"The Hawthorne enjoys a perfect location right in the heart of Salem. Museums, shopping, and dining are all within easy walking distance. The lobby was sumptuously decorated, I'd love to see it during the holidays. Our room was quite small, literally not enough floor space to use the suitcase stand. And while there wasn't in-room coffee, the window curtains sufficiently blocked out much of the light for those who like to sleep in. The staff, on both check-in and check-out were friendly and professional. "
