Where to stay in Saint Lucia Estuary
Saint Lucia Estuary hotels & accommodations

We (my girlfriend & me) stayed for 4 nights At Maputaland. We initially planned for 2 nights but then stayed longer because it was so wonderful. Jörg and Gisela are very caring hosts. We were supplied with a cooling Box, snorkeling gear and other beach equipment during our stay (free of charge). The room was spacious, clean and safe with an aircondition. Thanks to a g...

Received by a very friendly Bianca. Received an upgrade as the cottage was available. The cottage is well equipped with EVERYTHING one needs, spacious & comfortable. It also has a private bbq area & a front garden. I would certainly recommend Little Eden.

We stayed for 3 nights as part of a self arranged tour of NE South Africa. Olga greeted us and arranged an estuary cruise on our second day along with some restaurant recommendations for evening meals. Facilities were very good and the breakfast most enjoyable. No hesitation to recommend to others.

Don't look anywhere else, stay here, it's one of the best for the money I've ever stayed in all my 8years continuous travel around the world. Top tip, do as many safari tours as you can. On one of ours to Hluhluwe we saw around 100 elephants, 10 rhino plus all the other wonderful wildlife one would expect of South Africa, even saw a puff adder. St Lucia is a gem. Excel...

The bathroom was a bit gross. When you showered the water filled up the tray to overflowing. The toilet dribbled water and the pipes were noisy. There was no iron and on asking was told they would get one, but didn't. The dish for the oven was very small. Not big enough to cook two chops. The stove was unstable and moved around the floor. When opening the oven the stov...

We were looking forward to our stay in the tented camp. But unfortunately it appeared to be our worsed stay in South Africa.... The tents have just 10 cm space inbetween. There are two kitchen areas (nicly equiped) but from 6.30 in the morning there is a lot of noise, also from a TV with childrenprograms. Just next to the tents there are some restaurants so you hear th...

St Lucia is a fantastic little coastal resort with a lot to offer. Ndola lodge is one of many band bs in the area , but what stands out is the view from the honesty bar, yes that's right , honesty. You look out over the dunes of St Lucia which are only rivalled by Fraser Island in Australia. Breakfast caters for all tastes with the lodge staff awaiting your every whim...

They were so accommodating and insisted on cooking us breakfast when we got back from a whale watching trip even although everything had been cleared away. The rooms were so beautifully decorated and quite luxurious with an amazing bathtub(we didn't use it because of the drought). Will definitely return 👍😊🇿🇦🐊

The hotel is in the center but the condition of the fornitures and cleaning are poor. Swimming pool is not accessible since it does not get cleaned and dead insects are on it. We got a spacious ensuite honeymoon room. They could improve easily making sure that blankets and towels are clean and use some powerful product to wash toilets and floor. Breakfast is very good ...

We stayed for two nights in the Zebra room. All rooms are associated with an animal and a lot of details in the room also relates to the animal. The breakfast was good and we got a lot of tips and even help with some trouble with our car. PS. Book the Dolphin room for a jacuzzi in the room.

Stay was very pleasant in a great setting with a pool and decking area to relax and unwind. Filled with wonderful trees and plants. Breakfast was excellent. Well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Don't leave any windows open as you may get a visitor from the trees.Monkeys!!

Real reviews for hotels
When you visit the place ensure to go for a boat cruise to the lake when you can see hippos and crocodiles in the river up close and personal and make sure you also go to the Hluhluwe game reserve.
That's the city where hippos walking on the street at night! The surranding beaches offer not only fantastic scenery but possibility for fishing and horseriding.
