Stinky lobby and room with crawling cockroaches, staff were not knowledgeable enough with our bookings. Not reading the paper that i gave her with all the details that I have being fully paid and still asking me to pay. not considerate enough stayed for few hours to catch early boat trip to siargao.
Run down place bad smell dirty and a real joke. I am surprised a place like that can be listed here. Don’t waste your money rather go somewhere else

Stayed 4 nights. Initial problem as sign at front did not indicate it was Borromeo Branch (unless i missed something). 30minute wait despite arriving hours after usual check in. Confirmed reservation ok. Room second floor.No elevator. Stairs only. Large room. Clean. No view except tiny window in bathroom of outside. bathroom clean and surprisingly modern looking. Wate...

Not only that, I originally booked for a bed in the backpacker room, but since there weren't any other guests that time, she upgraded my room to a suite at no extra cost! Bed was comfy and the wi-fi was reliable. Hotel is a 10-minute walk to Mabua Pebble Beach.

Small city. Can literally walk everywhere if your not lazy. Tricycles & multicabs everywhere. Big public market.
Not much to do in the city except try the various seafoods in the market. But this city is the jump off point for island hopping
Not a tourist town, no information available from Tourist office about how to get to islands and sight seeing, limited dining to McDonalds and other fast food places in town,

Surigao City has many more nice hotels than in years past-economy improving due to the mining business.
this city like a resorts, coz it's small and the sea is over it all the beach have resorts and place to have fun
It's really just a small city which mainly caters to the mining industry. That being said, it's growing at a fast pace and hopefully, maintains it's charm and avoids turning into a poorly managed urban sprawl like so many other cities in the Philippines.
The marketplace is the best source of seafood and you can ask any local eatery to cook your freshly bought seafood any way you like.
