The B Ranong Trend Hotel (SHA Extra Plus)
Ranong City Center,Ranong - View on map
"I've heard many of the hotels in Ranong aren't as they are described. So our expectations weren't too high. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Cool hotel, nicely designed, functional rooms, decent restaurant and EXCELLENT value. A few reviews we read criticized the breakfast, yes it was simple but totally adequate. Travellers who are expecting more really need to try a different country or spend 5 times the amount on accommodation... thoroughly recommended. (PS: skip Rahsawarin springs and head to Porn Rang springs, much nicer)"

"Value for money, you can’t beat this hotel in Ranong. Smack in the middle of the city. Small pools, breakfast OK, approx 20 cars parking lot. The rest are old and run down. This place is quite new and minimalist. If you want to have a pit stop for your road trip down south, this is it."

The Hidden Resort & Restaurant (SHA Extra Plus)
Ranong City Center,Ranong - View on map
"Having booked my self into a 4 star beach resort for a few days to only find out that it was a dump and no were near a beach just a dirty noisy river. I was extremely relieved to move and spend the rest of my trip at the hidden resort. It definitely was more than I expected and I would highly recommend it. I can honestly say it has to be the best hotel in Ranong. It is in a quite rural location with beautiful gardens near a small river. The food is fantastic and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. "

The Farm House Hotel

"It’s been our first time in Ranong. We flew from Bangkok and rented a car from Ranong airport. The hotel is located in city center and close to tourist attractions. It took only 25 minutes driving from the airport. The hotel’s staff was soooo lovely and friendly. I stayed in Tripple room for 2 nights and it was value-for-money. What I loved the most is breakfast (yes, it’s free!) Breakfast was very very good and delicious. There are many kinds of Thai food (esp. authentic southern food). We can say that we love this place! Next time we go to Ranong, we will definitely go back to this hotel!! "

The Iconic Hotel

"I was very impressed upon arrival. We arrived after a long day. The sweet woman at reception was so kind and helpful in getting us settled in and making us feel at home. The lobby area is beautiful and there is a small cafe with a sitting area where you can relax. The sweet staff at the front desk inquired about our plans. I am glad she did because she helped coordinate transportation and gave recommendations for the area and suggestions for our next destination. The hotel is a few minutes walk from, eateries, food stalls and 7-11 so finding something to eat was easy Breafast was tasty. The coffee drinks are really good and the barista really knows how to impress. My latte had beautifully decorated foam on top. The room was very clean, had everything we needed and most importantly, comfortable after a long work and travel day. Thank you so much for the hospitality! I plan to return for my next trip to Ranong. "

Thansila Resort

"I booked this accomodation because of the fantastic location right between the football stadium and the hot springs, because these places were my main attractions during the stay. Both attractions are reachable within maximum 10 minutes walking. From 5-10 minutes away you have also a 7-Eleven and different restaurants. At the hotel you have also a small nice café where you get a 10 THB-discount as a guest. The street going to the hotel is very quiet, so you van calm down if your neighbours are not too loud. The thin walls and the sometimes downbreaking internet connection were the only 2 negative things. "

More about Ranong

This small border town on the edge of the Thailand is a quiet city that has maintained its uniquely Thai character. With the beach being within walking distance of the city center, visitors to Ranong will find it to be the perfect destination for a quiet vacation. The city is served by the small but busy Ranong Airport, which hosts flights from budget and regional carriers from Bangkok.

One of the most popular activities in Ranong is visiting hot springs, of which this city has plenty. The popular Raksa Warin Hot Springs is located right in the Ranong city center, within easy reach of a large cluster of hotels and resorts in the area.

When not relaxing at the beach or enjoying the hot springs, get some historical perspective on this side of Thailand by visiting Nai Khai Ranong, a historical center dedicated to King Rama V. The building is full of old photographs and memorabilia commemorating the king and his times, and usually there are guides who’ll take tourists around the building and explain, although an English speaking guide is best arranged through one’s hotel. Hotels in Ranong often have staff that are accustomed to foreign tourists visiting the city either while passing through to Myanmar or just taking a quiet vacation, so they’re often a great resource for information on what to do and what to see.

There’s a lot more to see and do in Ranong, and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
