Best hotels & accommodations in Portsmouth

Stayed twice on a recent visit to Portsmouth and although the staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel itself clean enough although very tired, it lacked a lot of facilities I would expect from a 3 1/2 star hotel. No free parking, no free wifi, no safe in room, no minibar, no aircon, no complimentary bottled water, no box of tissues in the room. The only really ...

i was staying here for 1 night during my way from london ahead to stonehenge and it worth my money staying in this hotel. the hotel stand in the middle of shopping place and just a short walk away you'll be able to shop many kind of stuff. many restaurant are provided in the area as well and chilling while overlooking the bay is such a good moment. worth staying hotel ...

great location which is a real selling point, especially with the attached car park for a small fee. This was an absolute lifesaver as parking in Portsmouth can be tricky. Room was small but perfect for our needs. Decent shower. Only negative was the noisy generator outside the window but that wasn't major. Definitely recommend.

We had an excellent two-night stay at the Hotel George in Portsmouth recently. The rooms are small but neatly kept. The English-style breakfast was quite ample and I liked the option of having my eggs poached. We were there for the Sunday Roast Dinner and it also was very filling. Of course, staying above an actual pub is both good and bad news. You can pop down for a ...

We arrived off the Caen ferry about 10pm and were met by the after hours staff and taken to a dettached cottage situated behind the pub. Our two bedroomed unit was upstairs, very quiet and tastefully decorated. The next morning the helpful lady on reception stored our luggage at reception, gave us directions to a lovely café for breakfast only 2 mins walk away. Later s...

Very handy location, just five minutes walk from Plymouth Harbour rail station, Portsmouth Historic Dockyards and ferries to Isle of Wight. Rooms and other facilities are comfortable and clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast offered plenty of food of reasonable quality. Overall, definitely recommended. Location makes it very suitable for ...

unfortunately we only stayed here one night after travelling back from spain. the hotel is in a very convenient location with secure parking adjacent (important if your car is full of stuff). the staff were very pleasant throughout.there are loads of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. the room we had (no 10) was very large, clean and comfortable with a nice lar...

Three of us stayed in a family room with bathroom. The rooms are white coloured, just like the name suggests. And they make them clean and cosy. 2km from the seaside(the outlets, the tower, the dockland). So you either walk for 20min or take a £5 taxi. We stayed for only one night and quite enjoyed it. It's a bit expensive, though.

Stopped over after disembarking from a European ferry before continuing our journey home to Glasgow. We just missed the restaurant but the 24 hour menu had some good light bites and bar meals. The bar was staffed until just after midnight and drinks could be enjoyed in the comfortable lounge area which was also dog friendly. The double rooms were probably the most spa...
