Queenstown hotels & accommodations

it is absolutely one of the most stunning hotels in queenstown. right on the lake with beautiful views. the breakfast is amazing, you can order freshly made coffee, tea and juice and any diy cooked breakfast included in the breakfast. the room has nice hot bath tub and fireplace, very cozy. water taxi is so cool costs return. the only disappointing thing is the recepti...

The Rees Hotel overlooks Lake Wakatipu and behind it the Remarkable Mountains. (That really is the name of the mountains, not my description of them). The hotel is quite new; our room was beautiful; and it had a fabulous view. The Rees was, by far, the best hotel in which we stayed on our 2.5-week trip to New Zealand. The hotel is about a five-minute drive from dow...

The Sherwood, Queenstown was our final destination of our driving holiday around the South Island and it was by far the nicest place we stayed. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed by the fact that the hotel had put considerable thought into the decor of the refurbishment which was a refreshing change compared to the other hotels we stayed in. The relaxing, '...

I can say that Villa del Lago is the best accommodation I had during my trip across New Zealand. The 2-bedrooms lake view villa was large, completed with living room, dining area, and kitchen as well. The unit is very nice and comfortable, the rooms are clean and spacious. And the view is simply stunning! We had an unobstructed view to the lake and mountains from our b...

Panama Apartments was awesome. The design and layout of this apartment is simply unique. The view out the large glass window of the Lake Wakatipu and the mountains were stunning. Everything you need in the kitchen is provided and if you want to, you can even bake in here. The apartment is about 10mins walk away from Queenstown Central. Recommended to walk as parking is...

We booked Marina Apartment due to its relatively cheap rate (around 50%). Upon arrival, we found it was stunning & really out of our expectation. The unit was spacious & tastefully furnished. Everything was in good condition. This beautiful unit is just by lake side & we could see the pretty snowy mountains around. Shopping centre is just within a few minutes driv...

our stay at peppers beacon hotel and queenstown were the highlights of our trip to new zealand, it was our first visit to new zealand and although we went during the rugby world cup to watch the rugby matches we were so glad we came to queenstown as well. as soon as we arrived we were immediately upgraded to an apartment with awesome views over the lake, it was breath...

We were so happy with our 6 day stay at The Glebe in January. We stayed in the studio room which was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had everything in our kitchen even a rice cooker! It was the best provisioned kitchenette we have ever stayed at. They provided you with an abundance of every amenity even down to the dish soap. The ladies who run this f...

The location was exactly how I like - not right in the city centre (no noise, no crowd, no pollution), but very close it. By very close, I mean easily walkable. There's a short cut to reach the centre centre by foot - which is uphill (only about 100 meters or so - the rest of the way is quite flat) when you go back to the hotel but almost all of New Zealand has big ups...

Firstly the units are very conveniently located within walking distance of the main town and Gondola . The units are quite small and very close together .Unfortunately it was unusually hot while we were there and the units are like little ovens..There is no air con ,which is common in New Zealand .The office did however rent out fans which was a lifesaver .You get 1GB...

The hotel was the perfect place for us to unwind after our activities in Queenstown. We stayed in the hotel for 3 days and the staff (reception was Adriana) was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was luxurious (as promised in the photos) and had a large tub for us to soak and unwind. There are comfortable seats by the TV and free DVDs should you require...

Really great location to get up the mountains for skiing or go exploring to Arrowtown but also still close to central Queenstown. Only a 5 minute drive from the airport so convenient to get to once you arrive. Having the washing machine and dryer was really great and they provided the washing liquid too. Having the full kitchenette was also fantastic as it meant we cou...

The heater in the room for cold days is not enough, need to ask for extra heater or electric blanket. We traveled I'm new Zealand from 5/17, I know most good quality accommodation can provide in the room(strong heater, air condition, or electric blanket). We are traveling with baby and our parents, we can't let our family have chance to get sick while sleeping. One of ...

I've stayed at a bunch of hotels in Queenstown (what's not to love about the place) and have stopped here twice - it's slightly dated yes but consistently good for the money. The town sits in a bowl around Lake Wakatipu, so is surrounded by hills and stunning mountainous terrain. This hotel is set back from the main road into town, up quite a steep hill - that's fine,...

we checked-in rydges queenstown after a 7 hr. long drive from christchurch. we had booked superior lakeview room and got to know that most of the rooms in the hotel are lakeview rooms. they initially gave us ground floor room but after requesting them they gave us best view room on 10th floor. as soon as we entered the room all our tiredness flew out of the balcony whe...

As our flight into Queenstown arrived early in the morning we transferred to this hotel expecting to just leave our bags and return later in the day. Upon arriving, the duty manager took it upon herself to liaise with housekeeping staff to have one of the two rooms we had booked ready for us within the hour. The duty manager took our mobile number and called us within ...

1)The staff we interacted with were lovely. To name a few Renin , Katalina , Michael and one lovely Finnish lady. 2) The lake facing rooms have a great view. 3) The breakfast was great. 4) Car park available. 5) Walking distance from the town center. 6) Very clean and lovely hotel. Overall probably has one of the best locations in Queenstown.

The room is spacious and feels very new and clean. Staff was very friendly during the check-in and advising on the check-out routine, as we will require the keycard for the carpark before checking out. There is underground hotel car park available. I'm not sure if it is a 1-1 ratio of parking lots to the hotel rooms, as the car park was full. Location is good, as it ...

We had a late check in, but the staff came to help us eventhough the office time has over. Our room was upgraded to the apartment next to the prime motel. It is located just across the lake wakatipu. Only 5 minutes light walk to the main attraction center & queenstown mall. Near to some restaurant & cafe. We were staying at the apartment with amazing view of lake wak...

From the moment I arrived at the Crowne Plaza I was welcomed and greeted by super friendly staff who would do anything to make your stay better. My room had a balcony with a lake view which was absolutely stunning, cold to go outside but for that view it was well worth it. Perfect if you wanted to get a few good photo snaps of Queenstown city (the higher the floor ...

Our stay at the Oaks Shores Hotel in Queenstown was in a 1 Bedroom apartment. The apartment were spacious and well appointed with all the amenities anyone would need. The location was quiet and pleasant and each apartment has great views of the lake. Although there was a slight mix up with our confirmed booking, the front desk staff resolved the issue promptly and e...

Been coming to Queenstown for nearly a decade and this accommodation for what you get and location was easily the best value for money. Friendly, unintrusive staff.....came back to a clean apartment every day after being up on the slopes. The location is only a few minutes walk into town and really close to a supermarket. I will most definitely be staying here again...

I spent 3 nights at the St. James Apartments. On entry I was a little concerned, the was vaccuming going on and few people getting in or out. Specially since it is not our standard reception area like big hotels, I was a little worried. Check in was easy headed to Room 307. Actually it was a suite, two huge beds, each equipped with shower etc, then the was the kitchen ...
Cheap places to stay in Queenstown

I was here for a week and it is by far the most clean hostel i’ve stayed and i love the heater and the location and the toilet for Haka Lodge. I was given room 12 and it is right next to the kitchen so banging and loud shoutings and chattings and laughter were heard till late night but it is a happy warm experience and i have no complaint for that because u sleep very ...

Not the first time I've stayed here but this time was great. There were 3 of us and we were given the house next to main building which had two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. It is basically in the middle of town. Couldn't have asked for better. Will always stay here, best value in Queenstown for anyone on a budget.

Just one of the Best hostels I have ever stayed at in my 5yrs of travel and especially for New Zealand, was very happy to see it really embrace the use of Te Reo Maori, Maori art and culture, as well as it's LGBTQ friendly sign out the front. The staff were very friendly and professional, and welcoming. They were also very helpful. The lounge is spacious, clean, well s...

Stayed here for my last few days in New Zealand. Wasn't expecting much, but boy I was wrong. The property itself seemed pretty shady since it's located quite to the depth of the area but hey, some effort goes a long way. Got ourselves some pretty neat individual cabin for 2 and was astonished with the facilities provided. It's a fully-equipped cabin with pantry, a ...
The Lodge is locate at a great local facing directly to the lake, it is close to CBD so is to travel about anywhere. The place is full of lives, the staffs are friendly and relaxes. Meet a lots of international travelers there. It surely gives me a great impression about Queenstown. I love that place and I will definitely go there again when I travel to Queenstown aga...

We had a pleasant stay at YHA. Their place is at the center of Queenstown and can be accessible by bus. All the famous restaurants including Fergburger are within reach. There are also a lot of activities nearby (skydiving, bungee, skyline, shotover, etc). Their shared kitchen has a nice view. Their wifi is fast as well. Their staff are very helpful as well. We just h...

We had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 night stay in Caples Court in beautiful Queenstown. Right from the start the staff were helpful and knowledgeable, answering all our queries as this was our first visit to Queenstown. The room was spacious, with separate bathroom, bedroom and living area. I was particularly impressed by the little touches such as the filter coffee and c...

We arrived early at the motel at around 12:30pm noon and was able to check-in early as our room was ready. Our unit was Studio Twin Room. We had to take a flight of stairs to our unit. Our unit as one queen bed and a single bed. Has a full equipped kitched. Room was great although a little bit too cold as there was only one heater in living room. There was no heater in...

The hotel is located in Arrowtown, some 10-15 minutes driving from Queenstown, this gives you 2 advantages: it is cheaper than accommodation in Queenstown and you get to see Arrowntown, which is an old gold mining town, it is small and cute :) The hotel is adjacent to a pub, so you need to check in at the pub, which is funny, but cool. When we arrived, there was a live...

It is equipped with kitchenette, room is clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony is amazing, over looking the snow capped mountain. Car park was sufficient, walking distance to Queenstown central. Helpful staff provide a lot of information on tour available to Milford sound as well as other attractions and activities available. Worth every cent spent! Had ...

We stayed in the Lake Facing Studio, and this hotel can brag itself for having one of the best views in Queenstown. Staff is friendly. Room is spacious and clean. Only thing is that the WiFi is limited to 500MB per person and you'd have to purchase for more.

It was located at very high point of Queenstown, surrounding by lots of hotels. Room was cleaned & well-prepared for us, with an unforgettable lake view. Breakfast was warm-served, with varieties like breads, oats, eggs, sausages & bacons etc. The host, a very friendly old uncle has guided us on our day trip to Wanaka & Glenorchy by marking down every single attraction...

This is the best I have stayed in among all other New Zealand lodges and hotels, even compared to Auckland's hotel. Classic design with very clean and comfortable room (I took the room with ensuite bathroom), my fiancee and myself thoroughly enjoyed this stay. There are 5 very friendly sheep which you can actually feed, as well as a very modern and amazing spa in the g...

I stayed at Hurleys of Queenstown for 8 nights and loved every second of it. It is located an ideal 10 minute walk from the Queenstown town centre. Rooms have been renovated recently so they look and feel new. Whilst there is a gym and sauna, unfortunately they have not been so recently refurbished.

We chose this hotel because it was good value for money and it was one of the few hotels in Queenstown that has a pool. The room was a good size with two double beds and a large en-suite. There was a nice pool however it was freezing and while we were there several people came and left without getting in. We didn't eat in the restaurant but they had a good menu and it ...

The Coronation Lodge was within walking distance to the city center. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to any needs you may have. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient. We had a great time here at Queenstown House and would love to return one day soon! My husband and I spent four wonderful days in Queenstown over the New Year’s holiday and stayed at the Alexis Motor Hotel. We selected this place based on outstanding reviews and it’s easy to see why everyone likes it. It’s located about a ten minute walk from the heart of Queenstown but enough outside the hustle and bustle that it’s very quiet at night (and this even ...

We stayed in a 2 bedrooms apartment. It was modern, clean, spacious and having a large balcony with spectacular view over the Queenstown. We enjoyed very much as we could have the marvellous view of overseeing the whole town and lake from the sofa in the living room, dining table or even the open kitchen when we were cooking! Actually everything was just great and very...

We loved these apartments. The facilities were excellent with a great kitchen and en suite bathrooms in both rooms. The view from our balcony was great at night and day. Whilst it was not cheap, it was quite good value for Queenstown. There are so many things to do around this area. You need to have plenty of time and money, as nothing is cheap!

We settled in for three nights in this motel and enjoyed it very much. We were actually upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment though we didn't need the second room and left it closed to save the heat--Queenstown was having a cold snap when we were there (early February). It was great to have the separate bedroom and living/dining room and the kitchenette was well equippe...

We have just got home from 7 nights in this hotel and it was fantastic. The location is great, very close to the centre of town and has beautiful views over the town, the lake and of course the Remarkables. We stayed in a balcony lake view room in the main lodge and I would say it is worth paying a little more for the views (with or without the balcony). The balcony ...

It was brilliant. The apartment was well equipped and really clean, really recommended for families with young and old kids. All the rooms are spacious, and the view from the balcony was just amazing!!! Awesome view of lake Wakatipu. Everything was good but I do have one complaint for the managing staff, its better to let people traveling from west coast to Queenstown ...

This hotel is beyond perfection.. i have come to visit south island of new zealand for it is well known for its beauty..and this hotel shows this new zealand reputation.. the view from our room was beautiful , facing the lake and snowy mountains.. and all the staff were friendly and helping me with everything needed.. and guess what? We had a fantastic stay at the Sofitel Queenstown, arriving there after 8 days driving from the north of New Zealand to the south. As we had stayed in various motels along the way, it was good to finally return to five star luxury accommodation. The Sofitel had everything we were looking for - luxuriously comfortable bed, modern design and lighting, and a great loc...

After travelling around the Otago region for a week, we decided to splurge on a more expensive option for our last two nights in Queenstown, and I'm so glad we did! Hotel St Moritz was such a beautiful spot to stay, and it was all the little details that made it so special. The hotel has two stunning hot tubs in a little garden with views of the mountains, which we m...

The Millbrook Resort is recommended highly. From the time we arrived, to the time we left, we had a great time. Rooms were spacious and the view of the mountains incredible. Our room had a king size bed which was really, really comfortable. Food on the resort is superb, but like most food in NZ, if you are an Australian, as I am, its quite expensive to our standard...

fanastic boutique hotel in queenstown. great hotel and one of the best hotels of our trip around the south island. the hosts are very knowledgable and make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. lovely rooms and loved the finishing touches, fudge on arrival and the canape drinks (which we were unfortunately unable to make). also good advice on resturants...

Its a wonderful experience stay there in De Lavender, compare to the high price of other hotels in Queenstown, I will definitely choose this one again. Its just 2-3mins walk to the bus stop as I didn't hire a car. The most impressive thing is the amazing million dollars lake view, from anywhere in the house--spacious Living area, awesome kitchen, lovely bedroom and ...

Down a quiet tranquil road 7km from Queenstown, this place really was heaven on earth! The Remarkables on one side and coronet peak on the other, it had views that were out of this world. Perfect location, amazing views and scenery, great ambiance, has all that one may not even ask for, a great collection of music with surround speakers and a wonderful fireplace with snow capped mountains in the background.. people go back smiling from here .. just brilliant!!

We booked 2 nights at Stoneridge, including the Trust the Chef dinner. The property is absolutely beautiful. We can certainly see why it is popular for weddings and honeymoons. A lot of thought and care has been put into the impressive gardens and design elements. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, as the dinner was one of the highlights of o...

We booked this place since there were no vacancy at other motels/hotels in Queenstown. It's located in the middle of nowhere (20 minutes' drive to Queenstown). Pros: The room/facilities/views are really nice. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a good meal. The living room has great entertainment features (big flat screen TV connect with a computer, video ga...

Safe city on the lake very beautiful with plenty to see and do for all ages and easy to get around very step
What a peaceful and lovely town . Dont miss to hop on a quiet cruise through nearly milford sound and you will amazed by the beautiful and stunning scenery.
This town is like none other in NZ! The adventure sports capital of the world that can only be compared to Whistler in Canada.
We have travelled to Queenstown NZ to ski three times now with our young family and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time.
Beautiful place to visit, breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables from the city centre.
Have been to visit many time and love it each time we return. Million Dollar cruise on the lake was a standout this trip, brilliant!
Truly amazing place, would move there in a heartbeat, if it wasn't the opposite direction to Europe. The jet boat was great.
Queenstown is surrounded by stunning mountains and landscapes. When the summer kicks in and the days are long, you can head out on an excursion and still come back with plenty of time to explore Queenstown and its offerings.
A spectacular destination with lots to do/experience. Good food and beautiful scenery with all types of leisure activities, from extreme sport to relaxing boat trips.
This was the highlight of our trip to NZ. There is so much to do in Queenstown. The ONLY drawback is that it is so expensive to do all of the activities offered.
What's not to love about a town built in an almost magical location? We didn't have one poor meal in the three days we were there.
It's such a beautiful city. Awesome view and relax. Highly recommend to stay more than 3 nights and sightseeing the places around such as Milford sound and Arrow Town etc.
The 'Adventure capital of the world' they say, and in every respect that statement is true. Be prepared for a huge range of activities.
Queenstown is a picturesque NZ city with activities in winter and summer from tours with a fee to lovely walks.
Queenstown is so beautiful i will recommend those who visit new zealand to spend at least 3 nights. It's relaxing with breath taking scenery, exciting activities and loads of activities and sightseeing spots.
Queenstown is fantastic - no wonder people enjoy coming to this town at the bottom of the world. Skiing is accessible within 20 minutes of the town, with no need to bring any gear (everything is rentable).
This town is too cute! Everything you need condensed within an a jaw dropping ring of mountains..Chilled, even when not chilly Cool
Never miss the Helicopter ride, shotover jet ride, river trekking aboard the safaris jeep. skyline gondola with buffet, Gibbston Valley wine tasting and fine dining, Gantleys 6-course menu, luge ride and a lot more.
The town has both combination of shopping and relaxing type facilities. Queenstown has two small casinos for those who wishes to try their luck, ample of shops for souvenirs.
I was just awed by the magnificent beauty of Queenstown! The mountains and lakes and the little shops, everything was just excellent, I enjoyed my time there, and wish I could stay longer.
The Queenstown is the best town in south Island which I can say must visit. Very beautiful Wakatipu lake surrounded Queenstown, tons of outdoor activities available.
AMAZING SCENERY, VIEWS ARE SPECTAULR THERES SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO BETWEEN ADVENTURE SPORTS AND SKIING SNOWBOARDING THIS CITY HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
