"Nice room. Clean, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. I was flabbergasted however that only one bar of soap was provided, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Normally there is at least one for the sink and one for the tub. This time there was only one that had to be used for both. Also, no water cups in room."

"The highly affordable price is icing on the cake for a hotel that is one of our favorite places to stay in SLC. We can always say we experienced the biggest earthquake that Utah has had in 28 years , enjoying the plush king size bed at the Metropolitan. Running out the door as fast as we could followed seconds later. We're still in the same room right now."

"We booked this hotel because it had a 4 star rating and it was a good price. It was not 4 star in my opinion and I would not stay there again. The hotel is on the corner of the main street which is great if you came to see the city but they didn't take into account parking. There is no place to park on the street and there is not parking lot. There is a parking garage next door which they charge you an additional $8 a day to use and it does not have direct access to the hotel so do not park on the upper levels or you will be carrying your baggage all the way back down. The rooms are clean which is nice but the coloring is ugly. The rooms are small and not well insulated so you can hear every noise that your neighbor makes. The hotel has a big gift shop and a restaurant right next door but for the price they should have included a continental breakfast. I could have paid the same price at a hotel near by and got a free breakfast, which I will do next time. 2 star hotel at best."

"Booked a nonrefundable room and paid a month ahead via Agoda. After checked in, the counter locked our room key and claimed that my previous credit card is failed and needed to pay again by another card. The staff guarantee the previous card wasn't charged so I paid. After finishing the trip I found out the previous card was actually charged and same did another card. I called the hotel and they said it's Agoda's problem, they couldn't find any done payment from my reservation record. I called Agoda customer service, agoda said it's hotel's problem. I provided all the document needed to agoda ten days ago, still the payment haven't refunded. I called agoda again and their respond is "the hotel didn't pick up the phone nor respond our email" WHAT??!! Is that an answer to a customer???? Terrible experience! Terrible hotel and terrible Agoda customer service!!!!! "
