"My friend and I stayed in a twin room with an ensuite- a nice, comfortable room for a hostel. (Some kind of soap holder would have been appreciated in the shower, though the bathroom was clean and water pressure was good!). All the accomodation in Sydney was very pricey during the weekend of the stay- given the fact, the cost of the room was reasonable. Beds were quite comfortable (double bed + trundle), there was a tv in the room (but no wifi) and the hostel is in a great location. Staff were friendly and we also appreciated the 'cinema' room, which has nightly movie screenings. There are also lockers downstairs where you can put your belongings after checkout ($4 for the first 4 hours and then $2 for the next 4 I think). The staff also helped us to book a YHA discount for the Aquarium. Unfortunately it was quite noisy on Saturday night (seemed mostly to be coming from drunks and hoons on the main road) but Sunday night was much quieter. Would stay there again if on a budget!"

"Travelodge Sydney Hotel is perfect for first time visitors to Sydney, returning visitors and the like. It's easily accessible location ( from the airport) and closeness to everything makes it the perfect hotel. Trains were only a few minutes walk away (Museum Station), buses, monorail and light rail were also within short walking distance. Rooms were adequately sized and well equipped, they also included Foxtel channels. The hotel is very close to Chinatown, World Square and Paddy's Markets/Market City so it makes it very easy to find something to eat or a place to shop. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Travelodge Sydney Hotel and I will definitely stay there again if I returned to Sydney!"

"Terrific hostel! Located in The Rocks (Old Town Sydney), near Circular Quay and the Opera House, this hostel was truly amazing: friendly and always helpful staff members who would patiently answer all my questions, a clean and bright room (4-bed private) with a bathroom that some 4-star hotels can't offer, Opera House view from insde the room (!), a gorgeous rooftop, spacious and well equipped kitchen facilities, internet, pubs right in front of the house, walking distance to convenience stores and fancy restaurants, and downtown right around the corner. A/C upon request, quiet at night, bright and colorful athmosphere... I could go on for a long time, I guess. I have traveled many countries and continents--this was a top-notch experience! Highly recommended, and Sydney is a fun place, too."

"Booking the Executive Room-City View at a really affordable price via Agoda is quite a steal. The room is spacious, the city view is indeed excellent, and the breakfast is sumptuous with enough choices. One minor draw down is the 10-12 min walk from the hotel to the train station. It is just near when we do not have our luggages with us, but if you have huge suitcases to bring, it can be tiresome. Very thankful as well to the staff for providing recommendations. Shout-out to Julian (hope I was able to spell his name right) as he gave us options when we were not able to borrow an available adaptor, by suggesting to check Woolies' Metro nearby. It is our first time in Sydney and the universal travel adaptor that we have do not include the one for Australia. There are also other establishments available and some sites are reachable in a few minutes walk - Australia Museum, Sydney Eye, Hyde Park, and the majestic St. Mary's Cathedral. We will definitely be back! =) "

"My family stayed at ValueSuites for 1 night when we had a long layover in Sydney. We arrived early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early, which was helpful since we were traveling with a 1 year old. They also allowed us to check out late since our flight was in the late afternoon the following day. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. ValueSuites is conveniently located close to the Green Square train station which allowed our family to travel easily to downtown Sydney as well as Bondi beach. And while there are no restaurants close by, there is a Woolworths about a 6 min walk away which has good food and since our room had a refrigerator and microwave we were able to make some small meals when we were unable to travel for food. We would highly recommend the ValueSuites to everyone! "

"We just needed a bed before an early flight and this was great - I was concerned it would be a bit shabby and dodgy but it was fine, everything was new and clean. We found the T3 parking was cheaper over the length of time we were away so we just parked there and walked over. Easy walk to terminal from hotel, no roads to cross. Room had enough room for two small carryons and us, probably would fit larger suitcases too. Front desk staff were very helpful even though they were very busy. Bit of a walk up to Mascot main street for food (nearby options are all fast food) but I'm sure you could get delivery. Nothing really negative - basic towels, no handtowels or facecloth, and there's only blackout blinds or nothing but these are minor. Unlike most hotels in Australia, I found this good value. "

"I was pleasantly surprised by The Capsule Hotel. If you can deal with staying in a capsule I would definitely recommend it: the capsules, bathrooms and kitchen area is super clean with no imposing odours either. I had no problem getting access to a shower in the morning and was able to make my own breakfast in the kitchen area. A big plus also: THEIR WI FI IS BUILIDNG WIDE! You can use it in your capsule, in the hallways, in the bathrooms or in the kitchen area. This is not always the case. I stayed at two places on this trip to Sydney and despite paying less for the Capsule Hotel it was the better venue. May not be ideal for senior travellers but a definite recommendation to young and middle-aged folks who are travelling on a budget and don't care about lots of space!"

"Extraordinary hotel with all the bells and whistles! Amazing value for money - until everyone else on the planet finds out about it! Walking distance to Sydney Domestic Airport and/or a short 5-10 min drive (i.e. depending on traffic). Close to all amenities if you ever feel the need to leave. Based in a beautiful tree-lined street with views to the Sydney CBD and only 5-15 mins drive away from an endless array of restaurants, cafes, bars and stores. Two bedroom apartment was perfect for four adults and had everything you could possibly ask for and so, so, so much more. All amenities are impeccable with a stunning, indoor pool, sauna and gym for hours of entertainment. In our experience, it is by far the best hotel we have ever been to in recent years in Sydney. We will most certainly be back - as long as we can continue to afford it and/or can get in!!!!"
