Best hotels & accommodations in Sliema

Perfectly acceptable little hotel in Sliema located close to the Valletta ferry terminal. Hotel is of the no frills variety but is clean, comfortable and has very pleasant staff. It also has a modest rooftop pool and a decent bar area. Breakfast buffet in the morning was also more than adequate. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to see beautiful Malta withou...

Before booking, I was unsure if it would be better to stay in the centre of Valletta or in the neighbouring district of Sliema. I think I made the right decision! This hotel is a minute from the beach and about ten minutes from the main shopping and restaurant areas, and there is a bus stop right outside which makes day trips a piece of cake. All of the staff I spoke ...

We have stayed at the Marina before and the service was as good as ever. The manager and staff are friendly and attentive, the location on the waterfront at Sliema is excellent for buses and for the Valletta ferry service. The view over the harbour to Valletta is spectacular. Off season rates are fantastic value. We stayed for 9 nights which allowed us to explore the e...

We spent one week in September 2012 at the Palace hotel in Sliema. The hotel looked exactly as the pictures on the website. The room was nice and clean, with a comfortable bed. The facilities were excellent, and the roof top pool was very nice. We had dinner at the TemptAsian restaurant which was also very good.

I was putting on the same floor with students from Germany. They were chatting in the hall way every night. They were staying there for 2 months. I did complain to the hotel and one guy was helpful and talked to kids for me, but other guys were saying I should come back to him if kids are still noisy after midnight. I paid the same money that they paid. why did I...

We recently stayed at the hotel for five nights and found it to be a great location to explore Malta using public transport . While it is a walk down into Sliema waterfront , this is manageable for most people. It is a slightly more gentle and shorter walk down to the Chalet area. This side seemed less hectic than the Sliema Ferries waterfront. The facilities at the ho...

We enjoyed the proximity to the waterfront and the amazing views from our balcony. There are good resturants just below and the biggest shopping centre in Malta, the point, is about 10min walk. Buzzing night life below too. Harbour cruises and tourists activities are offer just below the hotel. We highly recommend this newly renovated hotel, wonderful surprise. Thank ...

The hostel is really nice, clean, near to the bus stop, and restaurants. Minor things whih I don’t like: stains on the towels and sheets, the fridge was not clean when I got there, if you like sleep then stay away from the room near or facing the street because the hostel is across the school or library so you will hear children shouting and playing and even cars passi...

We stayed here for one night and the only friendly face was the room cleaner. There was hardly a welcome comment when we arrived from the receptionist. The barman in the lobby was quite obnoxious and disinterested in his job. We felt as though we were being a nuisance asking for a drink. We tried the so called "pub" instead and it was equally as disappointing.....

I spent there 4 nights and cannot find anything significant to criticize. Yes, the hotel definitely requires renovation, however is as clean as it could be. Yes - breakfast is basic, but this is a typical continental breakfast and you get what you want. Although I missed some vegetables a lot. I liked the staff, people are sooo nice there. The location is just perfect ...

We enjoyed our two week stay at this hotel. The cleanliness and friendliness of the entire staff made our trip amazing. The only con I would have is that there are no bureaus for your clothes in the room and also in the family suites you should have a microwave, so that when you brought leftovers home you were able to heat them up. A special thanks to a very dear st...

My staff was uneventful. I booked a 1 bedroom apartment stay but had a 2 bedroom apartment for the 2 nights. There were no towels in the room so I had to ask for these. Staff were all really helpful and attentive. There were loud people in the buildings around the apartment late at night but the hotel can't help with that. I would stay here again. The price was right a...

Fantastic location, in a quiet street under 5 minutes from the waterfront, where there are restaurants, shops and the bus and ferry terminal which provides access to the rest of Malta. Staff were excellent, they answered any queries I had and were always very friendly. The property had a lot of character, my room we spacious and clean. There was also a terrace and sma...

Traveler impressions of Sliema
Sliema itself is a 1970s holiday resort waterfront which is in the process of being transformed with better quality accommodation and shopping areas such as the Point at Tigne.
Sliema is a nice town located close to the landmarks of Valetta and other places. It´s very beautiful to see the narrow streets and the architecture.
Midway between Valletta and Gozo Ferry Terminal. Well served by buses, you have buses to everywhere. Be warned, many Malta's bus lines only run once an hour.
Sliema is not beautiful, it has suffered from a glut of cheap hotel building but it is a great centre for visiting all parts of Malta and Gozo as public transport is excellent, frequent and cheap.
Sliema is a hub for those visiting Valletta and surrounding sites. There are many small hotels and restaurants across from the Esplanade and two well stocked supermarkets up the hill from the Grand Harbour.
Sliema is a hub for those travelling across Malta or visiting just Valletta. Sliema has many clothing and boutique shops, a couple of good supermarkets, lots of restaurants along the Strand and many tourist hotels and apartments.
Sliema is the main shopping area of Malta and a number of bars and restaurants all along the strand the locals all walk along the seafront - more entertainment at St Julians and Paceville bus gets you there easily and night busses back.
Never opt out of a boat cruise that covers all creeks and starts from Sliema. Take a walk along the bay front and enjoy great food of all kinds
Sliema is a real meet and greet area of Malta. For visitors if they are not visiting the shops or relaxing in their hotel by the pool, the area is the best for a morning coffee and snack in one of the numerous sidewalk cafe's.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to st Julian’s bay approx 25 mins, 2 mins to Sliema ferries to Valletta and the bus stops and lots of restaurants close by. The hotel itself was clean, rooms modern and cleaned daily, and staff were very helpful. Would recommend if looking to stay in Sliema
