A Room In The City
San Sebastian City Center,San Sebastian - View on map
"The best thing bout this place is the central location. Close to everything. There's heaps of negatives tho - stayed in bed, not bunks do awesome, no aircon and you have to ask for a fan, no avail power socket near the bed which is a pain and min space for your stuff."

Sercotel Codina

"Super cute and reasonably priced hotel in a very expensive city. Sercotel is not in the main area of San Sebastian, but it's in reasonable walking distance to all the action (about 15 min). It is in front of another beautiful beach. Only downside - rooms are very small. "

Understandably, the city is a favorite destination for surfers as well as adventure-seekers and those seeking a quiet vacation on the beach. The small San Sebastian Airport is located a few kilometers outside of the city, and it serves to connect the city to some regional cities. On the other trains connect San Sebastian to the majority of Europe, arriving at Donostiako Geltokia Train Station.

The bars and restaurants of San Sebastian are the perfect place to experience the famous Basque cuisine, believed by many to be the best in Spanish cuisine. When not exploring the dining and nightlife scene, take full advantage of San Sebastian’s beaches. The further out Playa de la Zurriola is a favorite among surfers and those looking to take full advantage of water sports, while the larger Playa de la Concha is perfect for those not looking to get too far outside of town but still enjoy sunbathing and other beach activities.

There’s of course more to San Sebastian than just great beaches, and a visit to some of the historical sites such as Palacio Real de Miramar is a great way to get to know the city and its history.
