"Despite reading really good reviews about this lodge we were very disappointed with our stay/ Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not a priority (compared with other lodges we had stayed in). The pool was very green and full of insects, when brought to managers attention it was cleaned but should have been checked daily!!!! to late for the children to have another swim as it was cleaned on our last day and out of bounds as Chlorine bombs were added to pool. Food was OK but then we all had Dickie tummies (again only Lodge this happened in). Sorry to say we wouldn't recommend Desert lodge but the Lodge at Solitaire looked better and is part of the same group."
