Best hotels & accommodations in Rancho Cordova (CA)

Vagabond Rancho Cordova is a nice hotel situated literally right off the Freeway. We found the location right for our needs, between Gold Country and the Capital. The area around the hotel is good too allowing for parking of larger vehicles and breakfast restaurant nearby. The rooms are comfortable and internet was free.

The rooms were very spacious. The bed is comfortable but the pillows are too floppy/soft. There aren't many channels available but you can rent movies ($9-22). The breakfast is decent, hot and cold items available. Starbucks coffee is available ($) but they also have free coffee.

While this isn't the fanciest of hotels, it is reasonably priced and has many aspects above typical hotels in this price range. The room was really nice, breakfast offered a good variety, and the staff was very kind and helpful. A few things could have been a bit cleaner, such as dusting the tops of stuff like the TV in the room or the AC needing a bit of Lysol sprayed...

The room was really nice, breakfast offered a good variety, and the staff was very kind and helpful. A few things could have been a bit cleaner, such as dusting the tops of stuff like the TV in the room or the AC needing a bit of Lysol sprayed through it (had a smell), but for the important stuff, like getting a nice quiet night's sleep with parking close by and an eager-to-please staff, this hotel doesn't disappoint. It's also very accessible while not being close enough to the freeway to have noise issues.

my folks used to live in Rancho Cordova and I stayed here all the time when visiting them. Never again. The last time was nearly two years ago and it's gone way downhill. I had to change rooms cause the smell was so awful ; hard to say if cigarette smoke or just really cheap cleaning supplies. The second one smelled of dirty sink plumbing so I stayed as it was lat...

I had to change rooms cause the smell was so awful ; hard to say if cigarette smoke or just really cheap cleaning supplies. The second one smelled of dirty sink plumbing so I stayed as it was late, the place was full and it was the lesser of the two evils. They removed the smaller amenities like no wrack to put your suitcase on so it needs to on the floor. There was some unspeakable smudge on the floor below the desk. And no trash can in the bathroom. Noisy neighbors from every direction including a bunch of guests who congregated on the terrace outside my room for a lengthy talk at 1am. I would sooner sleep in my car if there were no rooms in the neighborhood. The Starbucks in the back parking lot the only plus

The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was ok. The beds were comfortable. That's always a plus. The TV is too small for the room and poorly placed if you have the bed by the window. We had 2 air conditioning units in the room. One didn't work at all (probably an old unit that hadn't been removed) and the other one didn't cool down the room much. The carpet fe...

The carpet felt as if it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time and was super lumpy everywhere. The restaurant on site is absolute crap. The waitress was incredibly rude. We almost left based on that factor, but we were so tired from our long drive, we decided to try it. The food was so disgusting. The oil that the chicken was cooked in, tasted old. Everything besides the fries were gross. 2 out of the 3 of us ended up sick to our stomachs after eating. That was fun. Overall, we would stay here again. We just won't eat there.
