It's a quiet city, not much of food choices, however there is a famous chinese restaurant in Jementah, which is the nearest town that you can explore when stopping in Segamat
if you want to escape from your busy OR you want to explore Johor from a different dimension, Segamat would be your must visit spot in Johor!
The large shopping mall near the train station was useful for purchasing some good clothing items. They had items not seen in KL.
Vegetarian foods were not that easy to secure. We found some at the coffee shop in front of the shopping centre. We would have liked to have taken local buses to any local attractions such as waterfalls or picnic areas or tour a fruit farm etc. I think there needs to be more development of tourism to attract more business and employment. We were attracted by the clean unpolluted air, the green environment, the cleanliness and no traffic jams!!!! Hope it stays a clean place.
The town needs a Lot of cleaning up. Looks Very dirty and dull. Warungs R dirty n Spoiling the surroundings.
Drains all clogged up n Smelly.
I visited Segamat during the durian season which this town is famous for, have a good durian trip. :)
