if you are game, you can eat ostrich meat as well.
Few extreme activities like ATV and Go Kart are available here. Beaches are just fair. A great weekend getaway if you are from Kuala Lumpur.
Its good to have some nice place for relaxation this is a small town were not so crowded. its doesnt offer much activities and is peaceful.
very run down. driving to port dickson i was very surprised to see so many unfinished and left hotels and condos that are just boarded up.
seamed like a ghost town. The water is brown and appeared polluted by the many ships that are in the sea. ok, the complexes have their own pools which families would enjoy, but i really would pass it by!
Basically the town is very small. No night life in the town. However, if you are seeking for relaxing of mind, PD would be a great choice.
just the beaches really. if you want the most out of PD, u need to stay in at least 4 star above hotels such as Thistle, Avillion, Lexus.
.anything below is really not worth the trip.
Nice town, good for family who wish to get away from large crowd. Easy drive up from Singapore. have car would be better to move around.
Port Dickson is a town by the sea side. If you driving to Port Dickson, you can enjoy the sea view stretching from Teluk Kemang town.
The town is full with families during weekends where they will drive down to have a relaxed weekend.I personally feel this town is ideal for group of friends who would like to have their own fun activities such a bachelor/hen's parties. There are many home stays/bungalows for rental specially for big groups to have their activities. These places normally comes with good rates. Also, it's a place where you can do beach activities also. Overall, you can spend a weekend of 2/3 days here while relaxing.
Nothing much has changed in Port Dickson since the last 20-30 years, except some up-coming development at the PD Waterfront area.
It can be considered a small quiet town and you won't get lost with its simple road map. Most of the beaches are either polluted or inaccessible (eroded & replaced with wave-breaker rocks). The only popular beach will be Teluk Kemang, but expect large crowd during the weekends or public holidays. Worth to visit the night market (Saturday) at Lukut and Teluk Kemang.
A nice place for good seafood. There are also a lot of nice hotels great for relaxation and good getaway from the bustling city.
3D art Gallery, rumah terbalik antara yg best utk dikunjungi. nak makan fresh seafood boleh pergi ke Medan Ikan Bakar MPPD.
Old town, combination of tourism and oil refinary and coal power plan. This two heavy industry make this town become worst.
It is the city where I attended school. Basically has remained same at the city center. Good for relaxation and the beach.
There really should be more options for economical food stalls / restaurant along the road especially near by the hotels.
I like PD because it has a lot of beaches. My only disappointment is many of the attractions lacked proper maintenance.
Its a sleepy town unless during the holidays. The beach is not comparable to other beaches in Penang or the East Coast.
During low tide its muddy and rocky. Otherwise, its a pleasant place to laze away a couple of days away from the big city.
Port Dickson, a place to go away from city-like busy life. Quiet and tranquil, you are bound to have good rest here.
My family has a great time in Port Dickson, we go to lighthouse, beach and local foods in Lukut and Port dickson.
Port Dickson provide many places to visit such as historical museum, restaurant and mostly interesting are beach.
There are many activities can be done in Port dicson such as water activities from kayaking, banana boat, jetski and etc.
Surrounding area need to be proper managed by local authorities to attract more poeples local and international.
Port Dickson has always been our favourite to enjoy the beach and food. We stayed here almost on yearly basis.
Uninteresting, Besides beach nothing much. Food so-so. Lots of abandoned projects - both hotels & residence.
No night life, even the pub at Thistle closed at 11.30 pm. More need to be done to help PD town to attract tourist.
No recommend to my siblings, bad food n no intertaiment..too expensive..no shuttle bus is provide..bad place
Port Dickson is a quiet town. One to two nights is sufficient. Not much a sightseeing place for visiting.
Be warned! Try avoid WEEKENDS in Port Dickson as there will be lots of people thronging in from outside PD especially from KL and nearby place such as Melaka.
I had been there since I was young, Port Dickson is a good place for family gathering and groups trip.
There are many beautiful scene at there and there are many delicious food at there. We enjoyed playing and living in the sea view hotel.
A place ideal for a short weekend gateway. Infrastructure has improved a lot since the past 5 years.
