Best hotels & accommodations in Saint-Malo

The young lady at the reception desk was attentive. Her English was very good and I just loved her French accent. We booked a bigger room with sea view, but the room they gave me was a smaller one with no view. I only found this out after I got to the room. So it took a while to go back down to the lobby to explain it, change the room, move the luggage to a different w...

I love St Malo but my usual hotel was fully booked so I tried the Hotel De La Cite. Friendly reception staff on check in and a lift is provided. The room it self was clean if a bit compact, it had a balcony with a pretty view, the bathroom also small but again clean. The downsides for me where that there was no overhead light in the room, only table lamps, meani...

We stayed 1 night here and did a late check-in. The rooms seems very new, in fact the entire hotel seems very recent, either it is new or they entirely renovated it not long ago. The rooms are not huge but big enough. Every single aspect of our stay was decent and we would definitely consider coming back again if we are in Saint-Malo. Props to the very nice staff.

It was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Normandy/Brittany. Lovely modern rooms furnished with new and top-end designer appliances, warm and tasetful designs with attention to details. Wonderful owner who manned the reception and was extremely warm and friendly. Located within 10 mins walk of the Saint Malo city. 1 mins away from the beachfront and quai.

Not the best hotel for the Solo Traveller, The double bed is a pull out sofa which wasn't very comfortable. I had to pay for towels (6Eu for one) and internet access and the walls are very thin. Had to listen to my neighbours talk late into the night. The Reception is only manned for a few hours a day and got charged a "tourist tax" when I checked in.

Small hotel not far from the train station on the main street. Around 900 meters. Easy to find. A small supermarket not far from the hotel. There is no lift and stairs quite narrow. We stayed in room for 4 people. Room is ok. Not too small. Quite clean and not too old. Not enough clothes hangers. Bathroom is ok, too. Clean but the shower room is a bit small. Ok for the...

The hotel had nice contemporary decor and we were made to feel instantly welcome by well spoken staff. our room was comfortable but we could hear any small conversation or noise outside in the square so did not really sleep well. Would recommend for a short visit as it is well located within the walled city.

It was ok. But the breakfast was extremely poor especially when you pay 20€ a person for a cold bacon and scrambled eggs. No vegetables at breakfast and very bread oriented. The rooms where ok but a bit standardized for a 5*****. Not unhappy with the whole experience but not happy either...

This was among the best places we stayed during our month in France. We felt very welcome right away. The location is great as we walked to the old city and hosts recommended some great restaurants. Free parking on site and coin laundry around the corner. Recommend the breakfast. Highly recommended to stay.

Very friendly owners. Great location within city walls. Parked our car in their small garage for 16 euro a day, make sure to let them know ahead of time if you need a parking spot. Didn’t try their breakfast, preferred to check out local boulangerie right around the corner from hotel.

I am Hotel Manager in Jersey, I would never sell this bedroom as a double, too small for the price I had paid, too small bathroom (without bathtub) for a 3 stars hotel not good enough, the staff was very friendly and the hotel is in a good location. I don't think I will be back.

As others have said, a bit dated, but functional, quiet and friendly staff. We left our car in the car park, and caught a bus into town ( 3 Euros return) which was easy. We ate out at a Dominos Pizza on the same industrial estate which we would very recommend!

Great location along the seafront, just 15 mins walk from the walled city of St-Malo. Rooms are not spacious but the bathroom for our triple room was huge. Stayed 2 nights without any problems. Beds were good, clean & comfortable. Great views while taking breakfast although the food itself could be much improved. Overall a good stay, and good value for such a popular t...

Hotel was good, staff was helpful. Even had BBC for English speakers. Only downside was that there was no parking so we had to park outside the walls. It was a holiday weekend when we went so it took about 30 minutes before we could get in one of the public lots. Good news was that 24 hour parking was relatively inexpensive.

The stay was for three nights and it was just right. Liked the midday checkout time and when we arrived early our room was ready. Super beach front location. Straight in from the beach to your room. Lovely views. Didn't try the breakfast as I think 11 euros is too expensive. Lots of other options and St Malo centre only 20 min walk away. Good value 3 star hotel.

The hotel is located in the center of the old town, 10min from the bus station, and 5min to the cathedral. When we arrived at 15:00, the entrance of the hotel was closed, and we had to wait an hour to check in. Maybe because it was Monday during the low-season. The room is small but had free wifi. For this price, I think it was decent.

The Chateau Le Colombier is a pleasure to visit to visit and even more a pleasure to stay in. Though the chateau initially is somewhat difficult to find, the hospitality is instantaneous upon a guest's arrival. Guests are made to feel at home and they have the run of the chateau and the grounds. The owner/manager is always available and is rich with information abo...

just needed a place to sleep and this was only available room for normal price. Good is that location is in the center of old city. bad point is street is very noisy till very earlier night/morning. below there is a bar... so do not forget to bring earplugs (it helped me) or go to bar)) the room is small and simply, but it normal for this style. Basically I liked it.

Very modern and clean nice rooms very comfortable. City view not a view of st Malo city! Air con u/s first room and 2nd room. Marine - staff - tried her best but was defeated and wasn't exactly supported by the maintenance people. However after some communications with the management we are being refunded one of the two rooms booked with an offer of a future discounted...

This place is very basic. Everything is clean and in good condition. I travelled alone for 3 nights and only made a booking on the day I left. It claims to be a room for 2 but would be very small. Just about adequate for one. Bed is a single sofa with a 2nd single that pulls out from underneath. Double bed is not possible. You have to make the bed yourself. If you want...
