Discover the neighborhoods of Raub

Located in Malaysia’s state of Pahang, Raub is one of the oldest towns in the country. Raub is full of many natural attractions, and its colonial past has left behind some of the unique architecture in the western-style buildings. The small town is a great place in which to experience some of the local culture and regular life in Malaysia.

The best way to access the town is by car, along the federal route that runs along Bentong and Kota Bharu. It’s also possible to take a bus from major and neighboring cities, especially easy from the popular hill resort area of Fraser’s Hill. Fraser’s Hill is just a few kilometers from the center of Raub, and as a popular resort area with a long colonial past, it’s also where some of the exclusive resort-style accommodations are concentrated.

Among white-water rafting enthusiasts, Jeram Basu Rapids is a very popular attraction and is located less than a half-hour outside of Raub. The rapids are some of the most challenging courses in the country, so it’s certainly not for beginners, but there are many other waterfalls and lazy rivers for the casual adventurists.

This unique and historic town has a lot to offer to each visitor, and the best way to see what else Raub has in terms attractions, landmarks, and hotels is exploring the interactive map on this page.
