"this hotel is great. it has the best heater from all other hostels when i stayed at new zealand. i stayed in the four ensuite female dorm. the room is large and sufficient for four people. the shower and toilet is separated. there is a balcony where we can hang our laundries. there is a 24h groceries store near by. it so close to the lake and to anywhere else. the internet connection is affordable and fast. the receptionists are friendly and very helpful. there is also a tour advisor in case we get confused on where to go. however, it can be a little bit noisy. the guests chat aloud in the balcony. the kitchen is too crowded and i never got to have the free dinner since it was on first come first serve basis and the food was not sufficient for all of us. "it is absolutely one of the most stunning hotels in queenstown. right on the lake with beautiful views. the breakfast is amazing, you can order freshly made coffee, tea and juice and any diy cooked breakfast included in the breakfast. the room has nice hot bath tub and fireplace, very cozy. water taxi is so cool costs return. the only disappointing thing is the receptionist during the day is not very helpful. the check-in is 3 o'clock, so if you arrive early, you will have to find somewhere to kill the time although there are a few bars and cafe. it is definitely the best spot in queenstown, right on the lake. overall, we love the stay at hilton "

"Stayed here for my last few days in New Zealand. Wasn't expecting much, but boy I was wrong. The property itself seemed pretty shady since it's located quite to the depth of the area but hey, some effort goes a long way. Got ourselves some pretty neat individual cabin for 2 and was astonished with the facilities provided. It's a fully-equipped cabin with pantry, a wardrobe, neat toilet and spacious room. It is fully maintained at its best and the cleanliness deserves a mention. Great stay and would love to stay here again for future Queenstown visit. P/s: ask the staff at reception for any help including helping you book any of your activities of choice."

"My 7th visit to Queenstown and the best accommodation I have had there, at a fraction of the price I've paid elsewhere. The location was superb, the room was great and very well appointed and very quiet, and I got upgraded. The staff felt like friends after a very short time. The continental breakfast was a great free inclusion and the free, very fast unlimited wifi was the best I have come across. I would definitely stay there again and I had a fantastic 7 nights - thanks to Cis, Caroline and Suzy. Cheers, Graham. "

"The Coronation Lodge was within walking distance to the city center. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to any needs you may have. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient. There is even a clothesline in the back to save energy use. The room and ensuite were clean and the bed was comfortable. The Lodge strongly encourages and follows through with their commitment to be "green" and conserve water and recycle. We checked out the day we left for an overnight cruise on Milford Sound and the staff gladly stored our luggage until we returned the next day. They even called ahead to our next destination to informed them we were just leaving Queenstown and would arrive later than expected to check-in. We would highly recommend staying at the Coronation Lodge when visiting Queenstown."

"I've stayed at a bunch of hotels in Queenstown (what's not to love about the place) and have stopped here twice - it's slightly dated yes but consistently good for the money. The town sits in a bowl around Lake Wakatipu, so is surrounded by hills and stunning mountainous terrain. This hotel is set back from the main road into town, up quite a steep hill - that's fine, just take it steady. However, it's only 300m to the CBD (top of town mall) and 500m to the lake beach. You can't beat the combination of location and view, except from the 5* hotels on the front or the Esplanade. The rooms are quite spacious, have everything you need: a comfortable bed, good TV, chairs, tea/coffee selection, fridge/minibar (fairly priced), storage and good sized bathroom - I'll add that the shower in my room was one of the most powerful I've had anywhere (bliss)! Bonuses include a small balcony to sit and drink in the local wines and views; further enhanced from an upstairs unit. Would return again."

"I stayed at Hurleys of Queenstown for 8 nights and loved every second of it. It is located an ideal 10 minute walk from the Queenstown town centre. Rooms have been renovated recently so they look and feel new. Whilst there is a gym and sauna, unfortunately they have not been so recently refurbished."
